- If you want to install Windows onto a new or existing PC and only have a Chromebook, you're in luck. Today I'll be showing you an easy method for creating a bootable Windows 10 installer on Chrome OS.

What happens if you only use the chromebook utility for the installation of a windows 10? Does It turn it into a impartial format?
I'm doing your guide as well but I'm curious what would happen

@@JeffsTechOfficialI have a problem, when I am up to the my pc ventoy where it shows the iso, you pressed enter it began to open windows but when I press enter it gives me 3 options “Boot in Normal mode, Boot in Wimboot, Boot in Memdisk mode, File Checksum” that’s it and I am confused

I had alot of issues with the chromebook utility tool not writing a bootable windows 10 USB. Found this guide, followed it, fixed that shit and now im back gaming.

This works perfectly but if anyone is having troubles after installing vento, you probably need to disable secure boot in your bios settings

Says paste failed error occured when trying to put the windows file onto ventoy after installing ventoy on pc and plugging it back into the chromebook...
Same, when i put the ventoy zip into the usb, it made the usb read only which made it where you are unable to put windows iso into it

the crap floating around about using the chrome recovery tool and then just renaming the windows iso to .bin does not work. this worked like a dream. thank u so much
i managed to follow these steps to boot a laptop up to a windows but when i attempted my pc it didnt work. when i got the windows on the drive it wouldnt download to the pcs disk
As of February 2nd 2024 this method still works. Thanks for the guide I literally don’t have another computer besides a Chromebook and my new PC.

Amazing! Working, thank you so much. I had BSOD problems, someone told me to reinstall windows but I couldn't do so because I don't have any other Windows device to run Rufus. I did the full setup with Ventoy on my Chromebook. Again it worked and THANK YOU SO MUCH!

You probably wont see this since its an old video but after i install windows and everything is done when i turn of and on my pc it says I dont have a windows installation in my drive even though i do

Did the chromebook recovery utility and when I get to the boot menu on my HP to choose my flash drive, I select it and I get “selected boot image did not authenticate”

when I plug in the usb with ventoy it gets stuck on a screen that says downloading kernel and downloading initrd before rebooting.

My usb wasn't partitioned correctly so it wasn't able to download what it needed to.@@helge9970

@@Kurtions it's not exactly the same as in the video, I'm assuming it has been updated since then but if you just follow the buttons that say "install" you'll be fine...

Great walk-thru, saved the day for me
i’m having trouble getting it to boot into the console like you do. after booting up ventoy i get a splash screen of a white page saying “Ventoy” with their url in the bottom left. No way of actually downloading ventoy on the usb. Any tips?? Really need help

1- Do we need both Windows PC and a Chromebook or just a Chromebook?
2- Was Windows reinstalled on the Windows PC or installed on the Chromebook?
3- Which computer was used on the monitor? Windows PC or Chromebook?
1: Chromebook and a PC that doesn't have an operating system installed.
2: Windows was installed onto the PC without an OS
3: The monitor was the PC without an operating system that Windows was being installed onto
