Hi Arthur, not sure why I've never messaged before but I've watched the channel for many years and want to thank you so much for paying the respects we can't to so many of our friends. Thank you billy for your brave service
Too my friend, too. And while I’m being pedantic, your context is wrong. Also work on your syntax. That way I can relax when I see the apex of commenters.
I miss George Michael very much. 😢 He was not simply a talented musician, he was a wonderful human being, always being his true self, no snobbery or massive ego. His music holds personal memories for millions of people, myself included. Rest in peace, wonderful George. 💐 N.B A well presented, respectful video of greats that still inspire today. Thank you.
I once met John Challis when he was travelling first class on a train I was managing. He was a lovely man we chatted for 2 and a half hours. This was in 2001..George Michael to this day remains a large donor to his Children's charities. He was anonymous until 2 years before he died. ALL of his royalties now go to them. What a lovely man he must have been deep down.
He was a lovely man but it wasn't just deep down his generosity and kindness flowed out of him and made the world a better place despite the media attempts to drag him through the mud he rose above them
I remember when they first found Richard III's bones. One of England's most famous kings missing for 5 centuries, to be found in a parking lot. Crazy story.
I remember this too from some years ago and there was a very well made documentary on this on Smithsonian Channel. Watching the royal funeral for the former king was so fascinating and I’ve been very much intrigued by royal history from all over the world but especially the British monarchy all the way back to the 12 century and previous. 🤓
George Michael. I'd forgotten he passed away in 2016. We lost so many greats that year, including David Bowie and Alan Rickman, and all three so suddenly and with no warnings, and all favorites of mine. That was a rough year. I knew of several others by their names. Thanks so much for the video, Arthur, and thanks so much to everyone doing the legwork to make it possible.
Sadly that year also saw the passing of Eagles’s singer Glenn Frey, Prince, Leonard Cohen, Pete Burns, Jon English, Rick Parfitt (the guitarist from the band which had the Down Down hit on those Cole’s’ Ads) as well as Andrew Sachs, Gene Wilder, Ronnie Corbett, Charmian Carr, Bruce Mansfield and Max Walker. It was a very sad year for the entertainment industry.
A brilliant video. have learned about great people i never knew about, poets, writers. from Ireland and people from my home the UK. George Michael, quietly gave his money to great causes. Thank You for a great journey .
Thank you and the special viewers for this great UK and Ireland edition. So many greats remembered... EdwinStarr, Dermot Morgan, John Challis, George Michael.. Sorry to see the wonderful Leslie Phillips doesn't have a grave marker... Rip to all
I have to say my favourite was seeing the grave of my great (x4) grandfather Arthur Guinness. The name continued down to my grandmother whose middle name was Guinness. How awesome it was to see his final resting place!
I really appreciate this grave tour - As a child I loved visiting cemeteries and reading gravestones - It sparked my imagination about those people who had passed away wondering what sort of lives they had - it also helped me understand mortality and we're only here a short time so make the best of it - Today one of your featured grave stones particularly moved me to tears - It was Edith Cavell who I knew nothing about - A caring English nurse was captured by the Germans & executed for protecting allied soldiers in 1915 - After the war her remains were were returned to Britain where she received a State Funeral at Westminster Abbey 1919 - My God she deserved the highest accolade.
Kia Ora Mr A Dark. Thank you for yet another wonderful trip back to my first home. England will always be where my heart lies. Jane in New Zealand 🇬🇧🇳🇿
Thank for using my submissions of David Rappaport, Leslie Phillip and the Krays I will be sure to keep looking for new local graves on my travels. Also enjoyed being featured at beginning with all my dogs who also come grave spotting with me. Brilliant channel thanks ☺️
It’s 3am EST 5-18-24 in Detroit and I’m finally off work and was able to finish the whole vid. My personal fav of the graves visited in this episode is George Michael. At 45, there are a few artists that had a profound, lifelong effect on my taste in music, ( in some cases, men), and are still in my top 5 favorite artists. The late, great, MJ is #1 but GM is a very close second. I was 5-6 when Careless Whisper came out and I will never forget, watching the video and being absolutely stunned and amazed by how beautiful he was and how amazing and haunting his voice was. I still get goosebumps to this day hearing Father Figure or Careless Whisper….. R.I.P GM…. We love you and forever miss you. Thank you for your talent and impact on the world. ☺️
Thank you so much for sharing this one! It is always good to view your productions. Also, thank you to those who offered their time to this, as well. Well done!

