@@MichaelBeveraggi In case if you trully invested to BLACKPINK as a whole thing then as their fan then just lemme introduce you to their universe alongside with several playlist that could be useful for you 😎🙏

content: Cinematography vlogs and her own special dance performances
(Note: If you don't mind to make a reaction to a long duration video, then the 2nd suggestion is defnitely gonna be one of favorite "reaction" video to watch from BLACKPINK's fans perspective especially before you decide to move onto the rest of their discography)
      1. An official Documentary on NETFLIX called : BLACKPINK Light Up The Sky
A first full-lenght official documentary of BLACKPINK which currently released by NETFLIX to formally introducing and showcasing their existence to more of international audiences. But later on in those documentary, so technically you WON'T really see the deeper story of BLACKPINK nor the objectivity discussion about their record label which is YG Entertainment...
MAJOR DISCLAIMER: These particular documentary DIDN'T really included the whole story about Kpop or BLACKPINK in details but still can be use for a starter recognition to each of BLACKPINK's members
(Note: maybe you won't be able to post any pieces from the documentary especially to youtube because NETFLIX always very strict about anything that comes out from their licensed content but still from fan's perspective we would like to hear your genuine raw-review after watching those documentary by your own in off-time camera)
      2. (th-cam.com/video/xDytxsf66nQ/w-d-xo.html)
(BLACKPINK guide 2019 version by "Lalisa Enthusiast")
It's a fan-made guide video which is to show you about some entertaining clips about each of their name, their personalities on/off stage, a general info about them and some funny cut-clips from their reality show...
Note: While watching this funny guide you can be casually chillin and DOESN'T have to be seriously take the whole inside jokes on that video in a serious matter 😀
      3. (th-cam.com/video/LWgnOAMwSRk/w-d-xo.html)
(The Revolution: A Story of BLACKPINK by "Asian Theory")
This one is more like a journalist-made type of story telling video which focusing on BLACKPINK's concept as a Kpop group. The video itself was posted when their latest album called "THE ALBUM" still actively being promoted (through the entire video you'll notice that 6 of the 8 tracks still haven't released yet at the moment)
Note: And this video NOT necessarily including all of BLACKPINK's newest achievements nor to their recent updated news
      4. (th-cam.com/video/y8lal1cBHmM/w-d-xo.html)
(BLACKPINK: Journey and Friendship by "blink4beulping"
This one also made by a fan and through the entire video you'll get to see their unbreakable bond as a group and how lovely they're with their own fandom in on/off stage

@@MichaelBeveraggi As for their songs, i'll leave it the list here so you could make it as an easiest way which could be use for your personal preferences exclusively to BLACKPINK's reaction
Note: Because primarily most of BLACKPINK's songs crafted in both Korean mixed up with a bit of choppy english lyricism then for a better understanding you can turn on the english close caption in all of their official music video from BLACKPINK's main channel and though it didn't completely accurate but still can be use as an easier way to know what they were saying through the entire song
      SONG'S PLAYLIST
Feel free to copy paste the whole notes to your PC or your mobile app, so you can easily read it slowly in your own free time (off-time camera). These list below was specificly arranged by the chronological order of the release date to each song (start from 2016 ->>> until the current release):
      1. 1st mini album: SQUARE ONE 2016 (BOOMBAYAH, WHISTLE) this two was their first debut songs after they showcased to the world.
      - BOOMBAYAH (th-cam.com/video/bwmSjveL3Lc/w-d-xo.html)
      - WHISTLE (th-cam.com/video/dISNgvVpWlo/w-d-xo.html)
      2. 2nd mini album: SQUARE TWO 2016 (PLAYING WITH FIRE, STAY)
      - PLAYING WITH FIRE (th-cam.com/video/9pdj4iJD08s/w-d-xo.html)
      - STAY (th-cam.com/video/FzVR_fymZw4/w-d-xo.html)
      3. A Non-Album or i could say it just a single in 2017 (AS IF IT'S YOUR LAST)
      - AS IF IT'S YOUR LAST (th-cam.com/video/Amq-qlqbjYA/w-d-xo.html)
      4. A remix song in 2017 by THE BLACK LABEL called "SO HOT" (YGE as BLACKPINK's main HQ has a sub-unit company named TBL/THE BLACK LABEL). For this particular song i'm not that sure if this counted as BLACKPINK's song or not at all because it's originally sang by other girlgroup named "Wonder Girls". But for me personally these version was better and it's more preferable for a lot of people actually.
      - SO HOT official remix track (th-cam.com/video/eRDe7bOp5uA/w-d-xo.html)
      - SO HOT lyrics: (th-cam.com/video/gxCiq1Bb9PU/w-d-xo.html)
      5. 3rd mini album: SQUARE UP 2018 (DDU-DU-DDU-DU, FOREVER YOUNG, REALLY & SEE YOU LATER) from this 4 songs only "Ddu-Du-Ddu-Du" alone which has an Official MV/Music Video, the rest of 3 songs you could react to them by using "color coded lyrics".

