I know I'm late to the party but.... I just received my pair of BR03's about a week ago. And my experience was completely opposite of this review. I have a small listening space (12' X 10') Streaming Qobuz > SMSL M500 MKIII > Cambridge Audio CXA61 Integrated > Triangle BR03. I am in 100% agreement with Sean @ Zero Fidelity. I also have a bit of room treatment. I absolutely love these speakers Cheers.
I have these with a rotel a11 tribute amp. I find the set up really pleasing, clear, clean an natural. Bass is good, not mega deep but it’s there and even at high volumes. Detailed sound, good separation. So for the cost I think for me they are great 👍
I have been waiting for you to cover these....Not what I am used to hearing about them. Thank you for your honest thoughts. Keep on keeping on.and stay safe. :)
Agreed. One of the other popular YT audiophiles admitted straight up that he was helping them expand into the North American market. Kind of hard to completely believe his review. These guys (Tharbamar included) have a huge influence over the community. It's kind of hard to resist buying new gear sometimes. Still enjoying your Axiom speakers?
@@rubytran202 If you are referring to Sean at ZF, he would only want to help them if he liked their product. If anything, I can't see him giving anything but his authentic feelings. He typicially won't review something if he doesn't like it.
I also have BR02's for circa 3 months and they sound very clear, with a really nice sound (powered by a Cambridge AXA35 and a Yamaha CD player). I don't kow other recent speakers to compare).
I had these paired w a hegel h70 and was disappointed. Listened for two wks and was gonna send them back. Before doing so, I paired them w Emotiva XPA2/XSP-1....WOW! Completely different experience. The brightness was gone and the bass I’d read about was everything I expected and more. I love these speakers. Perform better than triton7s I had previously used. Hard to believe this is what $500 speakers sound like today.....
Great sound.... Triangle is a underated brand in the jungle of speakers... I have love them long time but i got stuck whit my old aad speakers... Its insane how much a good amplifier can do... If you want my first tip to a good stereo experience is put most money on the amplifier... A strong powerful, justice amplifier from thst you build your hifi... Thanks for the session 🙏
I'm really glad that you've mentioned the Focal Aria 906 as a better, if more expensive, option to these... I think I'll avoid the Triangle. I'm still trying to decide between the LS50 and the 906... I really like the soundstage and detail from my KEF Q100 speakers but as always there's the plan to upgrade in my head 😁
I have these and like 5 other pairs of 500-1k speakers, these have by far the most bass , not the clearest but most impact bass for sure, he is 100% wrong on this
I had them. I couldn't get the bass response out of them either. Tharbamar's response graph was totally what I heard from my room. Tried different rooms and equipment as well. Thought the highs on the 3's were gritty. Just ordered a pair of Borea 2's. I didn't want to give up on them. Z Pantera's sound demo of the 2's was much better to me, highs and lows. Is it due to the crossover or rear port I don't know. I'm gonna find out since I just a deal on Slickdeals! The tone was great though. That's what I loved and made me want to revisit. Happy Listening
@@hossetttren253 I have about 15 hours on the the Borea 2's so this is not going to be a great judgment on these yet. That being said they are a different sounding speaker than the Borea 3's. I like the Borea 2's better. Mid-range is the star of the show by far. The highs are rolled off compared to the Borea 3's which I prefer. The grittiness that I sometimes heard with the 3's is not apparent here. The low end at this point is just basically mid-bass. These are tiny speakers. Z reviews got it right by calling them the Baby Boreas. And he also got the total review right for each speaker (the 2's and 3's) in my opinion. These are non fatigueing speakers that shine with voice reproduction. We'll see if the bass changes within the next 50-100 hours. I like this sound signature better than the Borea 3's but that's just me. Its a more mature sound. So It depends on what you're looking for honestly. Happy listening ✌️
I have these but they absolutely need a breaking in period, the speaker really does change over time, i use eith an SMSL AO200.. And a sumico sub ,, very nice 👍
@@Tharbamar hi yes, even though I enjoy them I still think there is something more they can give, maybe a Danny Richie ,gr research crossover upgrade may take them up a notch.. Thanks for the review 👍
@Tharbamar I appreciate the fact that you give your honest personal opinions without being influenced by what other reviewers may say. It doesn't make any opinion less valid, as it's just a subjective point of view. I've seen a few products that the YT community in general gave high marks to and then you get it and seem to be less impressed. I think it's good that you state your opinion even when it's in the minority. Audio comes down so much to personal preferences, and sometimes I think people get caught up in what they're told sounds good rather then what they think sounds good.
