This is what Motorcycles are supposed to be. I have never understood why anyone would want all the distractions of radio etc unless of course the person isn’t a biker. The whole motorcycle thing is man and machine without all the noise of the world.
just bought this in 2020. it is absolutely pure black gold! the ride is as smooth as you expect in a touring, but also has plenty of in town attitude little bit country, little bit rock and roll i like that i can put the mods that *I* want, instead of paying for unnecessary things i never liked in my vision so far i have put on saddle bag guards (black) aux lights (black) touring seat with low profile back rest as time goes on, i will swap chrome for polished black pieces anyway. i bought from the dealer in the video and they did right by me
When you referenced Henry Ford, "You can have any color you want, as long as it's black," I literally put down my beer, and clapped for 10 seconds. Haven't heard that reference in quite some time. Great review, looking to get one of these bikes as soon as I can afford it.
Why everybody feels like in order to have a great Harley video review, there has to be some acid rock to accompany it? This was cool!! Classy music for a classy bike!!! No bad language, no raunchy music, just a great video👍 most video reviews of Harley Davidson bikes are a “ lesson in endurance”....
This bike is $18,999 in the US. Converting that to Australian dollars is roughly $26,900 AU. The RRP here in Australia for this bike is $34,950 AU which is a 33% mark up. Nice bike and I would love one but the price here is ridiculous.
Thanks, very nice. I did get a 2020 and there have been no regrets, just smiles, esp. on acceleration. People get caught up in the displacement wars, 107/14/17 etc., but really it was fun even before I began slipping on that slippery slope and got an S&S air cleaner kit. Then came the pipes + tune. And please don’t let people bar-room-bravado you into thinking the Screaming Eagle exhaust is for, well, people who don’t brawl in bar rooms. It adds a cup of coffee to an already fully awake motor. The seat though had to go. I’m 6’2” in socks and felt like I was humping the tank. A Mustang saddle did the trick. Also, sorry, the stock shocks are still not so good. Legends fixed that. And some HD tallboy bars completed the upgraded ergonomics of the situation. There have been another dozen or so enhancements (rear lights, chrome bits, touring windshield, glovebox door), but what I like aesthetically the most is the mix of chrome, polished aluminum, black paint and that minimalist, old-school red bar&shield on the tank. Looks like the 70s, but with that M8 motor it rides like Now!
In the netherland this is not a Bargain Bagger with his price of 29500,00 euro's(luxury taxes). In Belgium the price is 25500,00 euro's and in Germany it is 24895,00 euro's. So big difference prices in Europe. It is not as cheap as in the USA
Sweet, the amount of stock stuff I've pulled off my bike $$$$ and changed to custom. Maybe some day you can order what you want and don't want on any model.
I love the idea of this, I really do. The issue I have is being 6'6" I tested a road glide special and my head was still getting bobbled around. I originally went for a bagger, and came home with a FLSS instead lol
That is one of the perks of a bike like this. The standard is a blank canvas. Lots of people might be interested in this bike just to customize it the way they like. Adding a touring windscreen to this bike would grant a comfortable ride to tall riders :)

Some of us prefer simpler times and machines. Maybe I’d add a stage one kit and buy a passenger seat and foot pegs and call it a day. Hate the open gap in the dashboard. Needs a lid or something.
I think buying a Electra Glide standard better than Street glide because at least we have a mission to upgrade a bike from the bottom. Its like a achievement on every upgrade :)

It really does ride just as great as the big ticket bikes. The only difference I can tell is a slight difference in overall seat height due to the wheel size.
i have had fairing bikes, don't need they radio stuff, worthless speakers at highway speeds, get a road king , better ride, lighter and easier to handle

It's about time they brought back the standard. I had a 2006 and of all the Harley's I've had, it was my favorite.

Love the bike, only thing I think they should have done differently is put the 13" shocks on it instead of the 12's.

These are still belt final drive.
The Harley site says chain. So there must be a chain in there somewhere. I guess you don’t have to lube or clean it. Not too sure though.
