- Today I make some room in the shed by clearing out another container of scrap pieces. I melt A heap of old bathroom fixtures into an awesome mirrored bar and a baby copper bar. The sanding process takes half a day unfortunately but what an awesome finish after all is done. Anyway sit back chillout and enjoy todays video and hope to see you all next week 😁👍.

HOW I MIRROR FINISH A BAR
I start with an 80 grit flap disc on my angle grinder then I use my drill with 50 mm round sanding discs . I start with 150 grit then go through the following Grits 240-400-800 Then once I get to the following Grits I use a small squirt of WD-40 1200-1500-2000-2500-3000. The WD40 helps to lubricate the discs and stops the sanding disk binding up with the metal powder . Then after that I use my buffer wheel on my bench grinder to get a perfect mirrored finish on it.

Im a plumber and i love ripping out old bathrooms just because of the sheer amount of brass i collect. Most scrap yard visits i make more on brass than i do on copper
I can't decide which of the boys is my favorite, I love seeing them equally. You make as many memories of the time you have with them as you never know how long it will be.
Also even if it's just the boys I hope you had a happy father's day.

For me, Ingot has a special place for he is the first. He is big brother but Bullion is awesome too. I was happy for Ingot when you brought him a little brother.
Both boys are equally cute. They both have unique, lovable qualities. There is no way to judge them. God Bless their little puppy hearts.

It's not hard to get golf course looking turf at your home, use a warm season grass, even if you live in colder areas 4 new cultivars of dwarfed zoysia grass have been tested as far north as Chicago. Buy a book on turf management, make sure your mower is always sharp, water longer one day instead of watering everyday, if you water everyday for short periods this produces extremely short roots that can't handle summer heat, it also becomes dependent on water everyday. Be sure your soil has the proper pH and micronutrients and macronutrients. Fertilize less, less nitrogen because most grasses are breed this way, extremely low input which saves money. Proper maintenance practices also so the soil stays in great shape.
This isn't Bullion, it's just a brass bar with nickel, tin and lead, definitely not pure which is the very meaning of bullion. It's a alloy, the composition isn't the same for every piece.
I love both pups, but I'd have to say Ingot is my favorite. I love how chill and sweet he is, plus his coloring reminds me of my childhood dog.
I couldn't choose a favorite between the two dogs. as a pair they are both sweet, beautiful dogs.

Absolutely loved the melt but was distracted by the quicksnak BigstackD. Looked scrummy but I would have swapped the jalapeño for bacon, changed the biscuit for bread and finally did the salami length ways. Now that's a snack.....ERM anyone else hungry?

Thanks for another great video! Both Ingot and Bullion are favorites but then again, all dogs are great. I had to take one of my Mastiffs for her last truck ride to the Vet today. She was 11, a long time for a big dog like her. She will be missed. I adopt retired breeders.

When I was a caster in Missouri USA, we used to put soda ash in our dross furnace to lower the melting point of the Pb, Cu and Nickle and Trace Au and Ag.

That big bar you made turned out to be a beauty. I can't pick a favorite pup. Its just not right, I will say Ingot is the handsome one and seems relaxed and it seems Bullion has a little more mischief in him and cute as a button. I love mischief myself. So they are both perfect. You're lucky to have perfect little guys. I hope little Bullion feels better soon, I want to see him chasing birds or the mailman or brother next week. I put my furnace on a paving stone and then use a cinder block to support the lid when I open it to avoid putting stress and weight on the hinge.
