Omg do not give up on Fruits Basket! It’s truly an amazing manga, much deeper than what it looks like. Give it time to introduce you to characters and then pay attention to details. You’ll find a whole other world and a story that’s darker than what the manga looks like at the beginning and at the very first reading 😉

I go through at least 200 books a year (crazy I know) so I highly recommend your friendly library cause it's an expensive hobby 😂. You don't need to go to the library, just use Libby to preview and check out ebooks and audiobooks. I can use different library and Libby accounts so I rarely need to wait for books on hold.
This is my life. I love love love Libby. I live in the U.S. in a town with a relatively small digital collection so I pay $50/yr for a Brooklyn Public Library ecard and with the way I read (100-150/yr) it has more than paid for itself! I tell everyone I know to get it.
Sooooo excited for this manga era! I’ve been waiting for manga to come full swing into the booktube space and I feel like it’s finally happening!! ✨🤣 There’s a TON of mangatubers and people who post manga on IG so my list is constantly growing. I recommend looking into digital manga too, such as with Kodansha. There are so many great ones not in print yet!

Out of genuine curiosity, may I ask what you think of using the library? (no shade, my personal library is gigantic, I just see a lot of people use the library for manga since they are long series and quick reads.)
I wish i could use my library for manga but they never have a single completed series they’ll be missing like 5-20 volumes in any given series scattered throughout the entire series 😏

The End of Men is fantastic ! It was recommended to me on Twitter in May 2021 when I was laid off due to pandemic ! I loved the title and premise and was not disappointed! So fast paced and disturbing I read it in 2 days ! Only time I put ebook down was in bathtub and sleeping

Fruits Basket - Make sure you watch the new anime ! There is an older version of it as well, but the new one is so much better, and is absolutely gorgeous. It also destroyed me. 10/10 anime. Attack on Titan - PREPARE FOR A WILD RIDE. Considered one of the best anime of all time. Jujutsu Kaisen - Has 1 season out of the anime + a movie. Animation is top tier, and all the characters are really fun. OMG, I didn't know those editions of Death Note existed ! Perfection.
REVELATOR. That was one of my favourite books of last year!! Pro Tip: Go on TH-cam and put some "dark cello" on in the background while you read. The vibes were immaculate 🤩

It was self-published first, and then got picked up by a traditional publisher who is bringing it out on paperback in November. But I think they made the ebook and maybe the audio available already.
The Promised Neverland is one of my favourite manga series! I'm currently reading Ajin Demi-Human which is a horror manga. It's amazing! Would definitely recommend.

And I also want to read The Decagon House Murders, Danganronpa, Grim Reaper and Four Girlfriends, Spy x Family, Assassination Classroom, and Hunter x Hunter. And on top of all that, I have the first half of the Higurashi When They Cry series in my cart as we speak. So, yeah, you are not the only one with issues. 😅😂
Buying only completed mangas is a wise thing to do. I've been following the same series for nearly 25 years and it's taking forever to wrap up but I'm too invested to stop. That series is GUNNM by Yukito Kishiro, it's now in its third cycle. It's good but I want to know how it ends!
