Simon's been rimming Boehly since he walked through the door.
😂😂😂
😂😂
rimming n enjoying it
Apparently Boelly took Simon Jordan out for dinner in Qata. Since then he has been a staunch defender of Boelly
8:54 Simon love Billionaires and he always defends them no matter what they do.
People are finally waking up to the fact that Simon is a total waffler
When it comes to Todd/Levey. He has no objectivity
@@maxwellgrimes3704 When it comes to almost everything. He has been squirming about Fury losing to the best boxer of the current generation. Jordan is a sleezy typical posh Londoner, an opportunist that made money on the back of screwing other people's lives.
@@ivanaleksandartsanev1693He's not posh, went to a comprehensive school and left with no qualifications 😁
He’s not a bad boxing pundit tbh
Simon = top LAD proper clobber. Only facts from the DON 💯
P Diddy could own a football club and Simon would take his side 🤣
Yeah! And Simon might even take that! take that!
We nearly got bought by P diddy under Simon, I remember the rumours well as a kid.
Back side
Can you imagine Simon getting involved in freakOFFS 😂😂
OH MY DAYSSS 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Todd Boehly taking Simon out for that fancy dinner in Qatar a few years back really turned his head the same way Daniel Levy does when he has him at the Spurs stadium when he puts him in a fancy VIP box.
Same reason he loved Tyson Fury until Tyson told him to jog on
Simon Jordon is CEO of the poor persecuted PL owners & directors club. Always the victims. It's never their fault.
And "Nasser" and co. from PSG, around the same time he met Boehly.
What happens in Qatar, stays in Qatar.
Are you implying that Simon has a wandering eye for the male billionaire?
Didn't Chelsea try the "young upcoming manager" in Graham Potter and completely screw the pooch with that one?
I really like Simon, but he always defends fellow club owners, regardless if they are wrong.
shock, owner backs the perspective of fellow owner. worlds gone mad, lets hope we don't start getting players, agents and refs blinding backing each other because of their profession 🤡
He views fans, players, managers and the media(which he's now part of ) like widgets to be manipulated.
But at the same time, fans don’t know what it’s like or what it takes to run a football club. His perspective is actually useful. A lot goes on behind the scenes that we're not privy to so any insight imo is useful. And you say he has defended the owner's when he has criticised them as well. Imo he's just trying to explain what might be going through their heads because he'll have some experience himself.
Ppl jump on him because he doesn't back their viewpoint. The one thing he is right about is when you own a business you have to take risks. Time will tell if it works. Fans are volatile and Chelsea fans even proved that by asking for poch to go for the majority of the season then suddenly switch at the end?
A new manager comes and does well, no one will care about what's just happened
For all the criticism you can have at the new owners, yes they made mistakes at the beginning but the sale was last minute and they were learning on the job. They pretty much bought a new team. Some transfers were questions e.g. mudryk but then they got Palmer, Jackson, gusto, nkuku, caciedo etc. Imo they've accelerated the process of a revamp by doing what most would do over 6 years, in 2 so it seems drastic
And finally, for the love of God will Chelsea fans stop saying it's Bohley. Making us sound stupid. Edbahli has been the main guy behind the scenes and we've known that for ages.
Anyone who owns a club in PL. He puts down owners in the Championship.
' I really like Simon'. Stop right there chief.
Simon Jordan uses the top 6 finish etc to suggest Chelsea are not a mess and then uses the same details against Poch to say he's not good enough. Supposedly at the start of the season Laurence and Winstanley did a thorough search, their words, to appoint Pocchetino and now Chelsea, with their very clear vision, don't think he's the right coach for their project 10 months later.
They've already hired one yes man in Potter and that was awful to put it mildly. Chelsea are in a big mess mostly because they've wasted far too much money and are having to sell off anything they can. ie. their training ground, Conor Gallagher and I doubt Poch was going to put up with that.
That Birkin bag looks good Simon, did Boehly give you that 😂
LANDDDDD IT
Siri merchant gave him it.
Levy paid part of it
Jims grown a pair.
Simon would take the sauce from Boehly's tip if it was offered up.
He takes it weekly bruv
This is talkSPORT and nobody suggests Moyes should be in the running? I thought TS are all massive Moyes fans??????