I have no idea about other reviews because I do not watch them (knowing reviewer business), I only listen to my audience request and try to get my review samples to share realworld honest experience with my viewers, that's all, thanks
@@Tharbamar Well, whatever your process is it's truly and genuinely appreciated. You're vastly different from other YT reviewers, and I enjoy their content as well, but it's obvious that you don't follow the pack. You can sometimes draw lines between different reviews and follow the common threads. I'm sure many of them communicate with one another as colleagues and share their thoughts and opinions, which again is fine with me, but sometimes repetitive. Your opinions always come across as uninfluenced and honest. I'm not someone who comments much, but I've followed you for a couple of years now and I'm grateful for the time and money that you invest to do this.
Interesting difference of opinion on these speakers from pretty much everyone else who has reviewed them, big respect for you not giving a shit and just telling us what they sound like in your system. All those B&W haters are not going to like hearing you say a B&W is warmish compared to a speaker everyone else has said is neutral lol!
This speaker is too neutral that my B&W sounded warmer, I think people really need to try B&W speakers with right components to get the best sound. PMA-SX11 is so revealing that it would show weakness or true signature sound of paring speakers clearly. Thanks
I don't know, man, I've probably seen all the reviews you have and I got the feeling from all of them that they are too lively and cooler sounding if you listen closely to what Sean and others are saying. I'm sure I would love the soundstage but they would be cool and fatiguing for me.
I just purchased a pair of Triangle Borea 07 floorstands because my old friend told me this brand is easy load for low powered tube 10w amps but when i saw that floorstander with minimum impedance 5 Ohm and 92dbwm y just into get two of it, i think it will pair great with my also on way "amp for more than 4 ohm speaker" "low THD" Topping B100 monoblocks (thanks to your review), my great sounding Promitheus TVC passive inductive line stage and my also Topping E50 DAC powered by linear PSU all wired with canare interconnects and Sommer coaxial speaker cable, great review liked subcribed!
The first song in the demo sounds really nice but the others not so much. I briefly owned the smaller BR02. I was impressed at first, especially for the price and even considered selling my much more expensive speakers. But the novelty quickly wore off and the Triangles started to show their weaknesses so I returned them. Nonetheless for the price they did a few things really well and it could have been a question of synergy with the rest of my system.
I have the Triangle Zetas, similar to the more expensive color series with a titanium driver. I presume The Borea should sound similar with more bass, midrange bloom but not sure. While the Zetas are small and can sound thin, they do voice very well with some high end sibilance if paired with a brighter amp. I do like them and wil use them for desktop use. From what I heard, I like Triangles and also Focals having the 807W which should compete if still not beat the Aria 906. I am not as fond of the Poron tweeter compared to the 807W tweeter. Either way, the French sound is typically more lively, forward. In comparison, Wharfedale 225s sound warmer, have less inner detail/layering and don't perform well off axis compared to the French speakers. These keep a nice tonal balance everywhere in the room and image very well...IMO and tastes. But as someone requested below, if you get a chance for Quad S-2s...definitely another speaker I really like though a bit more laid back than the French ones. Around a grand or two seems to be a real sweet spot for bookshelf speakers. Appreciate your videos and opinions. Thanks.
Thanks for the review I like the no nonsense and truthful approach. I just watched your video on these the Triangles and the one where you cover the Focal Aria. When I listen to the demo through the headphones I feel that the Triangles are a little more what I would call light footed and I thought that Yao Si Tings vocals were clearer and also the Cello were more present (like a real cello somehow), The focals went deeper though - but maybe at the cost of being a little muddy and some high end definition? Of course I am listening over youtube and a pair of headphones so it is difficult to say whether that is just an impression I am getting. Also I am over 50 now and my perception of higher tones may be different to someone in their 20s or 30s. The reason I am asking is that I currently have a pair of LS50s which are also a small speaker. Their mid and treble is fine for me but our living room accentuates bass so I am looking for something front ported which won't be as boomy.
Totally agree. I have the CM6 S2, which I got for a very good price used. Every time I think of upgrading, nothing even comes close to it in the price range I'm looking for. Some worthy challengers in my opinion are Proac, Spendor and Harbeth speakers but they are quite expensive and rare to find used.
