Its also not as engaging to a wider audience. There are plenty of booktubers that read niche or unheard of books, and its okay if Katie is a pop-culture booktuber. Also, reading popular books,reading unheard of and/or unpopular books are all valid. Its okay if she’s not interested in them and its okay that you are. Find a booktuber who appeals more to that interest for you. She doesn’t have to mold her interests to fit yours.

She’s being honest about how she feels about the books. If its something she doesn’t like, why should she keep it. She explained why she didn’t like them. If you didn’t like it or were offended, don’t send her books again and don’t watch her. Its that simple. She is constantly joking about how dramatic she is and she talks about her adhd which can lead to a lack of filter and emotional regulation. As someone with the same diagnosis, when i have an emotion about something its usually the most extreme version of that emotion regardless of if what happened warrants that extreme response. Its not personal, she just wasn’t interested in some of the books sent but wanted to still include them in the content.

Yesterday we brought 3 bags to the new thrift store in town (& with the seasons changing I am ruthlessly going through all our clothes - I have a hubby & 4 children). And I discovered a new, small bookstore in town (I live in a small town!) so 2 weeks ago I brought a bag of books there (As well as a bag to the thrift store). I just have an ongoing pile of things to unhaul and it feels so good to get it out of my house. Lately, I have been feeling so overwhelmed by the amount of stuff in my house, so watching videos like this helps to keep me motivated to keep clearing out my house.
Decluttering and organizing gives me a sense of control in my life. When I can't do it in real life (I live with my parents so it's not mine to declutter) I watch videos to live vicariously through

Tell me everything is actually really good if you are interested in true crime. Its about a private investigator who works for an attorney trying to sue a university under title IX, because the school did not provide a sufficiently safe environment for women. So definitely a trigger warning about sexual abuse, also because the narrator writes about her childhood experiences. But all in all very interesting what she uncovers, what it takes to be a private investigator and how people cope with the situation and react to her. Also its talking a lot about how problematic behaviour from guys that are good at sports gets excused, which I understand is a big thing in the US. But I also have not heard any booktuber talk about it…
I also tried to read the Fruits Basket Manga and I couldn‘t because of the art style. Too outdated for me. Started watching the NEW version of the Anime and I love the art style in that one.
There is actually an old movie that came way before the show of The Haunting of Hill House. It goes by the same name I believe, but it is so much like the book. I also love the show.

Kingdom of Copper was my least favorite of the trilogy but Empire of Gold was an amazing ending. KoC was just such a middle book it was so long and not much was going on but I forgave her because EoG was such a strong finish.

Kingdom of Copper was my least favorite of the trilogy but Empire of Gold was an amazing ending. KoC was just such a middle book it was so long and not much was going on but I forgave her because EoG was such a strong finish.
