Piss in a bottle of shit In a bag unless there’s a toilet nearby lmao.
60 miles from your last stop to the building is bananas. I thought 16 miles was bad lol....
As a new applicant that applied for the seasonal driver position. I have an upcoming driver's test appointment with the supervisor for UPS, would you know by any chance if they expect you to know a pre-trip inspection on the truck before the driving test begins or is the pre-trip inspection demonstrated?
I’d like to know this as well
Do you load your own truck ? Or is it pre loaded for you?
We have pre loaders!
I’m surprised you don’t get fired !
In my center if they see that we have videos of inside the truck with peoples personal info That’s it for a driver.
Good luck!
@Randywithups Is the lunch break unpaid and you said you do have to take one right?
I work in an Amazon warehouse and it sucks. Getting paid pocket change with zero benefits until they switch you over to full time which could take forever. Do I need to start in a warehouse at ups and move my way up to driver or can I apply for one immediately?
I got hired on straight into driving so I think it just depends on your area and if their hiring!
Hey love the video. Do you have to load all the delivery’s before your shift
Hey bud gotta say I love how you post your life as a ups driver just to help a little more better, I said that because I currently work at ups and I live in Oklahoma as well. What part of Oklahoma do you live?
How do you sort your truck? Does the scanner have the gps stops for you or is it all memorized?
I just got hired off the street with UPS as a driver, but i have a couple years experience as a driver with Amazon. My first day with UPS is October 4th!
How is it at ups?
How do you navigate and know where the stops are. At FedEx we use ground cloud which shows them all on a map which is handy
There’s a thing called a cradle which holds our scanner and it’s a gps!
So do you have to load your truck on the morning or is it all ready to go when you get there
I believe I saw a video a while back showing ups warehouse associates loading the trucks.
Does UPS have vans or they let u choose?
Are u assigned different trucks or the same one depending on how many packages u have to deliver?
Iirc all the trucks are the same size
@@Mustang2048no they are not. Most centers have a van or 2 for random stuff. Package cars are different sizes from p500 to P1200s. Then there’s the 24 foot box truck
I swear every UPS driver i see has that mustache 😂
How long did you do warehouse work until you became a driver? I’ve been doing warehouse for about 9 month just did seasonal driving was hoping to get out in but got sent back to hub lol
I never did warehouse I got hired straight into driver in 2018!!
I did 3 months preload then started as a driver
What's the top out pay scale and entry pay scales? I'm in a different profession but am curious what the potentials are. Hrly rate + bennies and what OT checks look like. Ive heard they are pretty good
I just made a brand new video over this I uploaded it today!! It has all the details!!
It depends on your contract which differs all over the country.
Hey Randy thanks for the great insight and content you put out. I would like to know if you have to start off as a loader if so how long?
I appreciate your video. I'm a new driver. I start Monday!! Any tips for day 1s.
Get ready to give people hundreds of packages every day. Over & over again.
start practicing carrying a 40 lb cat litter up 10 flights of stairs
@@eddiew2325 dog food too.
How do you know what package goes to where and the order with that load so tight in the back. Might be stupid question but I’m in the hiring process.
I can't do that when I was a package car driver here in metro NY NJ thanks god I'm in Feeders now good luck 🙏
Nice!!
Thanks for the video man, informative.
How many times do you need to reboot your DIAD? I average six times a day. And now we have to take pictures of our deliveries. There's nothing that slows you down more than the DIAD6.
When driving to different residential and commercial areas what kind of gps is used? Do you just look up the address on your phone and use a maps app? Or is there a specific gps system?
The intro = 🏆
How are you wearing just a t shirt?? It’s 25 in Michigan and I’m BUNDLING UP lol
You can't always go to the gym during lunch break right? Cause you would have to be near your/a gym already
There’s a gym on my route I go to on my lunch break
Do y’all load your own truck ? At the post office we sort, scan , load , and deliver. It’s too much . I’m looking to switching to the ups.
How long it take to recouping package
Ups drivers have their trucks loaded by the preload shift that comes in before drivers go out
