Sir, my lenovo t400 power button is not working. Whenever I plug in ac adapter and click power button it blanks out and lights also not blank out when clicked. Battery already not working, no hdd. It was working good earlier but now screen shuts whenever power button is clicked.
Try re_seating the LCD ribbon cable, clean the part with tooth brush and connector too. Put back and power on again see if it works...if not check continuity on fuse f7 near the LCD connector if good problem is on the backlight inverter in the display panel or the lamp in the screen...

I have problem with my display light, I can read what is on the display but is dark when I connect to an external display that works

Normally drivers ain't there...need to put gma drivers for display...try driverscape.com for your lenovo drivers
