      Cheers Chris - On reflection I was kindof hoping it would be a little more 'dynamic' - more like mastershots, but tracking at the same time. That said, it's still pretty good for some hands free changes of shot though!.

    I tried mine out yesterday and found it quite boring. I think doing it manual is so much better unless dji update, so it does full circles and other stuff rather than just hold and Helix. Thanks for sharing 😁👌👍 🇬🇧

      If not just check my channel for the video entitled 'Buying a DJI Drone? : 5 ESSENTIAL things you MUST know first…' and that should get you well on your way!
      As far as the sound is concerned - that 'clapping' that you may have seen is how it's done in post. I sync the 'peaks' in the audio with my hands clapping. Most film-makers do this with clapperboards, and a lot of youtubers use this trick - I just sometimes keep it in 'cos it makes me laugh 🤣

    hello I'm switching from mini2 to mini4 pro, which I find excellent. With the mini2 I could directly download onto my iPad pro (via a hub) in the Photo App the photos and videos that I captured on the mini2's SD card. Now with the mini 4 pro only photos appear in the Photo app, videos are invisible!!!
    I tried in h264 and h265 same thing. (knowing that I am able to read files via the iPad File app!)
    An idea? THANKS.

    • @amoktimeflies

      If you download the DJI fly app to your iPad you *should* be able to then connect directly to your mini 4 pro using that and then download your clips. TBH I haven’t tried it, but I don’t see why it wouldn’t work… let me know how you get on…

    There should be an option to automatically update homepoint to controller.

    • @amoktimeflies

      Good point and 100% agree! Would be especially useful for people filming from moving vehicles and most especially boats.
      Possibly an option to switch on updating the home point every 'x' seconds (as I suspect it drains a tiny bit of battery doing it). So every 120 seconds for walking, 10 seconds for vehicles and 2 seconds for boats.... something like that...
      Couldn't be too difficult 'cos remote ID basically does that already with both the aircraft and controller in the later DJI drone systems (just not necessarily switched on depending on the territory).
      Thanks for watching!

  • @peterevans2278

    So the 'Update Home Point' to the RC is not dynamic ?

    • @amoktimeflies

      Correct - it’s a bit of a PITA and I’ve always thought it would be good to have that mode as a firmware update in the future. Thanks for watching!

    • @peterevans2278

      Exactly; it seems to me that, in that mode, all the RC needs to do is send a signal to the drone every second to say "this is where I am now." It's not as if the battery in the RC is going to get eaten up. Let's hope the facility appears soon!

    My mini3 pro with rc is now saying activeshots and it doesn’t work. Activetrack is gone. What am I doing wrong?? I’m new at this.
    Thanks.

    • @amoktimeflies

      Hello Carpet - thanks for watching and sorry to hear you're having problems.
      I've just checked with my Mini 3 Pro and with the latest firmware DJI has changed the terminology from Activetrack to Activeshots (and they even sometimes call it 'Smartshots' which is confusing!).
      I was able to get it to work just as usual in manual or parallel mode, but f it was the mode where it dynamically changes the shot that you were after then I'm afraid that isn't available on the Mini 3 Pro.
      You can still select your subject on the screen, select Activeshots and then select 'manual' or 'parallel' then hit 'Go' and that should work, Do be careful with Parallel as the mini 3 pro doesn't have sideways obstacle avoidance which is also why it doesn't do the 360 mode.
      If the options for manual or parallel aren't coming up, then there may be an issue with your drone or controller and you'd need to contact DJI for a repair or replacement.
      Oh - and possibly have a check in the menu just incase Safety->Disable sideways flight is switched on as that will prevent paralell tracking as well.
      Hope you manage to sort it out - best of luck! 🤞🖖
      Amok

    • @Statewidecarpet

      When I hit activeshots it doesn’t switchover to that it just stays on poi

    • @amoktimeflies

      Ah - OK - you're definitely selecting a person or vehicle? When you select it should show an icon of a person or a car. You could also try switching on subject scanning shown here : forum.dji.com/thread-265344-1-1.html This automatically detect subjects it can follow and puts a green + sign on them. Hit the + and you should be able to track them.
      Also when you make your selection double check nothing is already selected - if there is something already selected you'll see a green cross which you have to hit to deselect first (this always gets me as well!)

    • @Statewidecarpet

      I will try it again. I was trying to have it track me. I didn’t see an icon of a person or car. I’ll hopefully try it later today. Thank you.
