These Actors were “Bigger than Life”, I know because of the roles that they played, I never paid attention to their height. I guess, I payed more attention to their talent. Each one was a legend in their Era, whether it be from the 1800’s to now. Thank You for paying tribute to each one of these great people! Blessings to You and Jim!
When I was at children’s hospital of Los Angeles , I met the lady from poltergeist (Zelda) . She was there spending time with patients passing out gifts for the holidays. I was in a wheelchair, she came over and asked if I got a present yet. I said no & she gave me a lipstick, blush & shadow kit. She showed me how to apply makeup. It was 1990 holiday season. Wayne Gretzky, Al Jerro & Craig T. Nelson are folks I also got the chance to meet. Wayne gave me a babydoll, Al Jerro sang to me but my migraines overpowered everything that day & it upset him, my mom gushed over Craig T Nelson’s height . Zelda was so cool & you could tell she was a genuine person. Some of the nurses were trying to convince me to stay a couple extra days because more stars were scheduled to visit but I just wanted to go home and have Christmas at home. Hospitals don’t have ham with the cherries, quilt blankets , warm rooms or family members.
Thank you Steve for sharing a beautiful video. Years ago I met Jerry Maren. One of the original munchkins in the Lollipop Guild. He was also another little person that played Little Oscar for Oscar Mayer touring in the hotdog mobile. When I met him a little girl asked if he'd say the famous line "We wish to welcome you to munchkin land.". He did and then from behind his back handed her a giant lollipop. It was a sweet moment I won't forget. Stay safe and blessed Steve.🌈🍭
My dad and Shirley Barty both grew up and went to school together in a small town in Idaho called Malad city. He was really good friends with her and kept in touch with her until she passed away. Growing up I remember meeting Billy and Shirley a few times and they were very nice people. It was really nice seeing this video. A lot of people don’t even know who Billy Barty is. Thank you so much.
This was a fantastic memorial video for those we have lost and may have been forgotten, thank you for the beautiful journey you take us on… Rest In Peace.

A fascinating tribute to these notable entertainers. I was struck that it seems that the majority of the deceased live fairly long lives--late 70s into their 90s. Several who died young did so by their own hand. Thanks for educating all of us with this informative piece.
Thank You so much for sharing this Steve! My Family and I met Mickey Carroll in the early 2000's. He was at an Autograph Signing! He was the Sweetest, Most Humble Person! Told Us stories about "The Ruby Slippers"! He wore a Lapel Pin in the shape of them! He told Us stories about His Father (He had been a Police Officer) who had befriended a Legendary Gangster, that later was to become His very own Godfather! None other than Al Capone! He was a Very Gracious Human Being & We we're thankful to have met Him

I just watched your video and I haven't cried so much in along time. It didn't hit me to half way thur. I have always been a sensitive and even when I watch people videos I can pick up how they were sad ,lonely and depressed. Wow so much sadness that I pick up from these people in this video. Many of these entertainers were ones I enjoyed when I was younger. Michael Dunn was on Wild Wild West as Miguelito Lovelace. Michael Rappaport was on the TV show The Wizard that I used to love when I was a kid. Many of these little people lived to ripe old ages, surprisingly. Thanks for remembering!

I have to chime in because jockeys are not "little people." Josh Ryan Evans, he was also on ally mcbeal, remember his court room scene? He was hilarious. A star for sure. Sucks big time he only lived to be 20.

Jerry Maren also played the part of Harry Tallman on "The Odd Couple." The episode was 'Felix the Horse Player' (S5 E16).