@@quitegenius Nice speakers you have, I own the 706 s2 and you're right regarding price but great speakers like you pointed to tend to hold value even on the used market
@@higobatman I'm sure they sound good but in every demo I've heard (online) b&w sound more open. I'm a big fan of open sound, and my musical taste leans more towards heavier music which can sound muddy on speakers that aren't very transparent and open. The downside is that it can also be a bit unforgiving and fatiguing at times. I personally love that sound signature though.
I rarely comment, but in this instance I will. In this recording they sound really bright and cold. I cannot stand bright speakers, because I immidiately get fatigue and my eardrums start to vibrate painfully. So it's really strange because I listen to these speakers for hours on end. So whats happening here? To me they sound smooth, warmish and only on some really bright recordings they start to fatigue. (I did pair them with a brighter amp and then they come more close to this example, but still not as bad). Update as of 3-12 2021, so I moved houses and I set these up in a totally different room, and after a couple of weeks I really couldn't stand them anymore. They are as bright, and maybe even brighter than in the recordings. I first thought that is was because of a overly reflective room. Mind you I had no absorbtion panels and every surface was hard/reflective. So I made absorbtion pannels (8inch thick) and 15 of them. So I hang them and immidiatley I got a great centre image and there was way more defnition and seperation. But to my surprise the sharp birghtness stayed. So bad that I couldn't stand to listen to them for more than an hour. My head would hurt and my ears would ring. So after some debate I decided to buy the Focal Aria 906, I haven't done any critical listening yet, but when I do I will give you an update. But what I can say is that the Triangle Borea Br03 are really room dependent. Not only for reflectivity (or lack of absorption) but more of room demension. Because I cannot understand why they would still be bright even after all the absorption panels I hang on the wall. I can also not put my finger on it regarding the fact that they played nice in my old house. Other than room size. The room was as reflective and was as bad optimized for music/sound. Old room was 19 by 13 (6x4 metre) feet, my new room is 8 by 14 feet (2,5x4,3 metre).
@@AmbientWanderer Can be, what I find annoying is that people see one video in which the speakers sound bright and immediately they made-up their minds and the speakers are crap... I trust my ears when actually listening in my own environment and I'm really happy that I bought them.
@@MrBouncingDeath Yeah, this is the problem for sure. I've personally never heard these Triangles, but they seems to get good feedback not only from review sites and TH-camrs, but also from many Forum members. right now i'm looking to upgrade my speakers. I currently own the Q acoustics 2020i's which are not bad at all considering the price i paid for them. But now i'm looking for something with more impact and better dynamics to the sound, while still remaining fairly "warm sounding" My Q acoustics are just lacking that impact- and a little to held back/ slightly too polite for my taste and the bass is just not enough for me. I listen to a lot of music Genres, so i really need a pair of speakers that do well at playing different styles of music. Did you audition any other speakers before buying the Triangles? And which amplifier do you have hooked up to the Tiangles?
@@AmbientWanderer Yes I did, I looked into Dali and I looked at klipsch RP600m but the problem with both: brightness. Those speakers especially klipsch was hard to tame. So I went for the Triangle. They are also a bit bright if you pair them incorrectly. But they are good to be tamed. I too listen to a lot of genres. Especially classical music can be demanding. With these speakers I get into the music and I forget (sometimes) that I'm listening to speakers. When there are a lot of instruments the music can get muddled but other then that soundstage is good and separation is not bad (but also not great either). It's just a nice all-round speaker. Bass is definitely there. But it's not fat (like Dali) and also not earthshaking. It extends just enough that without a sub it's nice and you do not need one but with one it will be even more fun. Next year I will add a sub when budget allows. Where are you from? If EU it's a no-brainer.
@@MrBouncingDeath Oh and by the way, I just listened to Z reviews sound audition for the Triangle Borea 2's, and they did NOT sound bright at all! And he's using very good microphones. So that leaves me to think that Tharbamar's bright sounding conclusion was most certainly down to his room acoustics.
He is right on.i waited a month or more to get them.used them a week put them back in the box and they sit in the garage...they will be shop speakers ...i would go klipsch for under a 1000$
They seem very extended in the high frequency, it makes some instruments tonaly rich in that regard of medium up to high peak like the metal strings, female voice, the drums, but also overshadows and takes the warmth and body out of others , for example the violins were out of warmth and body for me, thin, cold. That dip in the 60-50 freq range is problematic, not my kind of lounging musical speakers. Thank u Tharbamar for such a clean in-depth review ! Im curious if u could review some Monitor Audio Silver 100 in the near future or maybe the new Bronze series, im curious if u find'em bright for ur ear.
