"Marriage Is Modern Death Sentence For Men" | Pearl Davis vs James Whale

  • The traditional institution of marriage is facing a decline in modern society, with fewer than 50% of adults opting to tie the knot. This shift raises questions about the future of relationships and family life. Some argue that marriage as we know it is already dead, with the average marriage lasting only seven to eight years. The rising divorce rates and challenges faced by men in the family court system are also contributing to the changing attitudes towards marriage.
    This discussion around marriage and relationships has sparked debates about gender roles, feminism, and societal expectations. Some believe that men are facing increasing challenges in the current landscape, with issues like infidelity and lack of intimacy being brought to the forefront. Others argue that women have more freedom and choices in the dating world, leading to a shift in power dynamics within relationships.
    Pearl Davis: "Marriage is a modern death sentence for men. In the future, there will be a lot of single parents, and a lot of people without children."

    As a man that has gone through divorce, I can fully attest that the courts are FULLY behind the women. I once spent over an hour in court and was being grilled non-stop by the judge. After literally 55 mins I straight asked the judge if she was going to ask my ex wife ANY questions at all??? The judge asked TWO questions and then closed the court session. It was unbelievable. My ex had emptied ALL the money, home assets, everything. When I protested that I had NOTHING, the judge just dismissed me saying if I didn't like it I would have to formally object. The legal fees were enormous. The ex had no problem paying as she had all the money! I will NEVER get married again. It's a rigged system against men. 100%.

      On a causation level also, it's failed fathers that allow their daughters to become 304s in the first place.
      Women don't have the capacity to deal with men in their personal lives, the fathers should handle keeping her chaste and eventually getting her married.

    Was married for over thirty years, kids grown up and left home. She had an affair so I initiated divorce proceedings. Despite being told there would be a 50/50 split of assets it ended up being 75% in her favour. What I was told was that she’d given up her career to support me in mine and that’s why she ended up with a more generous settlement. Additionally, I had to pay £1600 a month in spousal maintenance so she could sit on her backside and do nothing to support herself. In most cases courts are biased in favour of the woman regardless of the cause of breakdown in the relationship.

He had to pay her half for the house, she took all the furniture, he has to pay her $1,300 every month, and he had to give her half his retirement money. They have no kids. They worked together. She then went to HR telling them he abused her and tried to get him fired and office rumors spread. Women aren't told to take the high road and be a man. They are like children and will stoop to petty low levels beyond imagination.

      I’m sorry to hear your friend went through that. However, you’re making sweeping, generalised statements about women acting as children and it is incorrect. Not all women act like this. I’ve worked all my life. Supported myself & my daughter, with no financial help from anyone else. Everyone has experiences. I’ve had very bad experiences with men - but I wouldn’t call all men monsters with mummy issues. So, I think sweeping generalised statements about either sex is not at all helpful.

    • @drwayne_carter9115
      @drwayne_carter9115 11 วันที่ผ่านมา +9

      @sarahjones2222 unfortunately what my friend went through is extremely common. Ask any divorced man how is ex wife behaved during divorce proceedings and you will get the child-like petty answer. I know it isn't 100% of women but do we really need to knick-pick over the 20% of women who don't when 80% of them are? Generalizations are some what needed. If a friend asks you what happens when you go to the casino you tell them they are going to lose because 80% of the time it's true. Do you break down the 20% odds of winning depending on the type of game or machine they play? No. You Generalize to get the point across.

    • @sarahjones2222
      @sarahjones2222 11 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I’m sorry, but I don’t believe that 80% of women behave in the way you describe & I don’t think there are statistics to back up your claim. Look at the statistics for sexual assault or domestic violence against females by their partners, It’s very high. Yet, not all females judge men as rapists/murderers. That’s my point. You’re making generalisations & now your statement is that 80% of women act like children when going through a divorce. Anyone who makes their partner suffer is a deplorable person, regardless of gender.

