I think now that I have a home for most things its so much easier to stick to using things up & not overbuying. When crap is scattered all over it doesn't work & you spend more money. I do like a small stockpile of items I use a lot could be a covid thing or just a comfort level thing with me nothing worse then running out of something you love or need lol Good to see you again hope you are well.

Awww, thanks Rhonda - just had a family blip to manage but I should be getting back on track in the coming weeks. Thanks for being such a loyal viewer! I think it has made me consider what I'm willing to stock up on and what just feels like "too much" or unnecessary to keep grabbing.

Having items organized together in the same space really does help to stop buying items you already have. Now that i have gotten through my products. I keep backstock of one extra of each item. One toothpaste, one dish soap, one hairspray etc. Then once I pull the backstocked item out I add that same item to my shopping list. Very rarely do I buy a 2 pack, but even if it's a good deal, I will not get more than 2. Doing this project really helps you to realize how quickly you go through these products. Therefore, you can now plan to not have so much stock that you get stuck with items for years. When you get sucked into buying something new, make sure to only purchase one or even a sample size to try. If you're not happy with a current skin or hair product, try some other sample sizes. Before jumping into purchasing another item you'll not be happy about. Besides seeing that you have X amount at home already will keep you out of Sephora, Bath and Body works, or Ulta. B)

Agreed! And I sort of had *some* stuff together. Or I'd start rooting around and make a mess. Or put stuff away poorly. Or hide stuff in a closet it doesn't belong when company comes...
Sigh. I'm getting better I swear!

Great video! I did this use-it-up challenge in 2023 and now it's just a way of life for me to reduce waste and be more mindful of what I buy.

Thank you 😊 It's so eye opening how many things I picked up without checking how much I had or getting into the "it'll get used eventually" (not always true) mindset. I also have taken partials of my B&BW soaps to the salon for their restroom (I asked the owner first if she'd want them). Sometimes I like a scent until I'm suddenly over it... 🤷🏼‍♀️

Awww, yeah. It's tough to make that switch. I got tired of throwing away half- full products that expired and when I started to declutter and reorganize, I was confronted with LOADS of duplicates and partials. It took a LOT to get myself to quit buying the newest smells and whatnot...

Thank you for your video! My trouble is that i often have so many things that i forget that ive already bought something! 😅 I buy again and find now i have 2 or 3! Also i hate the idea of not having something i love if it runs out so thats a bad one for me too! Its a hard mindset for me to get into to consider there might be an alternative and actually if i run out its not the end of the world!

I know! I try to tell myself it's OK to run out of stuff but... it doesn't feel good for certain things.