      - KISS AND MAKE UP official audio (th-cam.com/video/AX3Bsiq-13k/w-d-xo.html)
      - KISS AND MAKE UP lyrics (th-cam.com/video/tVU_mT9QMwE/w-d-xo.html)
      7. JENNIE - SOLO in 2018 (it's the first solo debut by one of BLACKPINK's members, yeah the song's title also literally called 'SOLO', so you dont have to be confused about that one simplistic song's tittle...😂
      - JENNIE - SOLO (th-cam.com/video/b73BI9eUkjM/w-d-xo.html)
      8. 4th mini album: KILL THIS LOVE ALBUM 2019 (KILL THIS LOVE, DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO, KICK IT, HOPE NOT) from all of those tracks only "Kill This Love" which has an Official MV/Music Video and for rest of the b-sides tracks you just need the same way as i've been mentioned beforehand which is using color coded lyrics.
      - KILL THIS LOVE (th-cam.com/video/2S24-y0Ij3Y/w-d-xo.html)
Color Coded Lyrics version from 2 youtube chanels, (Dont Know What To Do/Kick it from 'Jaeguchi') and (Hope Not from '
      Jendukie') :
      - DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO (th-cam.com/video/ccI9xvR2Ja0/w-d-xo.html)
      - KICK IT (th-cam.com/video/sYUlykDe4as/w-d-xo.html)
      - HOPE NOT (th-cam.com/video/UM5-NkipsnE/w-d-xo.html)
      9. A collaboration in 2020 with Lady Gaga in one of her Album called "Chromatica" (SOUR CANDY)
      - SOUR CANDY Offcial Audio (th-cam.com/video/fnPn6At3v28/w-d-xo.html)
      - SOUR CANDY Lyrics (th-cam.com/video/F6hP24HOqfQ/w-d-xo.html)
      10. THE ALBUM, this is pretty much was BLACKPINK first full-lenght album in 2020 after back then 4 years ago they've been showcased as one of the new 3rd-gen Kpop girlgroup. This album incorporate 8 tracks in total which have 3 songs with an Official MV/Music Video (HOW YOU LIKE THAT, ICE CREAM ft. Selena Gomez, LOVESICK GIRLS) and 5 songs with no music video (PRETTY SAVAGE, BET YOU WANNA ft. Cardi B., CRAZY OVER YOU, LOVE TO HATE ME, YOU NEVER KNOW), for the rest of b-sides which didn't have an official MV like what i've said in earlier you could also use the color coded lyrics, here's the links:
      - HOW YOU LIKE THAT (th-cam.com/video/ioNng23DkIM/w-d-xo.html)
      - ICE CREAM with Selena Gomez (th-cam.com/video/vRXZj0DzXIA/w-d-xo.html)
      - LOVESICK GIRLS (th-cam.com/video/dyRsYk0LyA8/w-d-xo.html)
Color Coded Lyrics version from a youtube chanel named 'Lemoring'
      - PRETTY SAVAGE (th-cam.com/video/Tw5MOgGQceA/w-d-xo.html)
      - BET YOU WANNA ft. Cardi B. (th-cam.com/video/icXHq5sEfCg/w-d-xo.html)
      - CRAZY OVER YOU (th-cam.com/video/4VOMHN6M4Dw/w-d-xo.html)
      - LOVE TO HATE ME (th-cam.com/video/VE3i4_3fdA0/w-d-xo.html)
      - YOU NEVER KNOW (th-cam.com/video/gRc8Lb9mqBQ/w-d-xo.html)
      11. - R - . If you ever wondered what i mean by those unique tittle of an album, then you just need to learn that these "- R -" is literally the actual name of an album by one of BLACKPINK's members which is Rose. This album is basically her first ever solo project as the main vocalist of BLACKPINK and there's 4 tracks in it (The first one which called "ONTHE GROUND" is tittle track, the second one which called "GONE" is the b-side and the other two is the 'instrument-only' type of track for both "ON THE GROUND" and "GONE"). For now "ON THE GROUND" is the only one which has an official MV into it and for "GONE" it's still completely unclear wether it's gonna get a music video or not all.
      - ON THE GROUND (th-cam.com/video/CKZvWhCqx1s/w-d-xo.html)
and for "GONE", as usual you can also use a Color Coded Lyrics version from a youtube chanel named 'Jaeguchi'
      - GONE (th-cam.com/video/O2S-Vm-fNrw/w-d-xo.html)