Yeah this must be a top job and by definition Moyes must be in the running according to TS
😂
Bore off Simon
Simon is quite rational on most things but when it comes to Daniel Levy & Todd Boehly, he becomes weirdly defensive.
Boehly did his job and provided hundreds of millions for Chelsea. What more do you want him to do????
@@hus390 He didn't hire the right personnel to make use of those hundreds of millions. And while spending those millions, completely disregarded the PSR rules and are in danger of getting penalized.
Mike Ashley also previously
@@hus390how about spend the money wisely ??? They keep wasting hundreds of millions on South American teenagers and now we have to sell the likes of Chalobah and Gallagher to recoup to recoup the money.
@@hus390hire a competent manager would be good
When Simon gets it wrong he doubles down and tries to talk about it till people given in even though he is still wrong
There's no process Simon - it's mistake after mistake after mistake from this ownership. They stick with Pochettino (mistake) but once they finally got some good results in and finished decently, thats when they decided they should get rid of him (another mistake). It's a mess.
If taken in isolation and only considering Pochettino then it is definitely a mistake. But if they now hire Mourinho for example(who has a higher ceiling than Poch), then it could be a winning decision.
@@ThatGuy-tx4vmMourinho couldn't fix this CFC mess. Too many youngsters with fragile egos; Jose would crush them.
Chelsea under Boehly were a wildfire burning down the club. Poch put the fire out and started the cleaning up process. Boehly now’s got the petrol and matches out again. 😂😂😂
It isn't Boehly, it's Egbahli and Feliciano. Boehly wanted Pochettino in, but his Clearlake partners didn't. There's an Athletic article about it
@@wasimdbala349 thanks I’ll go and see if I can find that. 👍
Typical Talksport no mention of "Be careful what you wish for". Hypocrites come to mind. COYI
In his desire to protect the owners, because he once was an owner (go figure?), Simon Jordan talks his way into complete nonsense.
How can Chelsea expect immediate results when they are buying so many kids? And, chronically injured ones, at that?
Simon when you’re talking about anything but club owners/ownership. You’re one of the sharpest, most articulate and unbiased voices there is but as soon as an owner is in the firing line that all goes out of the window…
I like how bro always refers to the media like he's not part of it
Exactly man. This guy has podcasts and writes a column in a major newspaper yet he is not in the media. He uses fancy words and language to confuse people yet contradicts himself everyday.
Simon says they hav clarity when they’ve changed sacked 4 managers in 2 years lol only clarity is how far simons tongue is up Todd boehlys backside lol
Youre spot on
Stop it Simon. Get Allegri in.
Nooooooo!
Mourinho or Tuchel,
We need proven Champions League winners, Tuchel did it at Chelsea, Mourinho gave us 3titles!
Allegri? If he was any good he wouldn't have spent nearly 10yrs on easy mode at Juventus.
@@burnaardnufc3173 Okay... Who would you choose?
Man said Allegri, please stick to cricket
@@kaypakaipa8559just stop living in denial you need to realise these managers are never gonna be here under this ownership, Tuchel and Mourinho are not yes men that play attractive football with young players, which is exactly what they want
It's pretty simple: you are a rich owner, Simon likes you.
Absolutely FUMING
What load of BS! SJ has really lost it…
This is beginning to look similar to what has happened at Man Utd. The problem is that both clubs have been serial winners and have fallen from grace, and there is no quick fix. Arsenal had a similar problem and now seem to be on the right track. I think Pochettino was on the right track and his departure is very unfortunate. I honestly don't know who they can bring in right now to take them to a higher level.
alex crook talking asif he come up with the idea poch was going all he does is repeat what i heard someone else say 24-48hr ago
I like Simon Jordan, he has a very informative personality and calls people out but on this subject to defend a owner who has basically put the club on a massive decline is criminal. After seeing a progression with Pochettino in recent months there was some foundations where you could argue ok, let him manage and have a influence on the 2/3 players they need which is obviously not the case, (Cf) although Jackson was improving towards the end to then not back him is criminal. Where do they now go ? It's turned into a circus and all that is missing is them recruiting Lampard for a 3rd time. Go on Todd you know you want to.
Boehly has just put the clubs progress back another year. 4 permananent managers in 2 years is horrendous
Simon has found new friends to protect after protecting Levy from criticism for years......
