Super interesting mate! thank you for that in-depth talking. I've been wondering if a coil would fit better on my enduro bike since I come from downhill racing as well.
When the latest X2/DHX2 came out, I remember reading a review blurb that claimed that the X2 had an ever so slightly lighter LSC tune than the DHX2 to account for the, arguably, slightly damped ride of the air relative to the coil. I probably will never be able to find that article to prove it though.
Here is what I am running, from closed, relative to my shock tune: Float X2 HSC:8 LSC:9 HSR:6 LSR:5 220PSI 25% Sag 1 Volume Spacer DHX2 HSC:8 LSC:7 HSR:6 LSR:4 550 Spring 25% Sag
@@NekoMulally and you weigh 175lbs? I appreciate the information I was wondering why I had to pump my X2 up so much over my weight to get proper sag. Also how many volume spacers did your X2 come equipped with... Thank you
@@JWO1965 I weigh 185 with gear on... Probably best to just set sag, spring rate will vary depending on the bike. I'm not sure how may volume spacers come stock, usually 2 or three? Best of luck!
@@NekoMulally Are those numbers from fully open or closed? Because the 2021 has like 8 Klicks for HSR and I would really wonder if you would run it almost open with a 550 spring rate.
editing is getting good
agreed
Clay Porter watch out! Logan Mulally is coming
I think so also
That nose ride around the tree was dope. 🔥🔥🔥🔥
love these! keep em' coming gentleman.
Great video! Love the in depth insight!
Less maintenence with a coil, too. It adds up quick when you have multiple bikes.
I miss home... Hope you had some "Gallo Pinto con Lizano" brother

many shocks come with custom valving for the given bike, or can be custom valved. So the answer is that you'll never know.
Thanks for video, very interesting about shock settings in comment below ;)
Nice 👊