ROSÉ (Pronounced Row Say, the E is accentuated, aka Roseanne Park, Park Chae-young) is the MaIn vocalist and Lead Dancer of the biggest Girl Group in the world BLACKPINK. She is a Korean born in New Zealand but grew up in Australia. English is her 1st language. This is her solo project consisting of Two songs On The Ground and Gone. The other members of BLACKPINK are Jennie (Jennie Kim) who has already released a solo song called Solo. She is Korean but grew up in New Zealand for a while. She is the Main Rapper and vocalist. Jisoo (Kim Jisoo, pronounced Gee Sue) the only girl born and raised in Korea is the Main Visual and lead Vocalist. Lisa. (or Lalisa Monoban, AKA Lilli) is the only non-Korean in the group, as she is Thai. She is the Main Dancer and Lead Rapper, sub vocalist. They all speak several languages which help make them International. They have several songs in all English off their latest album, The Album, but usually do a mix of both English and Korean. (Be sure to have captions when playing their videos to understand the Korean parts.) They have collaborated with artists such as Dua Lipa, Lady Gaga, Selena Gomez, Cardi B. Their music tends to be Hip Hop, Trap, Edm, and Pop influenced, and yes they are Kpop. Lisa will be having her Solo project coming out later in the year then followed by Jisoo. BLACKPINK has two sides to them the black and pink, or the pretty and savage. Some songs are inspired by the pink side while their Bangers are usually inspired by the black. They have a documentary on Netflix called Light Up The Sky, if you want to get to know them better, also How You Like That, Kill This Love, Ddu-Du Ddu-Du, BOOMBAYAH, and Lovesick Girls are some videos to maybe start with. I hope this helps. P.S. The Collab songs are Kiss and Make up, Sour Candy, Icecream, Bet You Wanna.

"It sounds like two different songs", Welcome to kpop!
Sir I have to warn you. Once you dive into kpop, there's no way out. It's a black hole.
I'm gonna try to answer a few of your remarks without drowning you in information.
Rosé is a member of Blackpink. This is her solo debut. Rosé grew up in Australia (her nationality is actually austalian). So obviously she speaks english/writes in English too.
    Kpop = Korean pop.
So most songs are in Korean (with a few english phrases thrown in). However, kpop artists often release songs in Japanese, or english versions of their songs.
For the language thing, most releases nowadays have subtitles in English available on TH-cam. You can also easily Google translations, and people make videos with lyric translations on TH-cam too.
(And music has no barriers. You can tell the emotions of a song without necessarily understanding everything 🙂 It's a whole different experience. You pay more attention to the composition/production, the music video...)
Kpop music videos are always high quality (and high budget). They pay a lot of attention to visuals.
Kpop fans can be a handful. And artists release stuff much more regularly than in the west. Don't let fans pressure you into reacting to 34 different groups/songs. You'd get tired of it really quickly. Enjoy the journey! 🙂