I like the review and appreciate the sound examples. Some say that you can't get a good example on TH-cam, but I disagree. You can't get a perfect example. The home viewer with a good system can hear the difference in sound. I do wonder what a discontinued JBL 523 to the BRO3. Thanks, Thar
It could be the recording device used to create this video. Or the partnering equipment, or the overall system matching. But in this demo, the speaker doesn't cut it. Starting the upper mid-range, the speaker loses it completely. It gains back composure when it reaches the high notes, but still not there.
I think that evaluating speakers that cost under 600USD with HIFI that costs thousands of USD will not help most of the consumers/audiophiles. I have bought (3 months ago) BR02s, a Cambridge AXA35 and a Yamaha CD-S300. This stuff can be the best or not so for the BR02's, but is at the level of the separkes in terms of pricing. I can't imagine a Krell or a D'Agostino amplifier involved in a review of BR03's... However, I admit that rou're trying to evaluate the limits of the speakers with the best HIFI stuff that you have by the hand and probably feel adequate for the review. Anyway, I think that your reviews are valuable, as they seem to be honest. Best regards from Portugal and stay safe!
These Triangle are cheap, 400€ as standard price. Wondering how they compare to the Wharfedale Evos 4.1. Thank you for your opinion, we had enough youtube hype for them.
From my experience Evo 4.1 has better low end extension, i believe that Diamond 11.2 wich i owned even better bcs of the cabinet size/ woofer. Better pin point imaging, better soundstage depth, i think its due to their bass dispersion system that the wharfies creates a holographic sound feeling, like the sound leaves their cabinet and reaches you, very revealing speakers beacuse the hig freq is rolled so off that u can hear crystal clear all that musical beautiful low to upper mids small details, and due to their bass there is a beautiful decay and tonality that makes any instrument or warm voice get right under ur skin. Their cons are that they are very dark laid back speakers compared to triangle or even other warmish speakers, they dont deliver any energy on rock fast music, they are not dynamic and can be borring at times, but their weakness is also their strenght.. their not bright and fatigue like this triangle, they veil u in sound and u can actually read, sleep, eat on them all day long, u can play any bright music and still enjoy its musicality without getting fatigue, i think that is the real audiophile experience, enjoying ur music for hours and hours in sublime revealing detail and buttery warmish cozy going without thinking man this song is too much or this is so bad recorded or bad highs extended etc, even revealing at very low volumes as much as u want. I found myself so happy at nights sleeping and reading on them, miss my wharfies.
@@Mihai092 Thank you so much, thats the 2nd detailed and very positive review (one i found on a forum) ... yeah think the Triangles are overhyped, and the Wharfedale are the underdog here - espacially the EVOs. Think ill risk it with the 4.1 - even they cost 100€ more. The drivers seem to be of higher quality and the cabinet of a better build - it´s so much heavier. And the (white) EVOs are simply beautiful, not like the Ikea style Triangle.
@@GregorMima if u consider buying the Wharfies u will not be dissapointed but if ur new to this i warn you that u will have mixed feelings about them. You will feel like the tweetter is covered by a blanket ( even if the evo got the ribbon tweet they are still laid back as a mofo ), expecially if ur ear comes from experiencing only the classic silk treated dome regular speakers. You will feel like there is no emotion in the high freq. range and always find urself pushing the volume up because its not really natural hearing lets say a high pitched voice in such a rolled off and veiled way by the mids and the lows. You will feel like there's something not right with em, but they sacrifice/trade the emotion in the H-freq to give something more refined, more magical and long lasting satisfaction, they are very refined speakers and takes time for ur ear to dig them and cherrish them for what they are. Also it counts a lot the amplifier ! For me they sounded the livliest and tastiest with Audyssey room correction ON ( Denon 1600x receiver ~100 w per channel ). If you want an in-depth review on them i made one a while ago based on my experience and weeks of songs on them. Just search on google "Monitor Audio Silver 100/ Wharfedale 11.2 Review | AVForums". Hope it helps !