The difference is the players Todd is signing aren’t good enough to win trophies in the first season a manager comes in, unlike previously a good manager came in and could win something. A good manager who will win trophies is going to want better players
David Moyes is free ? 😂😂😂
Rumour is Chelsea have approached the New York Giants about signing their coach
Simon's assessment is different cos Bohley is not from the Middle East.
Simon lives in a different world compared to others
Todd Boehly confided in Simon about the Tuchel sacking, and since then, his views have been biased. Just tell Todd you want a job there mate.
Want to change Simon’s opinion on you?
Take him out for a Michelin starred candlelit dinner and you’re the next messiah.
New studio looks like a knocking shop.
What has changed? A lot. Roman never gutted the whole squad of PL/UCL winning players overnight then filled the team of young inexperienced kids. For Pochettino to moulded these inexperienced kids into a team and take them from 12th to 6th shows they were going in the right direction. Especially when you consider in the second half of the season they were 4th, only gaining 2 points less than Liverpool. To suggest Pochettino didn’t have them on the trajectory for top 4 is ridiculous. So now they have got rid of a proven PL top 4 manager and are possibly about to replace him with an inexperienced Championship manager. Have they learned nothing from the Graham Potter debacle? It sounds like Todd Boehly might have. But he appears to be the only one.
But Poch put them 12th to start with
Was it Poch's managerial brilliance or the fact that the kids started to grow up and become more experienced?
@@kylowhen2639 Did he? Here was me thinking Pochettino wasn’t the manager last season. I mistakenly thought Graham Potter was the manager and he and Boehly drove Chelsea into a ditch. Funnily enough when Tuchel left Chelsea they were 6th and when Pochettino left Chelsea they were 6th. Tuchel has the best PL winning percentage under Boehly and Poch the second best. Potter nearly got Chelsea relegated. Poch had Chelsea neck and neck with Klopp’s Liverpool for points in the second half of the season. Poised for a top 4, probably top 3, finish next season. So let’s blow it all up again and put these kids into the hands of a Championship manager. At least the new manager will be dealing with players playing at a top 3 level and not bottom half of the table level that Poch was handed.
@@thetimeisrite It was Pochettino’s training and coaching that turned the inexperienced kids into a coherent football team that played the second half of the season at a top 4 level. Very few managers would have managed to turn things around from the wreckage of last season with so many injuries and so much inexperience.
@IMAC1776 so you missed the first half of the season then when poch WAS manager
Simon is so far up Boehly's backside that he can't even give an honest opinion on this mess that this new ownership has made
Err Simon - 2yr ago Chelsea were 1 year removed from winning CL & finished 3rd.... 600 net spend per Simon later they a virtually completely diff squad & starting 11 & scraped their way to 6th (after a disasterous 2022-23 season) with a bunch of players on Death Row contracts.
Arsenal after spending sim over 5yrs so less per annum have squad nearly as young as Chelsea (2nd vs 3rd youngest) but far superior and one that got out of the mud in 2019 to have participated in 2 genuine title chases - last time Chelsea saw north of 84 points was when they won the league in 2017... They haven't genuinely challenged since but have been a very good cup side (see CL & Europa ) & Boehly has destroyed even that🤷🏾♂️
That was the funny thing about what he said.
"Arsenal have spent £600 million in 5 years, Chelsea have spent net £600 million... In 2 years".
There's a 150% difference in time scale there 🤣 At that current rate, in 2029 arsenal will have spent £1.2B whilst Chelsea would have spent £3B in the previous decade.
The squad is not the same as Roman era.
Chelsea have visions of grandeur that ended when Abramo left. They’re trying desperately to paper of seismic cracks… 🤔
Todd said they were moving away from Romans way of just sacking managers
Two seasons and 5 managers later people will still defend him 😂😂
Why are those three sitting in my Aunty Olive's living room ?
Pochettino lost a one-horse race in France and put Kane on, who hadn't kicked a ball in over 2 months, ahead of Moura (semi hat trick) in Spur's CL final while Liverpool fielded their strongest team. How he is even considered for any top management job in football is baffling.
There's a lack of great managers around is why
I also will never forgive the picking of Kane ahead of Moura in that Final.
