@@cowabungakev I'd say any soil with ph being over 7.5 is alkaline soil. But I don't think poppy's need alkaline soil. Any soil with ph of 6 or above will work fine (6.5-7.5 probably the best range). Just make sure the soil if well-drained and they are planted in full sun. They need plenty of it.

Watering depends on the growing conditions and the stage of plants. They will require more frequent watering once they start to produce flowers. Make sure the soil is moist at all times. The best time to water zinnias is in the morning. Water them throughly and don’t water again before the top 1cm of the soil is dry. 🌱🍀
That depends on where You live. If you want to start seeds indoors and have plants ready after the risk of frost is gone, then start the seeds 4-6 weeks before last frost date in your area. If you want to sow seeds directly to where the plants are going to grow, then sow when there is not risk of frost anymore. Zinnias love warmth.
I buy tons of zinnia seeds from dollar tree every year and planted them all over my yard. They’re one of my favorites. They’re so beautiful.

@@Liap Very well said and thank you for the fertilizing technique you use yourself. I am gonna begin growing Poppy's and it recommended I use a high alkaline soil and not an acid soil. Is there any info you could give me on any tips regarding what an alkaline soil is? And is that entirely necessary? Not sure if my current soil is efficient enough.
@@Liap Incredible. You break it down so fine and to the T. Thanks for being so fun to talk with and learn from. I have taken note of your input on the Soil type and fertilizing technique.
@@cowabungakev I thank you too 🙂
Thanks for the video, I'm going to try this now :) Question, do you think they will look nice in front of a hedge?
Definitely! They will make the hedge look more alive especially when all the bees will be attracted to their flowers.
Thank you very much for watching and taking time to leave a comment 🙂

I have a question about watering water, when and how much. The leaves always turn yellow and die, and how much time is in the sun? Thanks
Watering depends on the growing conditions and the stage of plants. They will require more frequent watering once they start to produce flowers. Make sure the soil is moist at all times. The best time to water zinnias is in the morning. Water them throughly and don’t water again before the top 1cm of the soil is dry. 🌱🍀
Zinnias grow and flower best in full sun 🌞🌼🌸
I have a problem with some leaves turning yellow. What is the problem and the solution? Thank you
Pl inform about its growing time means name of month when we should start growing this flower.
How many seeds did you put in each pot?
Hello. 3-5 seeds 🙂
