When i made my previous station platforms, I used Krylon Stone Course Texture (charcoal sand) spray paint. I wanted that old dirty ,tan concrete look ,like what many an old sidewalk at train stations, looked like back in the 1980's. Great job!
When my mate went to America for a holiday a got an Amtrak train he forgot platforms are not level with the doors like here in the U.K. and went arse overhead 😂flat on his face ouch 😊,lovely job Dave Mark 😊😊
Great job Dave, I love the idea of the pen taped to the car. Make sure all your different type of equipment fit. Steam loco's, big diesels, heavy weight passenger cars. True story. When I worked for the Kentucky Railway Museum, they built a Bourbon distillery about 4 miles down the track and they wanted to check the platform they were building for the station they were putting. We took the excursion train down there. We had a Gp7 pulling, 4 passenger cars and a SW 1500. I was the brakeman on the SW 1500. It all went well. Later on, they took off the GP7 and put on a CF 7 and the steps for the CF 7 hit the brand-new platform. Well, there were not going to cut on the CF 7 to make it fit the platform. So, they had to rework the platform to fit the trains. You would figure trains would have a standard width, but no. I hope the 4-6-2 fits when they get it running. How are the passengers getting to the other, far side platform. Walkway across the tracks or under track passage?
Hey just a hint ( I learned from some bodies video) through a washer..nut bolt whatever....into though paint bottles then when you shake them it really stirs up the paint like the little balls in aerosol cans
How do they say, "Anything worth complicating is worth OVER-complicating!" Love your work! Happy Thanksgiving! --The Canada version is a different day, no?
Awesome demonstration. You did a great job. Excellent painting technique.

Platforms look great dude, you nailed the yellow lining, good techniques on show, practical and effective. Nice work mate.
Looking good Dave.
Happy modelling
Nice job Dave. It really came together, and I think the best part was the way you did the yellow line. Great content, Jersey Bill
Looks great Dave

I am planning on making a wooden path across the tracks. Might even add a barrier for safety.
Amazing work Dave, looks great. 👍
That’s a lot of work . I am sure it will look terrific especially with the new background
