- In this video Iam reviewing my 22-250 that I rebuilt recently. It's a Savage pre accutrigger that started life as a wooden stock and pencil barrel with iron sights. I bought this rifle somewhere around the year 2000 and put at least 5000 rounds through it.
Parts list;
Pre Accu-Trigger Savage
McGowen 26 inch barrel 1:7 twist
Oryx Chassis F.D.E.
Athlon Argos scope
EGW ring and base
Midwest Ind. brake
BA 110 bolt handle
MagPul AICS style mag

Beautiful mines on a howa, but savage was my first choice. I really want to build one again, but now on an impulse. Great job even better look, Ackley was before his time.
Love the fast twist 22-250
Nice build.
Thank you, shoots really good too!
Nice rig
Thanks
Should have went 1:8 twist with the 77TMK or 75ELD
Try Hornady 75 gr. V Max and Varget. Had 1/2 “ groups with IMR 4007 that was recalled due instability. Hodgdon recommended Varget. Works well in .224 Valkyrie and Berger 80.5 gr.
I'll have to try those
Did you record this with a transistor radio?
No, just a shitty camera, working on getting a better camera
😆
MDT makes a 22-250 metal AICS mag
They were out of stock at the time so I went with Magpul
The MDT 22-250 specific mags are on eBay also bit more expensive but not the 8-10 week wait
I used the MDT 6 Dasha mag 12 rounds for my 22 -250 and I can get 11 rounds in it and feeds flawlessly
5k-10k rounds through it?Big difference
Depending on the round and what type of shooting you do, 5 - 10k rounds is enough to degradation in accuracy in high pressure rifle rounds, per my understanding. I wanted to be able to shoot heavy weight bullets out of it that's the main reason behind rebuilding it
My 700 rem 220 swift shoots 5 shoots in that size group at200 yards
Talk is cheap. Prove it.