The Civil war grave is in my local cemetery, less that a mile away! Went out Sunday and visited all but one, Frank Randle, as he evaded us. Thanks to the local HG watches for their contribution to this wonderful channel❤
It was lovely to see the grave of my 80's idol George Michael. After so much controversy following his death I'm so glad he is resting peacefully beside his dear mother and sister~🌹🌹🌹

May I respectively say to those of all faiths, that I very recently came across a lovely Irish prayer, that I feel matches the wonderful tour here, of the Irish church (grave) yards. The author goes uncredited: "Going through a Graveyard" - "God greet you, all gathered here, May God and Mary greet you. As we are now so once were you, As you are now so shall we be. May all of us prosper under The bright King of the world."
I was saddened by the sad fate of Edith Cavell, who was executed by a German firing squad during the First World War. (around 37:30) She helped so many soldiers. Allied forces ones and even Germans. As a German I feel ashamed about what had happened to her back then. What a cruel act.

Thank you for including the footage from the videographer of St Margaret of Scotland and King Robert the Bruce at Dunfermline Abbey. ❤
George Michael will always be my favorite singer ❤
He was the only singer I would enjoy seeing singing for the late Freddie Mercury in Queen. Who sings a lot like Freddie.
I read the other day that George Michael was related to Prince Phillips side of the Royal family
@@noelinerenwick5347 that's awesome
@@noelinerenwick5347 Well I don't think thats true based on the track record the tabloids have I mean was George was the one who said it because I belive only him or hisfamily and friends I do not believe tabloid rumor
@@laurammeza1992 But sadly it may not even be true the tabloids are Notorious for making up stories about him although I admit this is a positive one and the tabloids prefer untrue falsehoods the jucier the better scandal sells after all so unless there was a quote from George himself that said it I am skeptical and sometimes the tabloids can make up fake statements and quotes and falsely say he said it and he would have to come foeard later and say no thats a lie I never said that because its not true and I have better things to do than to entertain the tabloids lies
Arthur, again a wonderfully entertaining and informative video. Thank you so much for this and a huge thank you to the viewers who contributed in this video. Please never stop!

Hi Arthur, love your channel. Tommy Cooper died 15th April 1984. Not as stated 15 April 1963, I was watching when it happened. Much love xx

Arthur I'd like to thank you for your fine work of editing and I like to thank all of the contributors for this one. Although you may not be aware of it you are participating in probably one of the best cloning experiments ever seeing how you can't be in several places at once😅 thanks so much
Thank you to everyone that sent in a video. I always look forward to these videos.
Thank you, Arthur 🙏 ive followed your channel for a while, from UK 🇬🇧 Born in England, living in Scotland. This was a greattribute to so many.
The late Labour party leader, John Smith, has a simple yet beautiful grave on the island of Iona (Scotland)
🙏🏴
Enjoy your channel, especially enjoy the longer videos! Those who contributed videos for this segment: CONTINUE BEING AWESOME!!!!
Thanks for introducing Keith Harris and Orville! Being on the other side of the pond I had not heard of them, but now have gone down the rabbit hole because I love ventriloquists. Orville is absolutely adorable.
I saw Wham! In the summer of 1985 at the Oakland Cullocium. Although being summertime they debuted Last Christmas there. I remember George coming out (no pun intended) in that canary yellow leather(?) outfit with shades
Mr. Dark, good selection of notables from across the pond! I had no idea Edwin Starr is buried there!
Nice touch adding bits of poetry too. Great production as always.
Dear Arthur, What a wonderful film! Such beautiful country scenes. And, actors I knew and remembered. Thank you and the members of our wonderful community.
No film was involved in the making of this video.
Mr. DARK, I'm really happy to watch another awesome video from you. You did an amazing job, and I truly enjoy your work. I appreciate the time and effort you put into making these videos.
This is the first time I have watched your channel and I really enjoyed it, Thank you for sharing.
When these come out on my day off it's an extra happy day.
Great show. I find it interesting that George Michael is interned without the usual fanciness we see these days for mega pop stars.
Mrs H 🇬🇧 ... I met George Michael in the 80's.... He gave most of his money to charity Annonomously but as we all know he lived well but shared the money of his success for those that needed it...God Bless Him....❤
interred
Thank you to all my fellow English people for sharing your videos.
I was so sad to see sinéads grave I listen to nothing compares to you daily! so incredibly sad her story losing her son to suicide broke her but she never gave up fighting for justice for kids And outing the church for abuse.
Your at rest now O’Connor be with your son in forever peace ❤️
I definitely believe she died of a broken heart.
Arthur, your research, narration and respect make the videos very informative and special; thank you.
Another well done Hollywood Graveyard video. Thank you, Arthur and contributors! 👍
Highgate cemetery is the most hauntingly beautiful cemetery, a perfect place for such a legend as George Michael. You’ve said his name as beautiful as he did
I never liked giorge Mikael
I doubt he liked you either.
@@NailHeavenAshford why don't you start a porn star sex career if you love George mikhail so much
