    how to u position your legs ? one forward that touching the bike in order not to fall and the other one slightly backwards ? , thank you for your advices

    Another great video Dave, thank you.
    Now when you were simulating a high speed bump on the front suspension, looked like it need more rebound. Correct?
    Also, when simulating a high speed bump in the rear, you can see the front dip down then pop back up. is this normal and ok or did the front also need more compression or something?
    Thanks in advance!

      Yes, that would be correct and to do that we would have to take the forks and shock apart and change the internal valving. That's why there are so many product offerings for 20, 25 and 30mm replacement piston kits.

      Ok gotcha, understood. Thanks for your response.

    I'm going to start practicing this on my V Strom but it might be a bit too high for me to get the leverage to push the bike down the way I need to. I'm 5'7 125lbs.

      Can you stand on a solid box? I ave to do that sometimes with Adventure bikes so I can get the leverage needed.

    Great video Dave, quick question. Ideally you want to feel the suspension once it is "hot", or after driving the bike for a while? Are there any other preconditions? What about tire pressure/types and how do they affect this process?
    Thanks

      Correct, after 20-ish minutes riding the roads you normally ride at the the pace you normally ride. Proper tire pressure is always a good idea, but tire brand is not an issue. Here is a more comprehensive video on the process. davemosstuning.com/fasterclass-bounce-set-rebound/

      You need to work with hot oil based on oil age. as viscosity cold to hot varies a great deal. That allows you to set rebound damping correctly. Tire pressure testing is done on another ride and there is content on this.

    4:11 when you bounce the back. The Last 15mm it slows down. I saw this also on a hornet 600 and cbr600f (2011) with low milage. Whats the reason?

    • @catalystreactionsbw
      @catalystreactionsbw  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The oil velocity is lost via pressure diminishing.

      @@catalystreactionsbw thanks! In another Video you had this problem on an older, red touring bike. You said thst air bubbles are in the shock;)