Definitely keen to see your reaction to a language that is new to you. I know some people who just can't listen to Kpop due to the language barrier but personally I find that, especially with rap, Korean just flows sooo much better over music.
Just letting you know that popular Korean music is a whole art form within itself which can be a little overwhelming at first. From the clothes to the lyrics to the concepts, its all made for entertainment and the artist themselves are complete entertainers, often with multiple languages under their belt, by the time they debut.

BLACKPINK have 4 members, Jennie, Rosé, Lisa, and Jisoo. All 4 of them can sing, dance, play instruments, and write their own songs. Jennie and Lisa (the one with the bangs) are also rappers. Rosé is a Korean born in New Zealand, but grew up in Australia. Jennie is a Korean that grew up in New Zealand. Jisoo is the only Korean member who grew up in South Korea. Lisa is Thai. Now, all of them live together in South Korea. You can't see their full dance choreography in their music videos, but you can see it in their dance practice videos and live performances. Lisa is also the best dancer among them. She also release her own dance videos on her own TH-cam channel, Lilifilm Official. She also did live solo dance performances. She is also an awesome strict and lovable dance mentor. Jennie also recently start her own TH-cam channel, Jennierubyjane Official, where she will upload her own videos and do cover songs.
BLACKPINK have been breaking records after records ever since their debut in 2016. The crazy thing is that they released only singles and mini-albums (1-4 songs each) until October 2, 2020 when they released their first full album, THE ALBUM. By the time they release THE ALBUM, they already have 3 music videos with more than a billion views. With THE ALBUM, they have a total of about 21 songs. THE ALBUM was ranked #1 on Gaon (Korean music chart like Billboard), #2 on Billboard 200, Billboard World Album Chart, #1 on Billboard Top Album Sale, #1 and Top 10 in many countries such as UK, Japan, Mexico, Canada, and China. Lovesick Girls, the title track for THE ALBUM, was ranked #2 on US Billboard 200, #1 on Billboard Global Excl. US, #1 on Billboard World Digital Song Sale, #1 and top 10 in many countries such as Malaysia, China, and Singapore. How You Like That, their pre-release single for THE ALBUM, set 5 Guinness World Records. They even got their 3rd PAK (Perfect All Kill) with it. PAK is a term referring to a song that was rank #1 on all of Korean music charts. BLACKPINK officially become the first girl group ever to be ranked #1 on Billboard Artists 100 and #1 on Bloomberg. They already performed at the Coachella in 2019 and their live performance are the highlight performance at that time. They are also currently the most subscribed music group on TH-cam with more than 58 million subscribers. They are also the most followed female music group on Spotify, surpassing Little Mix in 2019. You can learn more about them from their Netflix documentary, BLACKPINK Light Up The Sky. BLACKPINK was recently praised by the Korean president Moon Jaein for their worldwide accomplishments in 2020. They currently planning to release solo albums for each members in 2021 after doing their online concert, The Show. No, they are not disbanding.
Please, react to BLACKPINK Boombayah and Whistle. These 2 songs are their debut songs released in 2016. While Boombayah is a bigger international hit, they got their first PAK with Whistle, thus making them the first and only Korean girl group to achieve this feat with a debut song. Make sure to turn on the caption to see the English subtitle. 😎🙏

Some basic things for more kpop reactions:
-Don’t forget you can turn on closed captions since most songs go between English and Korean
-it’s ok to not know everything about a group! All the fans are super welcoming and helpful
(Plus it’s overwhelming when you first start)
-you’re going to have so much fun!! It’s wild and crazy and you’ll always be on your toes

