I played the Symphonic Etudes ona grad recital in 1960... wonderful night... my parents took some of my music friends to spend the night in a hotel! I’m 80 yrs. old and those memories are like yesterday! Love this music!
susan hawkins I’m 70 and remember all my two concerts! Rachmaninov prelude, second popularity, and moonlight sonata, 4 times slower then all pianists played...
Susan: I played the Symphonic Etudes for my graduate recital around that time too. (I am 84 years old.). The fact that I could not memorize easily, my career swerved into teaching. Love Schumann!

I came here when Rafel in lacasa de papel said that he likes schumann . I didn't know what is was this thing , But now it is mind blowing . Thanks money heist for letting me know to these legendary arts
A really beautiful interpretation of the great Sonata op.11, one of the most difficult and high compositions in the Romantic period, full of profound pathos and also of rythmic zest , especially in the first, exceptional movement. Very deep and rounded sound and perfect balanced emotions, without lacks in the field of the drama! Bravo to the Artist, Schmitt- Leonardy, and thanks to Brilliant.
Robert Schumann. It's also a mix of quiet and upbeat music. I liked pop songs when I was young, but now that I'm older, classic music touches me more. Thanks for sharing beautiful music.
Schumann was, like Mozart and Beethoven - not just a great musician or genius composer - he also was, somehow, a spiritual mediator between this world and the world beyond.
Ascoltare Schumann é sempre una grande emozione. E Questa opera omnia é magnificamente eseguita da grandi e sensibili pianisti. Grazie sempre per regalarci questa emozione!
Pianos, unlike people, sing when you give them your every growl. They know how to dive into the pit of your stomach and harmonize with your roars when you’ve split yourself open. And when they see you, guts shining, brain pulsing, heart right there exposed in a rhythm that beats need need, need need, need need, pianos do not run. And so she plays.
Hello Klára, I am enjoying your wonderful piano recitals. Maybe you do not remember anymore, I am Sylvia Hetarihon, who taught you to use a tennis ball to do massages on yourself. I hope you still use that technique. As to your piano technique, it is just wonderful and I feel honoured to have met you.
i still find it courageous that Schumann expressed his inner turmoils - maybe due to a bipolar condition - in his two alter egos, Florestan and Eusebius. his discoveries, horizons and pains, became accessible for us. their musical expressions should be used in treatments, in addition to the one sided pharmacotherapies.
I discovered Wolfram just couple of years ago, thanks to YT, and now I can’t have enough of him, playing Schumann, Schubert, Brahms and especially Mendelsohn! I now prefer his masterful and artistically eloquent playing of Schumann to Gilels, who I worshipped all my life. Well, I’m happy that there are other piano wizards, who can fill the void, left by old masters. Klara Würz is another bedazzling artist, who captured the essence of Schumann’s and Mendelsohn’s music! Bravi!
Some of the Symphonic Variations give me goose-bumps, like almost no other music. Here the Anhang Variation 4 starting at 1:48 is played with great raptness.
What I love about this music is you can relax your mind and think of poetic ideas to write down. Next door to this music, Jim Morrison assists me the same way. Lol
It is a feeling of the supreme bliss exposed to the snowstorm to my whole body of cherry blossom petals totally in full bloom . From Tokyo of the Land of the Rising Sun .
@@complexlittlepirate3589 Thank-you Which is your country ? Take care of yourself Good luck ! Be on the alert for Coronavirus infection ! Someday please visit Japan in spring where the cherry blossoms are in full bloom ,
@@shin-i-chikozima I am in Australia. And yes, I stay home and work in my garden, and stay far away from other people, and am very peaceful and content that way :-)
@@complexlittlepirate3589 Thank-you so much to your comment . The number of Covid - 19 infected people in Tokyo goes up and down between 100〜300 every day . The back and forth of infected people continues unabated . But 「 Go to travel or eat 」 campaign has been implemented to assist travel agents and tourism industry and food shops and restaurants reducing accommodation costs and food shop's customers and inviting people to travel or eat . On holidays in Japan , the shopping streets are regaining their bustle and crowded with people In Japan , the infection to the family at home increases . What we are currently worried about is whether the Olympics Games will be held next year and people from all over the world will come to Tokyo . Hey that's true! Though it's just a simple V-I progression, I also like to think that Schumann wrote it down, thought "wait this is familiar", and just decided to leave it in.

