Times Auto, in association with Hyundai Motor India, present this unique series that talks about various martial art forms of India. We start with Gatka, an indigenous martial arts form started by Sikh warrior saints centuries ago. Today it is practiced by many as a sport, art of self defence and also training the mind and soul along with the body. Girish Karkera, Consulting Editor, Times Auto meets 75-year-old Gurpreet Singh Khalsa, a veteran Gatka "warrior/artist" who tells us about what drives him to train youngsters and adults alike at his quaint Shaheed Baba Deep Singh Academy, in Chandigarh.

Title should be Martial art of Sikh . Because india is big so is it Gujrat martial art , Assam Martial art . Many religions and culture made india . So title is not perfect

This isn't called Gatka.... Gatka is Turki word....this Sikh Martial art is known as SANATAN SHASTER VIDYA. which is born from KALARI PAYATTU. which is eventually mother of all Martial arts
