Sir After cutting Vazhaithandu before putting it in water add two spoons of curd to the water. It will retain the natural flavour. This is practiced in chettinad.
My regular dish this one while cutting the veg I remove the naar and I put in to the buttermilk and along with the buttermilk I keep in the cooker and allow one whistle after cook I filter the buttermilk and can add little salt and can drink this is very good for those who have stone in the kidney this will help to remove ☺️

I usually hate cooking vazhathandu just bcoz of its cutting and cleaning process but while watching your video and cooking I enjoyed my whole cooking session! 😍❤️ I soaked vazhathandu in curd and added and also since I like coconut flavour I added little more coconut paste extra as a result the Recipe's final output was white in color it looked just like Aviyal and the taste was indescribable through words!