The Bro3 needs 50-100 hrs of break in!! I was a die hard Wharfdale Diamond 225 fan. (Still have them). Love the mid range and easy to the ear upper range. The lack of speed in the base and the laidback uppers made me look for something different. Something more engaging. I fell for the hype of the Borea Bro 3. Found a pair on Black Friday sale. Hooked them up and gave them 10 hrs of break in before the first listening seassion. Harsh and shouty upper range. Thin and dull base. I tried different placement, different amps and messing around with aucustic treatment. It did help some... and I gave them another week and 10 more hours. After that I put my trusted old D225 back in. ...buyers remorse for sure. A month later I decided to give the Bro3 a second chance (before putting the on the market). Somewhere between 30 and 50 hrs, things started to happen. The base came alive. The treble got smother. The mid range went from good to great. After 100 hrs I totally understand the hype. They sound amazing! The Bro3 isn't as forgiving when it comes to poor recordings as the wd225 are. Wd225 are very forgiving. Borea Bro 3 gave me, after 100 hrs of breakin, just what I was looking for. Engagement in the uppers and a fast, massive, and pulpable base. Even at lower volyms the base is felt through the floor and the sofa. The bang for the buck is great for the Wharfdale Diamond 225. But even greater for the Triangle Borea Bro 3. In build quality D225 winns. In pure enjoyment it is Bro3 all day.
Dude after listening to this music selection I had to watch Roy Clark perform Malagueña. I appreciate your opinion on these Bros tho. Thx for the content!

Paper cone and soft textile dome tweeter, best combination to me for natural, warm sound. I don t like metal drivers. That is the reason why i sold my FEF Q300 and R300. Now i am selling my Monitor Audio RS1, also with metal drivers.
I would like to know what amp do you use with KEF speakers? These are not warm at all, even with my warm sounding set up, please see JBL speakers, paper cone is not a major contributor for warm sound, mostly to do with basic design.
I had LS50 with my PMA2000VIR it was a bit too warm for me in my system but If you don’t like metal drivers, I would advise you to try Sonus Faber speakers or even Wharfdale Denton 80th speakers in average price range but if you want to go higher I would suggest Harbeth speakers etc.,

Hi, I would request you to review the Quad S-2 bookshelf speakers.. They are really good, aren't expensive and beat some of the very high end bookshelf speakers in terms of SQ!
I auditioned the Quad S-2...very nice, layered midrange. Then listed to Wharfedale 225 and there was a significant difference to me in SQ, which there should be at 3X the price.
Shame we cannot purchase these speakers in Australia. Tried every where to no avail. So want a pair but freight is prohibitive outside of Australia. Steve, Adelaide, SA
I think they are good speakers, but I agree with him, on some aspects. I spent about 4 months with them, and very nice, especially with sparse music. It may be the amp im working with(a Fisher 400), but my Epos Epic 2s are much better IMHO.
I prefer to buy Klipsch rb 81 2 discontinued bookshelf speakers with 8 " woofers, can find those for as low as $400 a pair online, those you can feel the bass!! I don't understand why today companies are obsessed on making bookshelf speakers with 6 1/2 bass drivers, too small.
Wow!! It's great to have a different point of view!! Most reviewers raved about these ones... but in the sound demo they definitely sound bright, no doubt about it. IMHO your amp could be too resolutive and high-end for this kind of speakers revealing all their faults and limitations... maybe matching them with more forgiving electronics like a tube amp they could sound more palatable (or not, I'm just wondering).
Well said! you got that 100%, these speakers really need DSP or EQ to sound great, something like PS Audio Sprout 100 which comes with bass boost EQ from factory would do, thanks
I think generally all of the amps from the lower shelf are bright so if thabamar is using high end denon amp and some speakers sounds like sounds it means that He is right..and if we connect br03 to our cheap amp it will be even worse I think..sorry
@@piotrk.7073 I've been listening Triangle BRO3:s with Rega Brio, it's not at all too bright! And I don't like bright speakers, have experience of over 10 speakers. For example, I sold Tannoy XT6F:s because they were too bright for me (I listen pretty close). It must be amp synergy thing.. Brio and Bro3:s are very good match. Pretty warm too, not cold.
Hi. I like your reviews. I don't understand your in-room measurement. Why is it only to 200Hz? Why not to 20.000Hz? To avoid room influence, just put mic cca.20 - 30 cm from loudspeaker between bass and tweeter (more to tweeter) and measure it.
To my experience, these works best with Class D amps. Maybe your amp is a problem? Also, you should try a different music styles. These worked fantastic in my setup.