    Maybe the problem is society now doesn’t seem to comprehend that marriage is a serious commitment. It’s too easy to walk away and people don’t want to put the work into a relationship. We have a throw away society, where people think that their marriage/relationship is breaking down because they are unhappy and look towards the next person to make themselves happy/life will improve if they aren’t with their partner. I’ve been with my husband for 18 years and married for 11 of those years. Marriage takes strong personal commitment, integrity, communication, compromise, compassion and kindness. I choose every day to love my husband and he makes the same commitment every day to me . Instead of marrying someone for the superficial act of just something that you do, you should think is that really something I’m really committed to and is my partner of the same mind? If not then don’t get married

    Married for 58 yrs now, my husband's health is failing. I look after him - we've always been a "team". If we've had a bad day and he's driven me mad, before I go to sleep at night, I get out an after-shave stick from my bedside drawer. This fragrance instantly "transports" me back in time to our twenties when we were madly in love. He was tall dark and handsome and had a voice like Gregory Peck. I have always felt safe in the world with him. I was a blonde 5ft 2" (5ft 6" with my high-heels on). We made quite a glamorous couple then and loved being together. He always wore that particular after-shave (still made today) and that fragrance reminds me of how happy I was to marry him back then. I got the man of my dreams - and mustn't forget that, despite the onset of old age.

    I skipped marriage, I retired a multimillionaire at age 40. All my friends are either divorced or in the process of divorce, and basically broke. They all spent their time and money renovating houses for their wives and vacations, then when divorce happened she took it all. I spent my time sleeping with random women when I wanted to, and the rest of my time was building a real estate portfolio and a business. I still enjoyed great sex, lots of fun memories, but I also built something that is making my life better today. All that time you spent with your ex-wife is a total 100% waste, you'll curse those memories and hate them after a nasty divorce. All that time you could have been building a business, making money, etc. When you consider the real cost in terms of your time and how much $ she stole in the divorce, a failed marriage costs MILLIONS for the average guy.

    • @knightofkorbin888
      @knightofkorbin888 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I sincerely doubt you are exempt of selfishness. There are many beautiful families which shun outsiders and seclude themselves. Refusing to associate with anyone alien of their group. Who could not feasibly know what makes your family wonderful. Other than humble bragging or condescending remarks (your comment) these families rarely share their families. Which isn't a legal obligation but I would consider this a gravely overlooked responsibility of both compassion and mercy.
      Keeping rare, precious knowledge and discoveries contained with each other regardless of if that knowledge will die within the family is rather selfish. Expecting everyone else to catch up or suffer on the belief your family is "just" common sense, natural, normal, and ordinary even as your family is visually becoming less common, abnormal, and extraordinary for people without your kind of families is rather selfish.
      I believe the greater danger than the selfishness you refer to is your family becoming an unrelatable and unfamiliar thing which is either unknown or envied from afar. Briefly encountered. Such a family a person without one would remember forever. Amazed by a gift which could last for a day or a few months that they could not imagine experiencing prior to meeting a truly beautiful family. Which is unrealistic, foreign, and fantastical for them.
      Enjoying the subsisting life of your family and community in terms of relationships, insulated from anyone without a family or those relationships is selfish. Keeping a beautiful family an esoteric mystery is why your family is gradually fading from the cultural consciousness and memory. Into a concept hardly understood, unimaginable, seemingly unattainable, and beyond their awareness to behold. An enlightening sight that fewer will ever see.
      The responsibility of you I would argue is to take your beautiful family environment and extend that beauty beyond yourselves to beautify the environments of beauty lacking families. This is evidently a family tradition that is missing. Being an example, instead of haughtily neglecting to encourage and inspire the formation of your kind of families, will stop beautiful families from soon deteriorating into obscure and forgotten ideas. Unless some families start sharing their traditions outside of their comfortable social circles, presenting their family as a standard example, and teaching the knowledge known among them to the collective consciousness. Unless these families want to share their family beyond passing that information forwards limited to sharing with the next generation. The rest of us will know less of the existence a beautiful family; and the less beautiful families will exist after yours is gone.
      TLDR: Stop bragging and start sharing your aspirational family as a beautiful family is a needed influence nowadays. For to who much is given; much is required.

In the pursuits of happiness with todays women in a marriage is like alining yourself with a ticking emotional time bomb.The eventual fall out will most definitely effect your health and wealth and leave you dead in the water or take years to recover.The courts system being so lopsided uses the women to extract enormous amounts of money from men to fill the attorneys pockets and judges courts they are the true winners in a divorce process.
