Good Job! you are right go slow,It takes a lot of trial and error. I have been in decluttering maintenance for over ten years . Because our life change all the time, we need to adapt to our situation. All is well 🙌😃
I always put the extra trash liners at the bottom of the trash bin. Easy to store and you always know where they are. Bin full and new bag is right there!
I have actually considered this. Maybe I'll change it to that since I KNOW there are more stupid soaps under one of the sinks I can put with the others in that bin. 💜
When we can't find motivation or feel overwhelmed small jobs with little time involved for me is something I can win at. Since I started tackling my house I wake up now not so overwhelmed but say I am making some progress & that is with relief & makes me happy it keeps me going. I love your new kitten she looks like a grey tabby! The closet looked so good be proud of yourself we go from doing nothing for years to that beautiful closet its starting to happen to me now too & I have homes for items & can find what I need.
Plus it's so difficult to want to do anything with hair and makeup in the morning when it was in disarray. Next week's live we'll be talking a lot about how these little efforts are far more impactful than huge efforts in the long run. And yes, Madeline is going to be such a floof too!
It is a never ending project. Lots of stuff to get rid of. You are right. I do a little all the time. I am a professional artist and I share my paintings on TH-cam. Cheers on a Thursday!
Welcome! I think it's easy to think we're just "done" (or we want to be done) and that's how it slides back into disarray. Mostly for me it was that and needing a better system in some areas. Have a fantastic day! 💜
Taking time and having the visual cue of the open door seemed effective. I get my best ideas while trying to fall asleep. I store them up for the next day's tasks. We do tend to accumulate random self-care items. The whole closet came out really well and looks functional. 🌻🍄
Thanks, I really hope it's organized in a way that I can maintain. I get some of my best thoughts to share in videos when I lay down - I always keep pen and paper on my nightstand!
It happens more than I care to admit. I keep a stupid amount of tuna salad packets and Dinty Moore stews at work because I'm still apparently a child who forgets lunch often.
@@ManageableLiving I really enjoy watching/listening to you because you literally mirror my thoughts! Lol I thought I was the only one!!!!😂🤣 keep up the great videos! I’m here!
A "badly"done something is better than a perfectly done nothing!!!: I love how you explain your thoughts! BTW i would put a thermometer on the nightstand - if you are feeling unwell and dont want to/can leave the bed. Habitbuilding/-stacking really helped me a lot. I am a chronic pain patients and have days which are really bad and a whole cleaning day on a good day could equal two days in bed after. So, I clean the kitchen counter while the coffe drips, clean the bathroom sink, mirror and toilet quickly while my hair conditioner soaks, and I just hank up my blanked to air out when I leave bed, straighten the pillows and that makes it look "made" up. I have several of these habits and I seldomly have to do a big clean. Practically never. But i also had to learn to say no to wanting to "complete" tasks (like cleaning floor boards in every room, bc thats really the most strenous thing in my situation, but also the least important :-) but my brain just wants to do it, and then wants to do all of them!).
Yes, I'm learning doing better than zero is better. That's is a great suggestion for the thermometer! Like, why didn't I think of that??? I completely understand habit stacking but I'm terrible with habits. To the extent that I even keep deodorant and such at work because sometimes...I just get too easily distracted. 🙃 I'm getting there...
💜Awww welcome! I try to make it fun instead of being too serious about this stuff. They are seriously the best kitties ever - I'll be sure to give them a few extra treats and pets for you!
I love the Bath & Bodyworks foam hand soap also, but it bothered me how wasteful the bottles were. However, recently they started selling refills in what looks like quart size milk containers. I was very happy, and as I prefer low scent soap, the refills come in my favorite scents. Now I can use the B&B soap all day long and not feel guilty because I will refill the bottles, instead of "recycling" them. - As far as inspiration, it so happened that today, I pulled out all of my spices and medicines (fortunately I don't need a lot of medicine). I keep those together in my kitchen. So cleaned the shelves, pitched expired or open pills, etc. When I saw you little containers I recalled that I have a similar one that would work for the medicine. So, thanks for the inspiration. I don't have a lot of spices since I threw out a bunch a while back, but now I've ordered a small set from Amazon. So the spice jars will all be the same size, and the dates will be the same. That will be a bit of a splurge for me, but it will be nice to have a fresh set.
I noticed those cartons literally on my way out of the store last time. 🤷🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️ Now I know. I get it - sometimes starting fresh is the way to go. Glad you were inspired! 💜
Good video❤ This morning I went through stuff, had to take breaks especially papers yuk. I also have old negatives I want to throw out but, I want to keep some of my daughter when little don't have many, but have to go through all argg
Wow great work! Paper is literally the worst (for me anyway). I try to keep up on it and somehow I'm always drowning in paper. I've seen some really cute ideas for negatives but it's also to cut up the ones that are blurry, duplicates etc.
not a doctor or anything but you sound like you have adhd. I'm only saying that cuz I'm working with a therapist and I'm finally going in for testing myself at 30. The decision paralysis, feeling like a failure because you didn't complete a small task, forgetfulness, having to commit a lot of focus just to keep a routine then beating yourself up when you make a mistake which causes you to stop completely. Ps you are doing great keep doing what you're doing and be proud of what you've accomplished. :)
Queso LOVED guest-starring in this video, as always. What was your FAVORITE IDEA from today?
I enjoyed how Queso repurposed the large basket at the bottom of the closet into his personal bed ❣️😻

That's fantastic inspiration to hear! I will get there 💜
Just your general approach of doing a very small bit at a time and taking it slowly is very helpful.
Plus it's building the habit and "muscle" of taking better care of my belongings. It's so much more manageable this way. 💜
Love the slow and steady method! I found you via the youtube algorithm and I'm so thankful! New subscriber!
Thank you 💜 It's far more sustainable and maintainable so far. Glad to have you!

Very cute, post it on the bottom of the coffee cup 😁
I wanted to mix it up lol.
Looks so nice!!
Thank you! 💜