Mostly good speakers sound good with any amp, my amp is Class A bias amplifier which sound is really good with any type of speakers. I wonder How many speakers have you tried before you bought BR03? In next video I will show you the measurements comparison.
Tharbamar Many, I don’t know anymore. I do not believe in measurements neither in sound demos, only in a good sinergy. All I wanna say is that for what they cost, thay can sound great, but in a proper setup. Keep up the great job, still like your videos😊👍
Resolution, refinement and bass response is better on 600 or 700 series and midrange doesn't even come close to compare it in my opinion, you just need to add a nice sealed sub, thanks
Why? I have BR02's and they are natural. BR03's are winning prizes all world around... Why do you relly on a single review, when all the others rate these speakers very high?
@@Maravalmusic I also own the BR02's, and really like them. I don't rely on a single review, as far as I'm concerned the Z review of these speakers was conclusive,, and illustrated the splashy treble on the BR03's. The BR02's are balanced while the BR0'3 are bright albeit more dynamic, simple as that.
Love your videos! Very helpful for people like me don't have the chance to audition in the store! Just one question . How do they sound compared to Dali Oberon 1 or even 3? Thank you!
Tq for the great honest review. Wish you can review a harbeth superHL5plus someday and make a back to back comparison with other similarly price range speakers. Tq very much for your efforts..👍👍👍
Try tubes on the Br03. Wondering are you sensitive to tone? Meaning the timbre and natural tone of instruments? What they say about it sounds right? This one has that where many speakers don't. It's not about warm or brightness. The vocals and instruments on this speakers sounds right. Yes for main speakers. I'll say Br02 sounds better. The Focal is detailed but not known for that natural sound. This matters if you grow up playing actual instruments or unamplified live performances. Cheers for the videos. Really important to know biases of a review. We are all biased with our sound preferences. It would be great to compare speakers in terms of how they sound between each other - speaker materials matter such as type of tweeter and cone material.
Oh man. When I'm just thinking about those Sony MDR7506 studio headphones. There's another one Sony MDR CD900ST but it seems people recommend 7506 more.
Cool video my friend! I've just purchased myself a Pair of Dali Rubicon 2s. Fantastic speaker's. Have you ever tested any DALI products?? If you haven't, you should give them a test!! Anyways, stay safe & keep on smiling through this pandemic!! 👍 Oh!...."Don't take life too seriously. Nobody gets out alive anyway." ✌
I second this. Rubicons are epic. I compared it to various speakers (Kef, wharfedale, B&W) in my channel and it is the best one alongside the Dynaudio Excites. But the Rubicons sound more magical and the Dynaudios more life-like & refined.
Question? How many hours did you run them before Testing? Anything less than 100 hours of break in might not be telling the whole story. Plus, These speakers after proper breakin mated to a really good subwoofer might bring out the best they have to offer. I would say as a stand alone speaker they might be subpar but mated to a sub they might be spectacular. It looks like they emphasized midrange and treble which will make them sound thin and unfulfilling.
@@Tharbamar I agree on the build quality but for the price... I use them with an Atoll In30 and a Taga harmony hta 700 v2. On both amps i hear completly different things from you. I wouldn't call them neutral. i found them warmer than my Elac debut 2. My assesment of these speakers are almost the same as Sean fron zero fidelity. But it may come from the gear and the room. I listen in a close range. And tonally these are the best i heard in these prices. But it's all subjective. I don't wanna bash your assesment. I like the perspective and your videos on cables.
For your reference I found LS50 a little too warm in my room, which is one of the audiophile standard bookshelf speakers, B&W 706 S2 is about perfect balanced in my room and 706 S2 sounds warmer than BR03, so you can have the idea how is the sound in my room.
@@Tharbamar In my room the LS50 is a tricky one. With Atoll it's a little bit warm, borderline neutral with very detailed highs, not bright. But with the Taga it's very warm. I didn't try the B&W 706 S2 in my room so i can't really tell. But i do remember even interconnects making a difference with the LS50. Like the focal 906. It may come from the gear then...
@@Tharbamar When i see your in room frequency response there is big problem for me because in mine the 60hz and 50hz region stay high. It starts droping in a straight line after 55Hz but i still can hear loud at 50Hz.

How do these compare to Denton 80ths? I have the Dentons, but need a little more top end frequency and wider imaging and soundstage. Are the BR03s the way to go?
