this case hit me hard when it happened because i met lizzy a few times in the city and she was a sweetheart and i couldn’t believe that her own brother would take the life of his own sister. there’s a special place in hell for him. congratulations on your precious little guy, charlie. he’s the cutest little man ever. 💙

My theory is that it was not just a robbery, i feel like the mother chose her daughter over her son which made the son jealous and all of that rage wad kept inside of him until it exploded one day

I don't think his mother should have like disowned him, it's her son you know what i mean? We all deserve to be loved by somebody in my eyes and i could never disown my child under any circumstance if i had 1
But still, an innocent life was taken and that's just wrong
I just wanted to add.... if you arrive to a scene and the cops tell you they wont let you go in... dont try.. believe me you dont want that picture to stay in your head for the rest of your life... I wish I had never found my fiancee when he killed himself. The neighbor, police, myself and ME where the only ones that saw him, but we still see it in our minds. His father worked 1/2 mile away and came to the house, police would not let him into the back yard where our detached garage was, with him in it. And while I still have feelings regarding his family blaming me for him killing himself; I'm grateful that they do not live with the imagine of him in their heads even 14 years later

As soon as you started talking about the brother I knew it was going to be him. I have a bad history with brothers so I'm always sus on them.

I love how you tell these people's stories you are very easy to listen to and I have ADHD so it's hard for me to pay attention but I don't have as much problems when you speak it's like talking to your best friend thank you for giving these people a voice such a sad story though it seems to happen far to often and I pray for the family I think he should have gotten live because he tried to get another person to take the fall

What a selfish person. Who got a gift from his mom who didn’t have to give him shit. He had the nerve to it only be ungrateful but was awful snd selfish enough to rob his MOM and then murder his SISTER. I feel so bad for his family. The damage he caused everyone in his whole family is irreversible. His kid has no dad, he basically abandoned his wife. Murdered his sister. Destroyed their mother and left all of his family grieving and devastating. Because of him his brother is the only remaining sibling. He went firm having two siblings to basically being a only child. So devastating.

Out of all the true crime stories, this one was one of the saddest and most horrible.i ever heard.... When they said it was her brother who did it, my stomach literally dropped!!! I was like WTF!!! 😦😦. That shit had me upset for a minute..😥😥🌹💐❤️

Apparently she has had him! There's a lot of people congratulating her on here so either she puts a quick update at the end of the video or they saw it on another social media platform. I'm gutted if that's the case because I don't belong to any other social media platforms apart from TH-cam.
Oh wow this really does hit close to home. I am a native of Staten Island born and raised. I know the Willowbrook area very well. Although I was only 13 when Aliza was murdered I do not remember this case. Staten Island does not really have any cases out there that are covered by the True Crime Community. This is the first time I ever came across a case. I had a feeling about the brother because of the “money issues”. But you are so good at story telling and strayed me away from him thinking it was the ex boyfriend. Thank you for covering this case. Nothing really ever happens on Staten Island. The brother is a disgusting greedy pig. He should of gotten a far worse sentence. Great job to the Staten Island police department 👏 👏. RIP Aliza ❤

I’ve made a habit of watching at least two videos a day! I knew it was the brother, I don’t really know why, I just have a sixth sense for that stuff. But thank you! You do these cases in such a great and informative way. I feel like he really didn’t know she was there but he didn’t have to kill her!! I do think that the punishment fits the crime in this case. I suspected the brother early on when you said he was estranged from his mother. I also guessed money was the motive as it usually is in family situations.

A note about meeting people off the internet: I met my partner on Facebook. The first time he and I met in person, we met in a public place with lots of people around in the middle of the afternoon (bright and sunny, not dark and shadowy). I told my mom, one of my roommates, and several friends back in my home state what I was doing, where I was going, and who I was meeting. I don't think it's inherently unsafe to meet up with someone from online. But please take my advice and be as safe as you can about it!
When people say "don't meet strangers off the internet" but that's how I met husband #1 and #2. 👀 I make bad choices 🤣
