    Noooo you CAN use copper peptides with retinoids. Please don’t tell your viewers that you can’t. I have done a ton of research on this and have asked many experts and they say it’s fine. Penn Smith discusses this and says it’s fine as well. You can use them with Tretinoin or retinoids- it’s totally fine. It’s not a matter of canceling anything out but a matter of sensitivity. If you can tolerate it go for it. But I find copper peptides to be anti inflammatory so the pairing actually works well AND it actually can reduce sensitivity from retinoids.
    The only thing you have to avoid with copper peptides is ascorbic acid. Derivatives are fine. I probably wouldn’t use them with glycolic or other acids to be safe. The strong antioxidants are also fine. (That comes from the ordinary specifically anyway)

      I use my ordinary copper peptides in the morning and my tretinoin at night. Hasn't bothered my skin so I do hope the two don't cancel anything out.

    Hi Sarah & Community! I’ve been using the Peach & Lily for almost 3 weeks and am flying through the bottle crazy fast! I wish it felt more hydrating on my dry skin. I wish I had known the Ordinary had more copper peptides that I would have chosen that instead! Not super impressed with P&L. Hope that helps someone! 💜

    I get around the dropper bottle issue of The Ordinary's products by purchasing the NIOD pumps! They fit perfectly, of course💗💗💗oh yeah, I won't buy the Peach and Lily unless it's on sale 50% off cuz that's too much for what you get.

    I found out that Growth Factors don't cause cancer cells to grow it is like a reverse thing so if u have any cancer in your family u do t have to be worried by it. Kelly Driscoll did an interview with the maker of Stratia today and she explained the Growth Factors and Cancer thing along with alot of other stuff. I also heard that it won't cause cancer cells to grow from Dr Drea and another derm . I just thought u might want to know or watch that interview Kelly did with her it's pretty interesting.

    LOVE the Niod Copper peptide serum. More expensive than TO but think there is a higher percentage of copper peptide. It's also a watery serum. Obviously, more expensive (but I get 2 when they go on sale). Dr PIckart also sells a copper peptide. Going to try Pickarts when I finish up the bottle of the NIOD. I've tried Biossance, TO and Niod. Niod copper peptide is hands down -- my favorite.

    Good afternoon, Sarah 💙
    I have been waiting for THIS review for weeks since you first mentioned you were trying out the P&L. I, too, just purchased the P&L copper peptides and have been using for close to two weeks. I loved TO product when I used it about a year ago but went back to Vitamin C. I think I'm going to stick with copper peptides for a while because I loved the effects it had on my skin. I am enjoying the P&L but will probably go back the TO for the very reasons you mentioned. Why pay more for less copper, which is the main reason I purchased the product in the first place, and the results were wonderful. I will finish my P&L bottle and then return the TO.
    Thanks for your review. It has been helpful.

    Ulta just had a half off sale on the Peach & Lily peptide pro moisturizer (it was $22.50, regularly $45 full priced) so I bought it and just got it in the mail today so I tested it this morning when I did my skincare routine and I like it off of first impression. They also included a free sample size of the P&L peptide serum that you’re talking about in this video and I also just tried that too for the first time and it is very liquidy but I would need to use them both more frequently to really see if I notice any differences in my skin. I prefer a super rich moisturizer and I didn’t really think the peptide pro firming moisturizer was all that rich.. but it was definitely worth the half off price tag! That’s the main reason why I bought it lol

    Can you please comment on the obvious abundance of plant derivatives in the Peach & Lily? What are they there for? I have EXTREMELY sensitive skin and try to avoid plant extracts and added fragrance /perfume. Thanks. Love your channel.

    • @FuriedHearts
      @FuriedHearts ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hey I can help with this. Some of them have specific uses. Like mushroom extracts- these have beta glucans which are soothing. They also have hydrating properties and antioxidants. Most plant extracts have antioxidant abilities as well. These soothing ones probably won’t sensitize you
      But Peach and Lily goes overboard I think. Some of them like the eggplant and basil and all of that- we don’t have much data on those. I’m pretty sure they’re using a proprietary blend because I constantly see that mix in so many products (eggplant, holy basil, ivy gourd). But yes, if you have extremely sensitive skin or have allergic reactions a lot, less ingredients is always better

    • @marianneharms5836
      @marianneharms5836 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@FuriedHearts Thanks for the info. I definitely would err on the side of caution. I actually use a mix of Hyaluronic acid (Good Molecules currently) a very small amount of Niacinimide serum (also Good Molecules) a small amount of pure glycerin and purified water in a spray bottle as a serum/toner after gentle cleansing and then Skinfix barrier cream… a Korean hydrating lotion spf and then Purito BB cream if I wear makeup. All this keeps most sensitivity at bay, but even still I’ll occasionally get unexplained red blotches. (Could be hair products). It’s a struggle for sure. I’d love to be able to use some Vit C products or retinol/retinal but wow… that’s asking for trouble.

      @jillianmaloney3798 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah it does. I did that at first too. Depending on what specifically. I realized it wasn’t just about too many actives being harsh, but also effectiveness. But I read somewhere you can wait 30 minutes or more in between. I just do different things for different needs or days. Vitamin C plus TO Buffet w Copper can cause a yellow residue which it did for me around the edges of my face. And then any acids + Buffet Copper or Retinol + actives will loose their effectiveness unless u wait.

Copper peptides is high up on the ingredients too. Not sure if they disclosed the %?
