    Nice video. I want to mention a couple things.
    1) the extra two gears have nothing to do with the Chevy running lower RPM in the top gear. The 10th gear ratio is 0.64:1 and for the Ram 8th gear is 0.66:1. So that’s pretty close. The difference is strictly read end gearing.
    2) Chevy has always been better than the other two in lower to mid trims. You can say what you want about the look, but features wise it’s no comparison. An LT will almost always have dual zone climate. Always a smart key (since 2019). And always the nicest available infotainment screen. With the refresh they have just extended that lead. It is worth mentioning that Ford has greatly improved the XLT options but wow are they expensive when you get them.

      Thanks for sharing and to your point, the RAM did have a 3.92 rear compared to Chevys 3.23.
      The Chevy interior hasn’t always been better but it is now for sure. I think for what you’re getting, the Chevy is the most cost effective without options 👍🏾👍🏾

    The computers are not that accurate. TFL does these MPG test and many times the Ram has been overrated after they top them off and calculate from fuel used! The GM's are typically underrated ! I think real world test the way TFL does these test is more accurate! Don't get me wrong, I love your reviews 🙂

    • @JB_WhoWork
      @JB_WhoWork  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Whenever I do my mpg runs, I notice that when you are consistent without idling, stop/go traffic, and consistent stop/starts the computer is pretty accurate. You can go back and watch my real world mpg runs and I confirmed this a few times. Thanks 👍🏾👍🏾

    • @MrJeffyb69
      @MrJeffyb69 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@JB_WhoWork I'm sorry to clarify "real world" I should have said "old school" method of actually topping off the truck , driving it a specific distance, then topping it off again to see how much fuel was used divided by the mileage. Almost every vehicle is off compared to it's computer, Some are overrated some are underrated. I get with your reviews that you are limited with each vehicle, but that IS the most accurate. From what I've seen the Ram has always been overrated. I am in the market for a 1/2 ton diesel and both of these are on my list, but I'm just sold on that in line 6 design of the Chevy. I will test drive both. In the past the interior was the deciding factor and the Ram won handily, but now that Chevy 🙂

      Topping off the tank after using only few gallons of fuel is far from accurate.

    • @MrJeffyb69
      @MrJeffyb69 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@benjaminwayneb How so? It's simple math, genius! It's called "MPG" When you use actual volume of a liquid (Gasoline) and drive a certain distance consuming such liquid, then filling up to the original capacity divided by distance that gives you MPG!!!!! Your computer in your car is NOT that accurate, research this buddy, it's all over the internet ! You can't prove mathematics wrong.

    • @benjaminwayneb
      @benjaminwayneb ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@MrJeffyb69 There's an air pocket designed into the fuel tank and filling until the nozzle clicks off in inconsistent at best, this method is OK. if your emptying the tank and refilling but on shorter trips when using only a few gallons it could easily be off by a quart or more, a quart difference in a few gallons is a 12% error in the MPG number.

      Why? the Eco-Diesel is a great little engine, that was never the issue with the RAM. It has always been the Bosch CP 4.2 HP fuel pump. If you run your Eco-Diesel under a quarter tank of gas, air gets into the system and the pump disintegrates and sends metal all through the fuel injection system. My issue has been with Stellantis, I filed my lemon law back in January of this year, and I have yet to have them honor it.
