    My Mum had Botox for migraines arranged through her doctor - she has hooded eyes and with the Botox her eyelids dropped so much she couldn’t see properly until the Botox wore off. She was told it had been done wrong and trusted another Botox professional to try again but the same thing happened again. So I’m scared to have it done as I have hooded eyes too.

    One of the most satisfying places that I’ve had Botox/Dysport done in was the areas/muscles that pull your lips down... that made such a remarkable difference- however, often times you have to go back to have it tweaked because everyone’s smile is different and mine is a little crooked anyway, so, it was necessary to go back to even out both sides of my mouth.

    Hi Dr Youn, I watched most of your video here about Botox, I must say it is so refreshing to hear that there are some Doctors out there that are taking it seriously when people (myself included) are trying to warn online of the SERIOUS dangers of this treatment. I do not believe in my case that it is a ‘reaction’ as such, as I had Botox many times and had no reaction with great results, I feel that it makes more sense that on occasion it travels from the injection site and even the minutest amount causes serious neurological problems. I have met many people online like myself and believe it to be a very serious problem that is being ignored and ruining lives. Honestly I loved my aesthetic results but there is no human alive that would endure these neurological effects just for a couple of wrinkles, and for anyone wondering I did go to a very reputable expensive clinic & was 100% healthy. I believe it is Russian roulette injecting that dangerous toxin so close to the brain but barely anyone cares to listen, think about it, full brain function verses a couple of wrinkles, I know which one I’d choose. Nice to know someone is listening :)

    I wish I could show a pic of my now completely lopsided face- one eyebrow goes way up with a bulging eye, and the other is almost half closed with zero brow movement. This is my second time and I was so happy with the first one. Restrictions just lifted here and now I'm stuck at home again for 3 months. There is no way on earth I will go back for 'adjustments'. It was just supposed to be for one single line between the brows. Currently growing my bangs and have an eyepatch for when I must go out. And yes, this was $450 from a 'real' doctor at a dermatology clinic.

      "what researchers know so far is that over time, Botox will lead to decreased muscle mass in your face, which can cause not just loss of volume. But also sagging skin. And yes, that will make you look older. Another concern is that prolonged use of Botox may cause thinning of your skin. Which also will have a negative impact on your skin’s appearance and youthfulness...." www.ayoungerskin.com/botox/

I would suggestbto anyone to join the Botox/Dysport support group on face book. The stories on there will be enough to change your mind. Im very healthy and at 46 decided to do Dysport to my 11s.That was 7 months ago and my whole body has been effected ever since, i pray that in time my whole body weakness, fatigue , constant bloated stomach , head pressure , face pressure , heavy chest and anxiety all dissappear 😧Never ever had any of these symtoms in all my life - all this for 40 units of Dysport.

Never did i think i would get any side effects as millions of people do this every year but i think alot more people will come out about it in future. I remember reading one mans storry on botox support community.He had botox to treat spaasms on his arm so he could continue playing drums in his band. Soon after he devoloped pretty bad anxiety, he is to scared to hop in his car now and drive.He said that is so not him, he has never been scared of anything in his life.It broke my heart when he mentioned that he did not know how he would live like that if it didnt go away.Its ok for the doctor that convinced him to do it, he got his money, now this poor man is suffering from anxiety, will his doctor be there to help him through this now? I just turned 30. Had the worst Mr. Bean forehead lines. I'm talking a wave pool on my forehead. I got 18 units in the forehead, and 3 per crows (For prevention). Couldn't be happier. Wish I had done it sooner. What's the point of being on tretinoin and using all the right actives? They can't undo those kind of lines. If you start younger-ish, it's preventative. You're not constantly making your skin fold in on itself. I've had haircuts that were more painful.

    I want to share my first xeomin experience. Hoping this might help others. Firstly, I have some allergies that cause atopic dermatitis mainly preservatives formaldehyde and common derivatives such as MDMD and EDTA, Quaternium 15 etc let me tell you it’s in everything which is why i made sure with my injector the xeomin didn’t have anything I was allergic to in it after multiple consultations it’s very pure and doesn’t have a lot of additives which is better for people with allergies. I did the Injections all went well with literally no swelling, marking or reactions on my face, no other symptoms or side effects maybe slight head ache but now…. I have a rash only on my inner forearms, chest, abdomen, front legs… my injector who had been doing it for 15 years and is a nurse practitioner said Botox allergy you would see it at the injection site most commonly and this type of reaction is not usually reported. I took to the internet snd I actually can’t find anything on this, once again I have NO allergy where it was injected but have this rash now.
    Dr,
    have you had other clients that this has happened to? Do you regularly do patch tests on clients with a history of dermatitis to make sure they are not allergic? Just wondering if this is something done normally.
    My injector should report this are licensed practitioners obligated to report adverse reactions?
    Does this mean I can never do this again? Are my Botox days over before they even began… gahhhhhh

      The first time I saw her pictures when she's already famous, without seeing her pre-debut photos, I could just tell that this girl had had a nose job, 100%, by how it was shaped, especially the tip of the nose being thicker and shorter than the actual tip of her nose. I grew up in an Asian country where lots of people have their noses done, so I can pretty much tell right away by how it looks. But nowadays there are new technologies and methods to make them look more natural and that makes it a bit harder to detect. Regardless, she is very cute and pretty.

