    Thanks for this video, I learned a lot! My only comment is that why do even pro photographers rely on crop and don't practice framing right in the camera? Yes, the camera these days offer big image resolution. But still, wouldn't be better if we get the correct framing right in the camera? This photo shoot isn't even a candid shoot like street photography, wherein sometimes we can't help but to have unwanted elements in the photo. But this is a set-up photo shoot. You have all the time and planning for the perfect shot. I'm not hating, I love this video. I'm just curious. Thanks again for taking time to make these demonstrations for us beginners! Have a good light, sir.

    • @ridingdreamer
      @ridingdreamer 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Tyrone Daroca Pretty useless comment. Why do sculptures use chisel? Because they have that tool to make their art the way they want. Creative photography is as much getting almost right in the frame but fine tuning in post processing it.End of story.

    • @ridingdreamer
      @ridingdreamer 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      "My only comment is that why do even pro photographers rely on crop and don't practice framing right in the camera?"
      Really? Why can't pro photographers crop? Can you explain that? Why are you teaching pro photographers here (I am not a pro anyway)?. As an artist a photographer (pro or not) has all the freedom to do what he wants to make his creation the best in the way he wanted. I see you are one of those who is not in agreement with post processing.
      I am with artist and his freedom. And I like using tools and science to get things done. If a camera offers 24 or 36 mps why can't one use it to get a non-conventional but artistic shot with some margins for fine tuning later in post? Why are people telling get this right in the frame all the time even now? Equipment and possibilities changed. Get that.

    Yes, there is heat, but it is such a little amount for such a short time, that the you really aren't running the risk of melting plastic. And also, the bag would have time to cool off in between shots.

    If I had made a comment being as rude as you I would say your comment is fair enough, however I made a polite suggestion (which it would seem 44 people agree with) that would help improve the videos. Why do you think so many companies ask for customer feedback? I am just giving Adorama a suggestion which they can completely ignore if they wish. Also if you are capable of reading at the end I said 'great video by the way', so I did 'just watch the video and learn from it' :).

    Just a suggestion, when writing the title could you put the video title (i.e. in this case "Photography in the Rain") in front of the "Take & Make Great Photography with Gavin Hoey" because when this appears in the subscription box all I see is "Take & Make Great Photography with Gavin Hoey: Photography". Just a small thing but I think it would make it easier to see the video title straight off. Great video by the way :)

    Put your arm in front of a flash that goes off at full power... you'll feel the heat, even if you're not touching it.
    He's probably not shooting at full power, but the flash still generates heat. I'm sure it's still a risk to put a plastic bag directly over the flash.
