Thanks BC for featuring yet another composer I’ve never heard of. I like Lekue’s French sensibilities combined with a leaning into what sounds like Eastern European folk tunes. Salvatori brings forth this repertoire with impeccable musicianship.
Once again you have introduced me to a Composer I am not familiar with. What beautiful Music, How sad that he died so young. but what a Magnificent legacy he has jeft behind, My heartfelt thanks once again.
I had never heard his music until now, though I had heard of poor Lekeu, cut down when only 24, or had he even attained that. Let us not forget that he shared something very important with Agatha Christie's creation. He was Belgian.
Please forgive me earlier faux-pas; of course his first name was Guillaume and he died on the day after his twenty-fourth birthday. I hear shades of Ravel here, but he wrote for many other musical forms. This is beautiful and haunting.
Glen Larson was inspired by French composer Léo Delibes composition "Marche Et Cortège De Bacchus" Act III - No. 14" from Sylvia (th-cam.com/video/0r0x9exRBh8/w-d-xo.html) when he wrote the Knight rider theme (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Knight_Rider_(1982_TV_series)). I think Lekeu's Berceuse was dated 1887, and Delibes' Sylvia premiered 1876, so it's very plausible that there was some influence there

I've never heard of Guillaume Lekeu, but god, what beautiful music he composed! Thank You BC!
same for me! it’s lovely!!! thanks for this to whoever put it in youtube!
❤
A brilliant Prodigy....Grand musical concepts rivaling the best.....BRAVO from Acapulco!

Profound introspection.....so rare.....BRAVO Maestro Salvatori......from Mexico!

Many thanks for the beautiful piano music of this very promising composer who regretfully died so young !
what a music, wow

Thank you!
Non conoscevo Lekeu. Interessante. Avrebbe dato molto alla musica. Thank you for sharing! Perfect performance!
I love this immediately!
wow, what a gem, what a brilliant! It's such a pity Monsieur Lekeu lived such a short life…
This is awesome!

Gracias por compartir tan bella ejecución ❤❤❤

Was it 'Morceau' that was completed by Vincent d'Indy? I'm a bit confused.
Maybe it was 'Quatuor a clavier.'
Rememeber😊
