I carried the MP600 in satin every day for the 1.5 yrs I was stationed in South Korea. I brought it home and lost it moving houses. It was a great tool for the field.

It supposed to be a one-hand open function multitool, I've seen people opening it by swiping it downward like how you deploy a police baton.
I just bought this today for work to replace my leatherman curl I broke and I thought I'd give this a shot ,but now I know why I'm a leatherman snob because this honestly feels cheap. I count on my leatherman wave plus but that's my out of work edc. But I I will give it a shot .

You said Gerber does something leatherman doesn't with the plyers that slide in and out Leatherman has the oht that does that.
Do some Gerber 600 come with scissors?

Only the packaging is made in the USA and it'll defeat any armed forces using it because by the time they open the package (watch this video for almost 4 minutes) we'll have taken them all out. Use a Gerber if it's a gift until it breaks.
Funniest and irrelevant review. I was tempted to give him our kitchen scissors to hepl him out open the package.
I have a made in America Gerber Center Drive. Poor quality control. Inferior metal. Well behind my 23 year old Swisstool. The US exports all over the world. My country Israel exports all over. It is good not to tolerate the rapacious capitalist Chinese warlords. But supporting friendly states like Taiwan or Japan or the UK or wherever else is good. Gerber multitools are hit and miss. Good ideas and sometimes poor execution. The IDF armored brigades prefer Leatherman Wave or especially the Surge. No Gerbers survive the tank crews for long!
