This does sound like a perfect spring/Easter side dish, or main-dish lathera with some Feta and bread! I've never washed my scallions like that; I've always just rinsed them before chopping, but this makes so much more sense! Great tip.
I did not grow up with artichokes. When I was older they became popular un spinach dip but you can't really taste them. I ate them in a salad once and was hooked. I like them too but fresh they are EXPENSIVE! I get canned and taste good. I will definitely try this dish.
Fresh dill is the best fragrant herb. It adds enormous flavour to anything. My Mum used it in many recipes along with other herbs. Greeks love fresh herbs and dried oregano 💗🥰
Artichoke and green peas soup looks absolutely mouthwatering 😋my friend simple healthy and delicious can’t go wrong with that thank you for sharing another amazing recipe with us my friend enjoy your day enjoy your family and God bless🙏😋💕🌏
This is such a great nistisima recipe -- The recipe I was thinking of uses red sauce. Thank you! *** Either way, you saved me time in looking for this recipe in my cookbooks 🥰🥰🥰 BTW... Kali Sarantakosti!
Good day Dimitra, I just made your recipe as a side dish for my poached in parchment pesto chicken/mini potato/string bean. I didn’t have fresh dill or mint on hand so I used a small amount of my pesto to your recipe instead and it’s wonderful as well. But just a bit, I didn’t want to take away from the pea and artichoke flavour, basil can become dominant in anything if too much is used. Anyhow, thank you for this recipe, it’s amazing…I can’t wait to try it with fresh dill next time…Ukrainian background, so fresh dill is a staple in a lot of my dishes. Thank god my wifey loves dill as well😊 Have a wonderful day☀️ Tim🇺🇦✌️
Made this for dinner when you first posted. Then I made it again but added some left over avalemeno soup that I had in the fridge so as to use it up. OMG…. Absolutely delicious…the stew came out so creamy and lemony. Just a perfect combination with the artichokes and peas!!! Thank you for your wonderful videos. My husband and I eat so well because of your recipes!
Di Israel, love this version of arakas using artichokes. I love the version with tomatoes and potatoes. Can I use the Jared marinated artichokes? I agree...more lemon, more betta! 🥰

I’m not a fan of artichokes, can I substitute Lima beans?
Great dish for Lent, thank you as always. One more question where did you buy you salt container? Please advise if you don't mind. Thanks!
Hi dimitra
Hi Dimitra, looks delicious ! 💛
WHERE is the LINK for the STRAINER (to rinse the scallions ) used in this vid?
I HAVE to have it !! 💜
I bought it at my local supermarket :) HEB has them
@@DimitrasDishes thank you !
Have you ever made this dish using fresh peas in season?
Would be good with feta….I would eat as a meal with bread…
38 oz or 800 gr of Artichoke hearts or it doesn't matter. Fairly big difference.
DON'T THROW OUT THE LEMONS after you squeeze them ! Drop it in cold water & make lemon water 💛💛💛
Or put in the garbage disposal to clean it and give it a fresh scent. 🍋 👍🏻
@@akm2743 I just got a house, after 23 yrs without disposal. You can't grind the peels in there, can you!?
Thanks for sharing but I'm not a fan of peas, lol💕
You can use broad beans instead or potatoes :)
@@DimitrasDishes thanks I'll use potatoes 😚
