Well this is one where I just held the iPad 5 inches away from my face. I’ll admit when I saw the title didn’t have Breguet in it I was disappointed, but then you see Lange and that feeling quickly goes away. The macro of that enamel work is just sublime. Like you say, something from a Hubble photo of deep space, and then the movement. All the appropriate words I’d come up with apply. I’ve never held one in my hand, but one day. It is the ultimate Xavier watch. Great episode ✊🏻
Haha it is such a lovely watch. The Breguet is coming soon! Probably next week. As I was editing the video the dial was just calling to me again, it is a watch I’ll need to have someday. Hope you can hold one in the near future, especially in the right light because some lighting can blow out the beauty of the dial. Thank for watching Michael!
Been waiting a long time for this video. It most certainly didn't disappoint. Halfway through I was adding up how many watches I could sell to buy this Lange! The closeups showing the variation of blue tones surprised and delighted me. Best part was toward the end when your sheer emotion spoke even more loudly than your words. I'm totally with you on this one. I love it! Lastly, please never speak the words Daniel and Wellington in the same sentence again! Haha Such a pleasure to watch tonight. Thank you.

A Lange Saxonia on a pink rubber strap. I LOVE it. This is my kind of watch for sure. There's not much more I can say than its perfect. There's one thing I'm not a fan of on Lange but I don't think it matters on this is that blue AR. I'm not a fan of AR unless its absolutely clear, here it kind of matches the dial so so what. Anyways you absolutely captured this thing, I've never seen a Lange in such good detail. Great review. And I can't wait to see the Breguet, its one of my top grails.
Haha thanks! The pink strap was very fun. And I agree that the blue ar could be distracting but here it complimented. Glad the video did the Lange a little bit of justice! Breguet should hopefully be out in a week or so.
I love the saxonia thin and it is for me the epitome of a dress watch... Charm within simplicity! The dial on this saxonia is fantastic but I am not sure it pairs well with the nature of an "ultra" dress watch. At the end of the day it is a question of personal taste and I certainly understand why you love it so much. A bit disappointed to see a dent on the hand... Should not be there at this price range. The pairing with the pink silicone is daring but it works. Thanks Xavier for this great video!
You have a very kind friend, especially with how many strap changes you put it through! Just want to highlight that you call the movement material 'silver', but it is in more accurately 'German silver'. Despite the name, there's no actual silver here - it is actually a copper and nickel alloy. Its brassy nature by contrast is very good for watch movement parts as it's relatively easy to decorate, et cetera. Silver by comparison is not a great material for jewellery and it is almost always coated - not unlike white gold (almost always rhodium plated so you don't actually see the gold) as it patinas very quickly.
Thanks for the very comprehensive review and closeups. It disappoints me a little that there’s no hacking seconds but I can’t come up with a reason I’d need it and it is definitely worthwhile if it made the watch thinner. Please ask your friend to bring the watch for servicing 😆 I’m curious if they would polish off the hands and indicators!

If you left the watch in direct sunlight for a very prolonged period of time it could melt essentially and deform a little. Would probably have to leave it outside in very harsh weather for anything to happen so you should be ok day to day

Fair! I haven’t come across a watch that’s perfect so it’s just a matter of ignorance is bliss here. Don’t look close of you don’t want to be disappointed haha
@@theknightswatch I think this is something the industry has told is the norm but shouldn't be. You're not using a microscope. They do use loupes when finishing as many videos show. And the finishing is what puts the extra zero in the price tag. I think this has just confirmed my suspicion that higher end watches are somewhat scammy. Sad.
@@misteratoz the extra price isn’t necessarily from the perfect hand finishing it really comes from the fact that there is more human hand involved rather than a machine. Yes the finishing is part of it, and if you compare the watch to a Timex it’s clearly better finished but there are finishing returns depending on the price. This watch and “ultra luxury” watches aren’t for everyone
@@theknightswatch either that hands are changed or touched after service or its dirt on glass and you think its a dent on the hands....i cant see anything on my hands with a loup.

The aventurine glass alone is very eye-catching, but for my personal preference I would pick the regular argenté dial instead.