I played the Symphonic Etudes ona grad recital in 1960... wonderful night... my parents took some of my music friends to spend the night in a hotel! I’m 80 yrs. old and those memories are like yesterday! Love this music!
Hang in there !
Fight to life !
Susan, do you still play the piano? 😊
susan hawkins I’m 70 and remember all my two concerts! Rachmaninov prelude, second popularity, and moonlight sonata, 4 times slower then all pianists played...
We love his music and wish it would be included in concerts andr recitals more often.
Susan: I played the Symphonic Etudes for my graduate recital around that time too. (I am 84 years old.). The fact that I could not memorize easily, my career swerved into teaching.
Love Schumann!
Repostng for myself (so that it's at the top):

THANK YOU!!!...THANK YOU!!!...THANK YOU!!!!....
Half of this is very calming. Half of this makes me want to run around the room and break things.
Schumann was mentally ill so I could see if this was how spontaneous he was at times.
You need medication! buy my weed in the description

That was Shumann’s brains and his life apparently.
These two halves are called Eusebius and Florestan.
OMyGod....Sensational....and....as always, that Arabeske, Op. 18.....FOR ALL TIME......BRAVO from Mexico!
....and Maestra Klára Würtz.....RIVETING!
Oui!
Oui, merci à eux ! (Sim, obrigado a eles!)
Listening to this music is like opening a door to a peaceful world, where every worry dissipates, and I can completely relax.
Wasn't Schumann a wavering light that transports one into an intoxicated escastsy ?🎼🎹🎵💫🎵♥️
I came here when Rafel in lacasa de papel said that he likes schumann .
I didn't know what is was this thing ,
But now it is mind blowing .
Thanks money heist for letting me know to these legendary arts
OH MY GOSH
WHAT A BRILLIANT UND AMAZING PIANIST!!!!!!!!!
There are actually 2 : Schmitt-Leonardy and Würtz, please look into comments section.
Yes: one the three great sonatas of the early Romantic era, along with Chopin's 2nd and Liszt's B minor.
I take Kreisleriana and Davidsbündlertänze everyday. But kreisleriana is definetly the thoughest cookie out there
According to the playlist the pianist in Opus 11 is Clara Wuertz
I'm so sorry he was a tortured soul....and yet .look what he gave to the world..............it will never die

Robert Schumann.
It's also a mix of quiet and upbeat music.
I liked pop songs when I was young, but now that I'm older, classic music touches me more.
Thanks for sharing beautiful music.
you dont need modern pop anymore now

Yes, Melek, this kind of music makes Schizophrenia worthy. They should play it in your local elderly home, on your recommendation.
The comfort of Schumann’s piano is off the charts, and unfathomable
Schumann was, like Mozart and Beethoven - not just a great musician or genius composer - he also was, somehow, a spiritual mediator between this world and the world beyond.
.
When it comes to the length of time, the world beyond is way way longer than our life time.
Nah, his wife was better.
the most consistently emotionally evocative of all composers
Shelling, the philosopher, says that art reproduces the creative mechanisms of life.
RS is my 3rd great uncle and I can only aspire to play as he did. Absolutely mesmerized by his pieces.
Very inspiring, I use to paint with oil around 2006 listening to Robert Schumann and Edward Grieg's piano compositions, great times.
Outstanding composer of delicate, touching music.
I LOVE SCHUMANN
He's quite satisfying as a composer isn't he! Enough drama, enough sweetness. It's all there
Hello Klára, I am enjoying your wonderful piano recitals. Maybe you do not remember anymore, I am Sylvia Hetarihon, who taught you to use a tennis ball to do massages on yourself. I hope you still use that technique. As to your piano technique, it is just wonderful and I feel honoured to have met you.
Great life, great work. God bless Schumann,
Hang in there !
i still find it courageous that Schumann expressed his inner turmoils - maybe due to a bipolar condition - in his two alter egos, Florestan and Eusebius. his discoveries, horizons and pains, became accessible for us. their musical expressions should be used in treatments, in addition to the one sided pharmacotherapies.
More inclined to think it was his syphilis.
Is this true?
@@emilianosb6541 -- No....the idiot is thinking of Schubert......Cheers from Mexico!
so relaxing, soul healing, taking you out into better happier drama free places!

man i LOVE Schumann. truly amazing
The harmony in this piece is simply breathtaking.
Aboslutely love Schumann's work!
Here the Anhang Variation 4 starting at 1:48 is played with great raptness.
a beautiful performance. a wonderful gift. thank you!
what a complete collection of piano masterpieces of the great Schumann. Thank you so much for sharing this with us. 🙏👍
What I love about this music is you can relax your mind and think of poetic ideas to write down. Next door to this music, Jim Morrison assists me the same way. Lol
Beautiful songs sounds good on the piano
Merci beaucoup
I love this composer.
Absolutely beautiful interpretation. Very impressive.
Absolutely sublime.
One of the best recordings for the symphonic etudes, and one of the most technically demanding pieces. Wish I could complete it one day.
The first piano sonata is so passionate!!
Especially the Aria, tugs at my heart
This sonata was essentially a love-letter to Clara Wieck, whose parents had separated her from Schumann.
Love it. Beautiful. Fantastic. Genius

I dont know If you realise that this tune comes from the Bach well tempered klavier prelude in e minor bwv 855, check it out
Hey that's true! Though it's just a simple V-I progression, I also like to think that Schumann wrote it down, thought "wait this is familiar", and just decided to leave it in.