The Ipswich manager would crumble at Chelsea. Can’t believe he’s even being mentioned
He compared this chelsea side to Arsenal? That they are not from them. This guy never disappoints with his outrageous takes
American involvement in European football is always a mess. Even Nike, they have made some outrageous choices of away/changed kits for their sponsored clubs in the past decade.
We demand ultimate success and nothing short. I wanted this fraud out earlier on the season and I stick by it. Horrendous results that did turn better once pressure was off
Jim really is a creep 😂
This is the one of the best ownership defence I have seen from simon. Currently chelsea ownership doing self subortage.
I could not agree more with Simon...the manager decisions have been lousy, but the progress based on a complete player base dump has been heading in the right direction. No one will remember this in 1 to 2 years when we are back to winning trophies.
“Chelsea are a mess” declare a bunch of guys, forgetting that they were the World champs, sold in a sweepstakes, under unprecedented sanctions at the behest of a disgraced PM, who put his own Russian donor buddy in House of Lords. How did we get here? Because the playing field had been tilted against Chelsea, that’s how.
You are blaming everyone except the real culprits; the owners and directors have no clue how to get CFC back to the top.
@@Artome001 Man City came 10th and 5th (no cup finals) in the first two seasons under ADUG. Fergie took 7 seasons to win the League with MUFC. Arsenal haven’t won a cup since 2020. Lets not mention Spurs. Chelsea have always, always hire and fired coaches. One difference: nobody has ever been sanctioned and auctioned by the UK gov.
This is the American business model. They are running a business, not a football club. Get a mediocre "yes man" manager in, at a lower salary, fleece the club off money to recoup the investment. That's the same thing they are doing at Manutd
“Learn how to finish” 😂😂😂
I think the owners are doing something at Chelsea. It might seem all downhills but most ppl are not seeing it clearly. There is actually a method to the madness.
Simon says what's the difernece we where dealing with elite managers back then no elite gaffer would touch clownlake with a 50 ft barge pole these parastye owners have killed us
As a fan i dont wanna hear Boehly talk about a project anymore, he can shut it about trusting the process, there is no project there is no process, lets go ahead and win now. Watch him bring in a manager from the championship. i bet its gonna happen, then hell demand top 4 or a UCL title LOL this man is actually crazy and not the good kind of crazy
I think SJ has a fair point though, give the ownership time however there is no method behind their signings which does seem messy. However everyone thought Palmer was a stupid signing including myself, he’s arguably been the player of the season.
What project????
Wheres the fumes bit?
There is no balance in what Chelsea is doing or have done for the last 2 years. They just destroyed Pochettino's work to start over. This is a very young squad that just started to understand and respond to the manager, and now they are asking them to start over with a different manager
Well think of it this way, they had to do the exact same thing last year and went from 12th to 6th. Only now they will be more experienced. So I don't think it is really as bad as so many fans are making it out to be.
@@thetimeisrite I think most of the people commenting here aren't Chelsea fans anyway, they are just stirring the pot.
Can someone please turn Jim White’s microphone down a little🙉
Owners are a joke. Should’ve gave Poch more say in transfers!
Same people that were saying poch might get sacked 2months ago now forming shocked and outrage! You might not feel it was the right decision but don't be acting shocked.
Like I dont understand some Chelsea fans, this guy was losing till last 5 game of the season, conceded 60 plus goals and people acting shocked, like that coach is average and his team has no direction and he never won anything as a coach im okay with the owner’s decision
@@PeterObi-wm6uf Chelsea has sacked managers who won titles, and yet here are fans saying they are shocked at the departure of a manager who scraped into 6th with the highest goals conceded in Chelsea Premier League history. People need to stop overrating the last five games as if there was some miracle surge of form. Spurs was the only team above Chelsea on the table, and they were having their own crisis. And Chelsea didn't exactly crush the others. We needed two late goals to see off Forest, and would have drawn the last game except for Solanke missing an open goal from two yards out in injury time. I would have been ok if Poch was given another year, but I'm not shocked about what has happened. Poch seems like a very nice guy, but there's no room for sentiment in high level professional sport.
If Boehly was Saudi, Simon would have went on a crusade against the owner.
Only 5 points off ucl football tbf not that much of a mess
Simon is actually saying that nothing has changed at Chelsea and that it has always been like this!
No self respectful manager will take the Chelsea circus job...
