Blame the V10, not the shock. Even the Syndiacte and Fox admitted, that its not stiff enough by saying that some of the riders prefered air shocks, because they made the frame stiffer, since an air shock flexes much less under side loads.
I find this unacceptable for such an expensive frame, but as the fanboys say: Santa Cruz can do no wrong.

@@obi-wankenobi9871 yeah but how can the lower link of the v10 flex so much. Its just one piece with bearings 80mm or so appart.
Thats definitely stiffer than other bikes with direct driven shocks. The float x2 didnt last long in my old 2016 gt fury. That was a direct driven one.
@@lennyfellmeth7892 The strengths of something is not just determined by its shape. Material selection and thickness is what matters. Same reason why all the ripped of head tube about the grim donut are stupid.

Hi Pinkbike, just out of curiosity, is the negative air chamber on the X2 able to be tuned?
When you mentioned the spacers for adjusting the stroke length on the DHX2. Does that mean if my bike has a 62.5mm stroke length in between the 60mm and 65mm that they offer. That I could get one of those and then just knock the stroke length down to make it work with my bike?

@@aidenthwaits2646 Way way better than the Rockshox deluxe air shock!! I'm 85kgs kitted plus full bag and I went with the 450 spring. May go progressive spring one day to go down to a 400 for a little more supple. Once you get rebound set, easy to fiddle with the low speed. Wind it just about all out when climbing and its pretty damn good.

So if my 2019 fox dhx2 started leaking oil after literally 3 months or so and i had a warranty with fox would i get the new one?

Alex Marianetti dhx2 was never kashima coated. I believe it had a ti-nitride coat that made it look similar in color.
Will the stock dhx2 coil be stiff enough for since im 100kg?
Can Fox please explain the 45% price jump from NA to EU? We are used to paying more for the same products, even though the gross income is lower, but that right here is on another fucking level. At that price you can get yourself something like the Intend Hovershock that is custom tuned for you and completely hand made in small numbers in germany, not mass produced by some poor chinese factory worker.

You guys need to stop with the innuendos and sex jokes when I just want to learn about a product. I've come to expect it in the pinkbike comments, but not from tech editors. It's not appreciated, and it cheapens your brand. If I can't learn about products without teenage sex jokes, I'll go elsewhere.