I have these speakers and to me they are not bright using tube amplifiers. However they are not revealing or transparent enough. Maybe the comete ez is a better speaker in that respect. Perhaps you need to have more amplifiers to be able to find better matches.
Basic rules for good speaker is that it should sound good with any amps, some may not be best match but should sound decent, it just budget speakers but there are much better cheaper choices.
@Tharbamar The basic rule for an audio reviewer is to have a range of equipment to test with a speaker or amplifier. No one in the world cares if a speaker works well (or not) in just one setup. A review produces information that is useful to others. How a product works in your system is of limited utility. Another dude with a TH-cam account and a personal opinion is of limited value to anyone.
I wonder basic rule is set by who? Old time reviewers with Amps that most music lovers never heard of? and you think I tried with one amplifier? Most of Class A Bias amps sound good with pretty much any speakers, even with cheap $97/pair Polk speakers. FYI I have 3 systems in my house.
@@Tharbamar I suggest you watch your competitions' reviews so you can see how good audio reviews are actually done. Your review makes you an outlier. These are not bright speakers, period. They were designed to be rolled off in order to partner well with cheap components that aren't very refined. An objective review is what grown-up reviewers produce in accordance with the rules of objective journalism that can learned in a journalism university program. Journalists don't work with opinions. Their job is to produce an accurate objective reporting of facts. In the case of an audio reviewer, they produce an accurate assessment of a piece of equipment. Opinions are easy; everyone with a mouth has one. It requires at lot more work to be objective.

The BRO3's should be placed on 24" stands filled with sand. What did you use in your review? Also were yours properly broken in? These things plus the amp used might account for the great variance in our experiences with these speakers.
😲😲Wow I was expecting a totally different. Review the other reviewers are so excited about them nice to hear some comparison different opinion maybe you need to break them in and heard they work well with class D amp amplification I trust you reviews keep up the great work

Thanks. I'm kinda new to hi-fi world. I wonder, what does it mean when you say they sound "cold". Thanks, much appreciated.
Some people say that Triangle Titus EZ has beter midrange , than KEF LS50, that voices sounds warmer and more natural on Titus :) not many reviews and sound demos to this speakers on internet. These Triangle Borea on video sounds cheap, bright and unnatural on voices, and looks not so good, some other budget speakers looks nicer. Worse? FA cost almost 3 times the Triangle BR03... I don't know how they sound, but I fell that compare a basic Ford to a Mercedes (considering the price) isn't fair or logical...
RO600M have deeper sound stage and better bass response makes it more musical sound quality with almost no brightness at average loudness level playback.

Many different, some companies contact me to review their products, sometimes they have restrictions and terms, if that is too much I refused them. Some products I request them to get a sample, sometimes I got samples from my viewers.
They sound good to me. It’s obvious that these speakers have a love hate relationship with reviews on TH-cam. Cheap audio man doesn’t care for them and neither does Erin from Erin audio corner. This is a very subjective speaker.

I'm really glad that you've mentioned the Focal Aria 906 as a better, if more expensive, option to these... I think I'll avoid the Triangle. I'm still trying to decide between the LS50 and the 906... I really like the soundstage and detail from my KEF Q100 speakers but as always there's the plan to upgrade in my head 😁
you're the only one of too many reviewers who said they're lacking bass and being cold enough! although i value your opinion, it mixes me up!
@@MrWslindsay curious what your thoughts of br2 vs 3 after listening to them? Are they better...

OMG ) Did you try Wharfedale Denton?
The B&W 706 s2 are going to be hard to beat at their price range, wonderful midrange
Dynaudio Evoke 10 e Evoke 20.
@@quitegenius Nice speakers you have, I own the 706 s2 and you're right regarding price but great speakers like you pointed to tend to hold value even on the used market
@@higobatman I would probably throw the Buchardt S400 in there as well.
Thank you for your honest review. If you get a chance please review Q acoustics 3030i or any other model by Q acoustics.
Old room was 19 by 13 (6x4 metre) feet, my new room is 8 by 14 feet (2,5x4,3 metre).
i think it's a problem with his room acoustics. And maybe his amplifier.
But now i'm looking for something with more impact and better dynamics to the sound, while still remaining fairly "warm sounding"
My Q acoustics are just lacking that impact- and a little to held back/ slightly too polite for my taste and the bass is just not enough for me.

Excellent review. You have the charisma to detect bright sounding speakers or the opposite and do honest reviews.