Simon's right..
Simon definitely has an interest somewhere here with the owners of Cheatski. You know when he has a financial interest in an 'entity', his whole approach changes to the norm...
How have they got “clarity in what they want” when A they wanted Poch a mere 12 months ago and B there is 4+ candidates
From a neutral perspective, the only net short term positive, that the owner of the club have done is buy Cole Palmer. However Palmer's talent was nurtured by Pochettino. The other signings might eventually turn good, but they overpaid. If I was a Chelsea fan, its great that they are focusing on the long term, but they completely neglected the short term. There needs to be a balance of addressing the current needs versus long term development/investment (future needs = luxary wonderkid players). Clearly, if you can see they have no idea about running a football club as everything they have done is what a Private Equity firm would do, cut the fat, become highly leveraged, borrow tons of money or going into debt to buy future/long term assets. The owners should set the budget and yet the experts select the manager and players, and they should focus on building a new stadium and expanding commercial/sponsorship opportunities.
I love Simon the way he speaks always speaking my mind
Tell me one player that the sporting directors have bought for more than they were worth, then tell me how any of those players could have been bought for cheaper.
With no striker Simon!?!? They wasn’t any poch signings either
Jus because Jim didn't get any hanky panky don't take it out on Jordan
Who else should he take it out on but the man that he wanted the hanky panky from
Normally I agree with Simon regarding Chelsea, I think he gives a different perspective to what armchair fans might see.. but there’s absolutely no way boehly (bedhad egbahli) has not created and perpetuated this mess.
Owners are utter disgrace id have last owner bk in min they want manager tht they can control its ridiculous
Simon Jim and Danny is the best trio
Simon is entertaining in that he is outspoken and never fence sits. But Eddie Hearn exposed and hit nail on the head when he said that Simon makes out like his opinions and things he says are facts.
Time will tell whether the owner are mad or smart. Give it couple years
Dont blame poch in the sleighest, dont think anyone could have done a better job than he did with that useless board and clusterfuck of players
Good job Simon, he is always talking senses. Sometimes might not b nice to hear, but it's the reality. Reality is harsh
Everyone's out of step except our Simon
🙄Thank God Sir Alex Ferguson isn’t managing in this era. It’s absolutely ridiculous. He would’ve been sacked. The Chelsea owners are clueless. They’re most likely going to go through, another transitional year and might finish lower in the table.
Jim White and Gerard Depardieu every morning on Talksport... 😎
I actually agree with Simon if you listen. I never wanted Poch in the first place and he got some form in the last games of the season. If being picky the games against Bournemouth and Forest we were lucky to get wins but saying that it was a surprise to see Poch get sacked now but obviously there is more to it. Perhaps Poch wants the Bayern Munich job? He has already said he would love to go back to Tottenham, Tottenham FFS!
Not all Chelsea fans will be sad to see him go but it all rests on who comes next. If Tuchel comes in (very doubtful) Poch will be forgotten instantly but if we get a young manager who hasn't any experience with top flight clubs there will be problems.
How can Simon honestly not say Chelsea are a joke?
Poor management of player recruitment, managers appointed and ultimately the finances spent and wasted 🤷♂️
If I was an up and coming manager I'd stay well away
2 owners, 2 sporting directors and Simon Jordan all talking the talk... blah blah blah
SJ “… am I surprised? I am and I’m not” you can’t say everything and nothing. Is it right or wrong, Simon? No one would go to Chelsea or Man United at this moment in time…
imagine not wanting to move from Stuttgart to Chelsea. 🤣🤣
Simon Jordan knows that u need talent and money to win, all Chelsea are missing is a coach that can put it together. What other team in the prem has the luxury to sub on players like Sterling, Nkunku and Reece James?
Simon is so correct on his assessment
Does Simon Jordan talk in his sleep. Wow he really does go on a bit. Thank goodness we have Jim there. Once he starts talking he cannot seem to stop. I've watched and listened to sport all my life but I must say it does get a bit tiring once Simon Jordan starts his monologue.
I'm surprised he got sacked after a great end to the season..
We were told the model was going to change
As always, the people who have never run a football club think that the real experts on running a football club are themselves. This is how the Dunning-Kruger effect works.
Simon Jordan is clearly in Boley's pocket....proper rent boy
