I’m from Greece 🇬🇷 and you did a good job! Usually in Greece we also use carrots 🥕 Thank you for this delicious recipe
That's a great idea to add more sweetness to it.
Andrianna Botoni I was thinking the same not only for taste but color. Pees, potatoes, carrots, onions, and tomatoes are perfect combination.a great roast for non vegans would top it off.
One onion. 2 garlic cloves both cooked in butter or olive oil. Finely Chop 2 peeled russet potatoes. Add to the pan along with with some salt, black pepper. Add a can of crushed tomato. Add some water. Cover and boil then reduce to medium and cook additional 10 minutes or until potatoes are fork tender. Stir inbetween. Add bagopeas and a pinch of salt and dried dill. Cover a few more minutes. Add chopped mint to taste. This is more for myself than anything else. Its worth watching the video. 😀
Thanks for typing it up!
شكرآ لك ❤🙏🏻
Had this tonight for dinner served with some feta cheese and some crusty white bread. Nice and healthy. No sugar needed this time.
Thanks for sharing!
I can eat the entire thing by myself :)
Looks so tasty and easy to make! Thanks for this!

This was so good and simple comfort food. I come back to it time and again. I make it with fresh green beans, like my grand dad. Potatoes and greenbeans together. The flavor was good and rich. I never used dill before this. Thank you.
I'm a very picky eater and I usually hate vegetables but this is magic
I made this for dinner last night after watching... wow, it doesn’t look like much once it’s done but my goodness my husband and I both loved it! Thank you this will become a new regular :)

Greetings from Serbia.
Greetings :)
I see you like chilli flakes a lot, although for those who don’t know about Greek cooking, maybe it’s wise to state the chilli be optional, as it’s not traditional in this recipe, although I perfectly understand that it’s your own take on αρακά γιαχνί .ευχαριστο..
I do love my chilli flakes! I also always let people know that they are an optional ingredient :)
Πολύ ωραία!!!!!! 🤗😁
Euharisto :)

A favorite my mom always makes for me. I make it myself but we also add carrots. Maybe it is a regional difference? We are from Kalamata.
That would be nice for me as lent dish. Thank you.
You're welcome. Enjoy!
Dimitra, love your recipes, especially the Megali Nisteia ones, which I save for all our fasting days. Are u & your kids GO? Is your husband also or is he M?
Came from Butt saab's channel. Food looks yummy.
Awesome! Love his channel :)

Thanks for being here! I really appreciate the support especially after reading some very unreasonable comment...ugghhh. Anyway, thank you very much!
Dimitra's Dishes, many times I begin to watch a video and I realize that I don’t like the content. In those cases I just move on to another video. Well, some other people will give those videos a “thumbs down” or leave a mean comment. I just don’t get it.
Any way, don’t worry about it and move on with your life.
Your videos are well put together and I enjoy them.
@@thefigtreeguy I do the same. Thanks
If someone doesn't like the peas' natural sweet(-ish) taste, I've found that it helps to sprinkle some red wine vinegar on them and let them sit for a while before they're tossed into the pot. It gives a more stifado-like taste. If the weather is cold, you can add a small stick of cinnamon.
Great idea. That also deepens the flavor! I will try it next time :)
Yummy 😋
Delicious recipe..I added some sugar snaps (optional) it really complements this dish.
That would go perfectly with rice😉
my mom makes this without dill and with more garlic and it comes out just fine :DDD
Yes yes yes.
YES!! :)
I made this. It is so good. I will make it again. I made it along with an Italian chickpea flatbread. Is there a Greek version of chickpea flatbread?
I believe it would be the same. Any pita bread in stores where you live, or naan bread?
Got all these ingredients in my kitchen right now my dear Brasili, so guess what's on the menu tonight. Mwuah koukla mou. xx 😁
Yummm!! Enjoy!
I thought there r only similarity between Indian and Greek mythology bt there r lot of similarities between Indian cuisine and Greek cuisine too
We make this Dish in India also.
It goes well with rice
Exact same recipe but just replace peas with green beans. Another great Greek dish.
🤩🤩
Hi Dimitra do you have a good recipe for that tasty round village bread that you get in many taverna with a meal ?? Love your
cooking videos they are great i am 100 % Danish my Greek name is from my stepfather lived and worked many years around Greece i am a trained Chef but never got that recipe ;-) have a nice Day and Weekend from Bjarne Triantafyllou
I have so many bread recipes :)
It's similar to italian bread, but instead of only all purpose flour, it's a 2:1 or 1.5:1 type m yellow flour and all purpose flour mix, usually without sugar and you add olive oil for flavour.
My father makes a variation of this avgolemono style add dill and celery
Can you please make a recipe for koulourakia 😍😍😍
What is the shelf life on this? How long can it store in fridge?
👍
Is there another herb that cansubstitute or go with peas instead of mint?
Dill and/or parsley are great with peas :)
@@DimitrasDishes Thank you! "-)
i am so in love with you right now
Instead of sugar, I’d grate a bit of carrot. Sweetens the dish but does it in a healthy way
Thank you I’ll make it today and then I’ll write another comment 😂 thx lol
I did this with off cuts from lamb. D-lish
how about octopus stifatho with red wine and garlic
Add some tomatoes then you got yourself an instant sound silencer and some free socks
Kadın salçalı bezelye yaptı sonunda ekmeğe banıp yedi :D. Bizim kültürün aynısı..
Vegan spanakopita
Some folks add carrot
mine still looks red
Aloo mutter tamatar ke rasse ki sabzi
Darling in Greece arakas made with dill not mint
