The Super Kart has a Honda CBR1000RR Fireblade engine what produce 230HP what will go from 0-100 in 2.4 seconds with a topspeed over the 300 KM/H!!

@@ooosoo8727 it balances out the cars a bit more and leaves it to more high end acceleration than just off the line acceleration. If there was no roll the cart has an advantage by far.

Back in 1987 myself and a couple friends took a wrecked Yamaha Seka 750/ shaft drive and made a "go-cart" using motor, transmission, electronics and some golf cart components. One of those friends had a highpo mechanics shop in Little River SC. Chrome molly tubing frame and we were in the process of fabricating a fiberglass body which untimately our goal was for it to resemble the look of the "Malibu Grand Prix" cars used in the franchise of the same name. I can tell you as a speed freak and motorcycle drag racer, it scared the crap out ouf me lol. Never clocked so i do not know how fast it actually was. All i know is, through proper modification at 60mph indicated it was the same as a trailing car escort on US 17 between Little River and Cherry Grove SC. The speedo read to 160 when it was on the bike frame and it would bury the needle. At 2 inches off the ground 60 or 70 mph would scare you. My bike could do 180mph in the quarter mile. This little demon was at least just as fast. And that 2 inches? Speed was an addiction for me. That little bastard cured my illness🤣

I had a friend 50 years ago that had a cart powered by dual west bend engines that was very fast. He would go out trolling for cop cars and just run off and leave them.

I raced a KT100 for a few years. These super karts are insanely quick. I'll never forget on a practice run being passed by John Hamilton halfway down the Ruapuna Straight, I was doing about 140kph and he was doing about 210kph. Still good fun in the KT though doing 160kph with your bum an inch off the ground!

The power to weight ratio on that go kart must be phenomenal!
Almost uncontrol able power. It takes a professional driver who is very familiar with the vehicle to not crash it.

His diet must be very specific
It's ridiculous that anyone would even be surprised to find a cart beating the cars. You've got 230 HP in probably less than 300lbs, while the Porsche is just under 3000lbs, and the Audi S4 is even worse at around 3600lbs. Meaning, in terms of power to weight ratio, the Cart is probably about 0.76, the Porsche is 0.43, and the Audio 0.3.

+Sean C I don't think the 9ff is losing. The cart does 0 - 100 in 2,4 secs. which is DAMN fast, but the 9ff does it in 2,3 secs. This 9ff is the top of the line and one of the fastest accelerating road legal cars on this planet...

Usually there’s a monitor recording speed and time over a set distance. It tells how fast in speed and time it took each vehicle to go from A to B.
The most amazing thing to me is that the kart is hitting the rev limiter constantly. It blows through the RPM range that fast. This thing is capable of more than we're seeing. I'd love to have one of those. Wonder what the cost would be for a kart like that. Gotta be cheaper than the porche right?

I have the frame and they run you about $1500 for that. Going to buy a bike from crashed toys for about $1000 for a dropped 1000cc bike and put the motor on it. I estimate about $2000 for additional parts so around 5k can do it if you know how to be creative .
The gear box is set up for fast take off. Once above third he has some pretty good ratio
Actually. NO. You can buy a used Porsche for a great price and you would be surprised. The unpopular model has features the popular has. All can be modified. To have anything like that cart custom made and maintained? Your costs are a lot higher.

Back in 1962, I drove a cart (we actually used the letter "c" back then) with 2-Mac 9's on it. 190' back straightaway. Easily hit 85-90 mph with those little hornets pushing that machine. Amazing what they've done in 60 years with them. Love k(c)art racing. It's the best, but only if you're on the track.
all i saw was a go cart going down the track and a Porsche goofing off and then stopping.....after a minute and a half ...was no use watching anything else.....useless video

WOW! 7 Years ago. Nice to see the Black Audi RS4 Sedan (It's not a S4) of Phillipp Kaes again. I saw his number plates (H RS 88). This "old" RS4 had 1200+ hp at the last evo step. 4 years ago this legendary audi was destroyed by flames. Phil is building the new version (Version 2.0) completly out of carbon parts with the known 3.0 liter V6 (stock 2.9) from the RS4, two new chargers and the air intake of an Nissan GTR. It's almost done and the car will perform the upcoming events this year 2023. Waiting for it with (1500 hp ?) and good luck.

Assuming 150 mph and 8" tire diameter on the cart, thats approximately 6,300 rpm... the rotation of a typical car tire at that speed is a bit over 2,000 rpm... it's amazing that that small piece of rubber can handle that amount of centrifugal force.

I would like to expand on your post by explaining a little bit about the pistons that move up and down, it then rotates a large crank that's attached to the drive shaft via a gear. As the gear rotates, it spins the drive shaft, which in turn spins the go-kart's axle. The spinning of the drive shaft transfers torque from the motor's piston to the axle and ultimately to the go-kart's wheels.

A "few" years ago (about 60), I was on a Go Kart team. Our Captain had two McCulloch chain saw engines... one connected and synced to each back wheel. We never lost a race. Minute the start light came on- he jumped out front, the rest of us spread across the track and blocked the opponents and the end was said and done. IT WAS FUN!!

Looks like fun, i love racing. I'll take on a challenge at anytime driving my domestic cars. I bought this 2002 Honda Odyssey 6cyl , and to my surprise it has some balls , the engine sounds like a real engine when you're stomping on the gas pedal.
