I heard around that whole video was kinda inspired by the film “Jennifer’s Body” especially the water scene.
it really reminds me of the movie "Sugar and Spice" about the criminal cheerleaders even their uniforms were blue but I don't think that movie is very well known with zoomers considering I don't think most of them were born when it came out lol

I’m pretty sure the red eyes are a reference to the early 2000s cheesy horror movie, Jenifers body. It also makes sense because the style of this song has a very 2000s vibe which would go along with the movie

The reason I freaking love your reactions are because you don’t only focus on the background but also the lyrics and video! You understand the image she’s giving us and the little, almost like puzzle pieces, in the songs. You get so invested in it! But I’m really getting early 2000’s from this. Almost like the conceited popular girl in high school that goes crazy after her breakup. Also I don’t know but I thought of Jennifer’s body when I first watched the video. I love the vibes it gives off and the story! This song has been on repeat since I’ve heard it!

I'm so happy a reactor finally mentioned how amazing her acting is in this video. The part after "like a damn sociopath" hit *different*. She plays a crazy person scarily well. Especially when she went from jumping around to the parts where she was spinning/modeling and looked completely fine and happy. I don't know why I liked it so much, but it's just mind-boggling how incredibly talented she is.

The room was a metaphor for her drowning I think. Because she sings several times about crying on her bedroom floor, but she has too much water at her feet. It's like she is drowning in her own tears. But the fire on the curtains shows that she can't escape the emotions. Outside of her room is just as bad as the floor.