    Hi Dr. Youn I so wish you lived in Atlanta! 🤗. I have been switching between Botox and Jeuveau hoping to find the right amount of units to be injected to achieve a brow lift without undergoing a brow lift surgery. I feel Dr's I go to in my home town do not put enough (I think they may be too conservative) But I don't know what enough is. What are too many units to do the glabella and crow's feet to achieve the brow lift? BTW I do not have a natural arch in my brow and my age is 61. Thank you and I love your videos. I've learned so much!

    Love Botox but believe the industry needs to bring the cost down on it and fillers, there are those of us who NEED an actual facelift but cannot afford it, Ever...I personally have had my face drop from Mohs surgery’s and Botox works beautifully to an extent, but to an extent that makes me feel like I’m not a freak, but still can’t afford the $650 per when I need 3 or 4 at once..sad. But yes I do love it, I would give up food for it if it was just up to me.

I started jawline botox at 25 and now I'm 27, I've been going back every 4ish months to top up and I've had great results. I am pretty weary of the long terms effects though and I wish we had more research on it :(

    Dr. Youn, please discuss Botox for people with auto-immune diseases. Does Botox stimulate unwanted nervous system and immune system effects???

    • @yoursugarismine
      @yoursugarismine ปีที่แล้ว

      That’s an intelligent question! Shame that nobody talks about the real issues and the real info that ppl need to know. Everyone is so shallow. I’m not a doctor but I would assume that any toxin has an effect on the immune system, by logic and common sense. However, I also believe that manufacturers and some doctors would downplay side effects because the procedure is so widespread and easily accessible that you would struggle to find exact info about it. And if you find studies on the subject you would have to look into who funded the study, reviewed it and publish it. Biases and money. I hope you do find the info you need and I wish ppl didn’t take these things so lightly. Everyone is so hyped about improving wrinkles and nobody thinks about the complications

      Laura may I had Dysport done about 4 different times, and then the next time I had it done several weeks later I had severe muscle weakness and pain. Finally went to my doctor tested for many things along w/ RA. All came back fine. I then started doing research and I know it was from the Dysport. I had awful right shoulder pain as well. I’m better now, but took months to recover, never again!

After the first month even brushing my teeth caused muscle soreness.Funny how being injected into frown lines can affect the rest of your body. Maria W I find that I’m not alone in a comforting kind of way, even though like yourself and others I wouldn’t ever want them to go through what we have! My symptoms didn’t start until after me having Dysport injections for a few years. One morning I woke up and this was probably 3 months after having my last Dysport, and I felt like the “Tin man” from The Wizard of Oz. I could hardly get my fingers and hands to open up they were sooooo stiff and sore. I had such muscle weakness it was an effort for me to do many things like we do every day such as just to get dressed! My fingers and hands felt so sore and I had burning in them too! I finally went to my general doc, and he did many tests which all came back fine. He told me he thought I must’ve had an infection that went to my joints. Along w/ all this I also had such panicky feelings, like I couldn’t feel relaxed and I also had hear palps. I wasn’t thinking it was from the Dysport yet, so I then went back for my injections with Dysport and a week later I was so stiff again only this time it was in my back, and right shoulder that hurt soooo bad I couldn’t hardly use it for 2 weeks! Then I started doing lots of research, and that’s when I realized it was from doing Dysport! It took about 6 months to gain all my strength back so scary! Never again!!!!

      @Lil Smiley it’s not shit. It’s her experience. Would you like if I said that your disease is shit lil smiley? She was answering to someone else so she wasn’t spamming or copying and pasting the same comment, was she? And tbh, everyone interested in Botox should hear about her experience and others, because the injectors downplay side effects or don’t even know themselves about all the side effects of it. So I don’t know why you have to answer this way about someone that shared her story about being sick and nearly dying from these procedures. You’re either very rude or tbh not very intelligent sorry. Only awful ppl say nasty things in the face of ppl’s illnesses, sickness, disabilities etc.

    Hi Dr. I have a question, can I get botox while on antibiotics (Macrobid) the esthetician told me is not recommended but, I want to make sure if is true. 😃😊🤔

    • @yoursugarismine
      @yoursugarismine ปีที่แล้ว

      I expect you have resolved your issue by now but I just wanted to add my two cents….why would getting Botox be so urgent that you couldn’t wait to finish taking the antibiotic? Unless you were on long term antibiotics in which case it’s different. Do you know that antibiotics wipe out all bacterias, good and bad, and by eliminating the good ones they weaken the immune system for a period until the system is restored? Therefore I would imagine that it’s not recommended to have Botox which is a toxin, and any poison in the body causes the immune system to work, during antibiotics and cautiously wait for few months afterwards until everything in your system is in balance again. Antibiotics are normally taken for 5/6 days depending on type. Did you know that when infection doesn’t clear up in those days and doctors prescribe a second week of antibiotics, that can bring up depression to ppl. All because of the good bacteria being killed. However, I did write this because I think ppl buy into these treatments too lightly without thinking about what it can happen. And a lot of ppl don’t use common sense. And in your case, I may be wrong, you were impatient to have the treatment that you would have preferred to not reschedule it until you were off the antibiotics. And it’s a known fact that the younger generations of today have short attention span and are impatient, they want everything now, instant self gratification (thanks primarily to social media, TikTok, etc..not me saying it) and so if that’s the case with you too, this is something worth thinking about. If I’m wrong I apologise I don’t mean to be on your case, it was just an observation after reading your comment
