My Dad used to take me around Hollywood and Los Angeles in the 70s and 80s and show me the Iconic Landmarks of the City. Like the Brown Derby , Chasens Restaurant and Competition Motors where James Dean last left with his new Porsche. Also many places where Laurel and Hardy, Buster Keaton and Harold Lloyd filmed their pictures. Almost all of those places are gone now. Glad that I got to see them.
I was delighted when this video popped up..totally brightened a cold, dark day. There is something delightful and comforting going back to a more entertaining past. The scenery is always beautiful.Thank you
I first saw Dame Elizabeth Taylor in 1987 at a shopping mall in Hudson's Department Store promoting her perfume, and she came back to Hudson's again to promote another one of her perfumes in 1992 at the same mall. There were so many people there to see her..gosh i was so excited to see her as well, miss her so much.😊 I love Hollywood Graveyard.
Arthur, I want you to know I really appreciate how much you honor all these people by the research and details you include from their lives and filmographies. Kudos, sir.
Even though Grace Kelly was an American actress, she gave up everything for the country of Monaco, family and duty say a lot about her. Whereas Meghan Markle is the polar opposite of grace, Kelly. She a D list actress, who could only handle royal life for a few minutes. And then buggered off to America to make jam and dog biscuits. Pathetic.
Just Watched Fifty of the Classic Screen legends, Brilliant. I've allways had an interest in The Hollywood Classic Actors, & Films, 30s,40s 50s. 60s.70s Who have Died. God Bless them all.
They certainly don't make them like that anymore, do they? A fabulous array of talents that will never be forgotten. Thank you for another amazing video 😊
I absolutely LOVE this video and the outstanding tribute to real movie stars of the Golden Age of Hollywood looking and enjoying the classiest, most elegant, talented, and beautiful actors of all time. That Golden Age of Hollywood is IRREPLACEABLE. You can’t find actors today that will measure up to the level of superior acting skills that these yesterday actors had. These actors were all true gentlemen and handsome men; and the ladies and actresses were goddesses. It is sad that the great era of Hollywood disappeared as time went on, the true tragedy of Hollywood. God bless always the souls of all these magnificent, geniuses, and more importantly talented actors who entertained movie goers around the world, they are and always will be UNFORGETTABLE. ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️🙏💐👍👍🙌🙌
This tribute was amazing! With all the technology today nobody can measure up to these Actors and Actresses that started the movies. Thank you for your work Arthur. You are truly appreciated for keeping this era alive. I’m 67 years old and haven’t seen any new movies in years. I go to the classics.
I've seen all those movies growing up, it is so surreal that many of these actors were around our my (our) life time, only to see that their passing was so long ago, save for those that were in recent years. Life is indeed a flicker of candle light in the wind. A great tribute, Arthur. May those whom have journeyed home rest in eternal blissful light.
Over the years, I have become more and more invested into this channel. The music at the beginning of every show after the intro just gets you excited and in the mood to see what’s coming up. What draws me most is how much I am learning from Arthur’s narration. Countless times I’ve said to myself “wow! That came from him/her! Unbelievable.” It almost hard to believe at times their life is over because their work still influences you today to the point you think they are still walking around. Just an incredible channel. Mr. Dark you certainly found a way to honor these individuals and teach us as well. Thanks for all you do. I’ll continue supporting this channel. 😊
What a wonderful list of people who touched everyone through their talent and presence. So many missing; James Mason, Steve McQueen, Paul Newman and on and on!
Their main body of work had to have been completed prior to the some of the names you mentioned, I remember that from the AFI presentation I think, McQueen and Newman will be shoo-ins for the next one I'm sure.
@bambino - It is said that after someone has been gone over 60 years, regardless of who they are, they receive fewer and fewer visits, so fewer flowers. I believe that to be the case.
Arthur, this was the best almost 2 hours I have ever spent watching what I love. You are a national treasure bringing us these video masterpieces. Thank again and again!
Arthur Dark, you've done it again, kept me at computer to watch this, I appreciate the way you tell us the actors/actresses' stories. I love learning about the history of the movies/stage and tv shows. These 50 people deserve to be remembered for sure. I will look for many of their movies so I can watch them in action.
One of the biggest regrets I have involves Mr. Portier. I was behind him in line at Whole Foods in Beverly Hills about 9 years ago or so. I was so spellbound that I couldn't even say hi to him. I wish I had done it. His work in Guess Who's Coming to Dinner was one of the best acting performances of all time. The scene in the library between him and his father was so moving! I wish I could have told him how I felt.
Wow! Bravo Arthur Dark! This episode is the masterpiece of your career since the very first time I discovered you on TH-cam. Since then, Hollywood Graveyard has become THE reference for paying tribute to the legends of American and international cinema and show business. It is a perfect and flawless production that you are presenting to us today. Once again bravo and thank you Mr. Dark for the extraordinary work of research, archive films as well as for the visual and sound presentation worthy of an Oscar!
Arthur - if I could award you an oscar for this video, I'd award you two. Every second was a total delight. You must have put in very long hours to edit this one. Thank you for this classic video. It is AMAZING!
So well produced! Great period music, classy and very respectful, very good abbreviated career history, great film clips, and fantastic videography. Please keep these amazing videos coming!!!!
I'm at Jean Harlow now. Sadly, I get up at 1am for work so I have to go to bed. Will watch the rest tomorrow. I can't tell you how much I am enjoying this program. Thank you so much for your work

Bravo Mr. Dark!!! You did an extreme justice to all of these fine, wonderful and extremely talented actors/actresses of our time and some that were before our time!! Once again, you never cease to amaze us, your Hollywood Graveyard family!! Thank You so much once again for such an amazing tribute filled with so much knowledge and brilliance!! You've truly out-done yourself :-)
Mr. Dark, impressive would be such an understatement. Much more than entertaining, also. Thank you for bringing these immortal souls back to life. You, sir, deserve an award yourself for the information and love you share of those famous actors. Thank you so much. Blessings from Michigan.
After watching this I'm dizzy, a little surprised to see Sophie Loren, but guessed most every person when you said the cemetery or section. Thank you Arthur hugs.

I have great fondness and respect for the movie industry folks who set aside their careers, in order to serve in the WWII Armed Forces. My favorite is Jimmy Stewart, who demonstrated in his personal life the same humility, strength and dedication seen in many parts that he played. Truly admirable. As was Clark Gable, who enlisted in part to honor his wife Carole, after she died in a plane crash during her efforts to boost troop and national morale during the war. Thank you for this long and moving tribute to these and other very special stars!
@@kepckatherinec805 I don’t know if you know this, but Jimmy Stewart’s only son, Robert I think his name was, died during the Vietnam Conflict. That is true devotion of ANY parent.

Arthur Dark you’re a legend and freaking genius 🥰♥️♥️♥️👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I pass by the James Dean memorial junction all the time when I drive to and from college, loved watching his movies to pass time during the pandemic 😊
Mr. Dark, your videos are absolutely fantastic and I thoroughly enjoy every single one of them.
I’d include William Powell!
I’m sad he wasn’t on the list.
However, nicely done Arthur and the HG team!
I love every minute of your videos.
It surprises me to that William Powell wasn't on the list especially with all the comedies he did in the Golden Age of Ol Hollywood