Thank you for making my day. I am gasping for air, because I am laughing my ass off.
What has charisma got to do with detecting brightness? Makes no sense
Im curious if u could review some Monitor Audio Silver 100 in the near future or maybe the new Bronze series, im curious if u find'em bright for ur ear.
same opinion. overly bright.
Compare to Klipsch RP 600M which one is better option?
for listening day to day - these. To get people dancing - Klipsch.
These Triangle are cheap, 400€ as standard price. Wondering how they compare to the Wharfedale Evos 4.1. Thank you for your opinion, we had enough youtube hype for them.
Drivers and vinyl wrap is pretty cheap but cabinet is decent.
You must have very warm sounding set up, D225 totally reflects paring components, my Br03 was well broken in with over 200 hours on them.

Paper cone and soft textile dome tweeter, best combination to me for natural, warm sound. I don t like metal drivers. That is the reason why i sold my FEF Q300 and R300. Now i am selling my Monitor Audio RS1, also with metal drivers.

Testa as novas Elac Reference DBR 62. Devem ser muito mais musicais e naturais que as Triangle. As Triangle BRO3 possuem o som analítico, frio e muito brilhoso para o meu gosto.
Hi, I would request you to review the Quad S-2 bookshelf speakers.. They are really good, aren't expensive and beat some of the very high end bookshelf speakers in terms of SQ!
Noted!
I auditioned the Quad S-2...very nice, layered midrange. Then listed to Wharfedale 225 and there was a significant difference to me in SQ, which there should be at 3X the price.
Só as Triangle Titus EZ e Comete EZ que compensam. Essas possuem o som mais natural e musical. Tanto nos médios quanto nas altas.
Hey man, I recently audition polk legend L200, it was a great book shelf speaker, good luck to us as I am looking for new speaker as well.. 🙌
That won't work. Bass waves are far too large. They'll interact with the room.
The Triangle EZ line is so much better.
Thanks again for your great channel and reviews
How you compare this to Dali Spektor 2?
Kind regards and best wishes
Hi Thar, I have the Wharfedale Diamond 225, but I want to make and upgrade, which did you recommend in a $600USD range?, thanks.
Been waiting on this. Thank you! Now I can decide on the 707 s2 or this or the 606
Resolution, refinement and bass response is better on 600 or 700 series and midrange doesn't even come close to compare it in my opinion, you just need to add a nice sealed sub, thanks
Hi. Can you tell me about the panels you have on your walls. They look nice and they seem to be doing a good work to improve room accoustics.
In this video I’m using DIY panels, thanks
Great review - as always, and thx Tharbamar! I definitely want some Triangle speakers at some point, but on these I will pass...
Maybe one day, thank you.
Love your reviews
I appreciate that!
@Jingle Nuts It turned out I bought audio technica m40x because I could buy it from a nearby shop. Hope not too bad comparing to Sony.
I will try Rubicon in the future, thanks
I second this. Rubicons are epic. I compared it to various speakers (Kef, wharfedale, B&W) in my channel and it is the best one alongside the Dynaudio Excites. But the Rubicons sound more magical and the Dynaudios more life-like & refined.
How about Dali oberon 3 vs Triangle borea br 03?
this or the elac debut reference or the q acoustics 3030i?

Very good review thanks!!
All new speakers I run them 24/7 for two weeks in empty room with 65-85db SPL depends on time of the day.
Oh my God ! I totally disagree with everything you said about these speakers. Everything.
It's not cold, not neutral.
I wonder what amp do you use them with? So you also disagree that build quality is not as good as other brands?

@@meshplates Right, in other words use the nice words when is need to make money, although product is below average,
I do my own things, honesty is last thing you'll find in reviews industry from the people who makes money from it.
You can say what you like, I share my experience, nothing wrong with that.
If you don't like what I said I agreed to disagree with you or anyone but don't say that my findings are not accurate because everything is different in person to person.
I don't say sugar coated words to get more free stuff from companies.
That's why my opinion is always taken seriously by many but if you think this speaker sound is great, good for you but not for me and who cares? I don't because there is no such a thing is everyone could agreed on, I'll keep doing what I do, move on, enjoy the speaker that you like.

Dynaudio is very interesting.
The Dyn M10 is a fantastic little speaker for it's size. Only one weakness. Can sound a bit "sterile" thou. Didn't move me emotionally.