As you get to know them, you will discover the different genre of music. MVs that are out of this world that are so meaningful that you will need to dig so deep to understand. Rosé is one of the 4 members of BlackPink. They are a kpop group who sings mostly in mux of Korean and English. It just so happen that Rosé came out with 2 full English songs, On The Ground and Gone. I'm so excited to watch you on your journey in getting to know more of BlackPink. Subscribed to your channel so I won't miss any of your reactions to their songs. In K-Pop it's actually normal for the group members to debut their own solo works to enrich the experience of the group rather than in the west where going solo is what one does to leave the group.
Blackpink is composed of 4 members. 2 of them have released solo works so far: Jennie and Rosé [Pronounced Ro-Zay but her full name is Roseanne. Nicknames include Rosie, Foodsé, Chipmunk, Pasta]. Rosé has debuted on March 12, 2021 with two songs: "On The Ground" and "Gone." Her sound is quite different from the overall hip-hop, trap and edm, girl-crush concept that Blackpink owns but still maintains some elements.

It's refreshing to see others reacting on any Blackpink music, be it group/solo. Thank you for this interesting vid :)
Roseanne aka *Rosé* is a member of Blackpink. English is her native language which is understandable why she release her solo both in English.
In the MV, Rosé (black&pink outfit) refers to her 'celeb' life while Roseanne (white tshirt) refer to her 'pre-celeb' personality. The colour white often refers to innocence/purity, which is represented in the colour of the outfit throughout the MV when she refers to her old self/Roseanne.
She mentioned in interviews what she miss about her trainee/pre-debut life is that she has less worries and how her life is only surrounded by music, as depicted in the piano scene. Back in AU, she plays piano every day while singing her heart out till midnight that her dad eventually encourage her to audition for YG in 2012. Funny thing is that her family confessed to her later on that they often had a family meeting upstairs to discuss who should come down and tell her to stop because it's getting late.
The stairway, at least my take on it, may refers to how we often compromise on our 'selves' on our way *up* , only to realise how much we *lost* once we're up there. Hence, why she wore the mourning colour black, surrounded by her other 'selves' wearing white rose outfit.

She is one of Blackpink members, she is Korean who born in New Zealand that raised in Australia, her English name is Roseanne Park, her korean name is Park Chaeyoung. This is her first solo debut after 3years of preparing. She choose full English song for her solo bc she feels its more easy for her to represent her message of the song. In this solo debut album she works with great western producer and songwriter and she also participated in it. All of Blackpink songs are mix with English, they are different from other kpop group, bc of their music, voice tone, lyrics and style. Their Netflix doc can give you some of their informations. Thank you for reacting to this🙏

I'm surprised but also incredibly excited that you haven't listened to any of Blackpink's music yet. Can't wait for you to become a Blink in time!
Rosé is a member of Blackpink. Her name before Blackpink was Roseanne. She grew up in NZ and Australia so she initially started with English as her spoken language. She moved to Korea and learnt Korean.
Blackpink are slowly coming out with solo music. It's natural, since Rosé is most comfortable speaking English, that her solo is entirely in English. Most K-pop does use a blend of Korean and English though, depending on how comfortable the group is in speaking the languages. You're right on that! :)

Their Netflix Docu is reallyyy good. Its a great way to see how they came together (because its VERY different from how groups come about in America) & you can see their individual strengths and personalities. So I definitely recommend that. Their last album came out in October 2020, which was greattt, & they sing/rap in mixtures of Korean and English so I suggest just turning on the English subtitles on youtube when watching their music videos and that way you can understand the Korean parts because they switch languages from one word to the next flawlessly lol I’m honestly not very familiar with Kpop at all, but I do love Blackpink & like BTS. Very talented groups!

I’m late to your reaction but I’m glad I caught it. Your comment section is filled with info so I’ll spare you more of the same. What I will tell you is that if you enjoyed the mix of beat, sounds, aesthetics, you’re in for a treat. This is pretty much how all Blackpink music is and much of kpop for that matter. I am truly anticipating your dive into Blackpink. Oh, and no, you’re correct to assume Kpop is primarily in Korean but English is incorporated into it and more and more as time passes to draw western attention as well. Again, looking forward to you checking out Blackpink and other Kpop. One thing’s for sure, you’ll have no shortage of content!
