I think the single thing that made me think "the world is much bigger than this small insignificant robot" was seeing how the beast died. Genuinely gave me a little chill, paired with the music in that moment. We get to see a lot of places that look interesting, and might have some bigger meaning to them, but that moment alone really puts into perspective how little we (and, perhaps, the robot) actually know. Or need to know. Because that's not why we're here, and that's not why the robot is here. The robot is here to deliver a package. And we are here to watch that, and only that. Nothing more.
@@itsyeeoledskoolfurry3208it's like Little Nightmares, we as Six just want to find safe place, don't really care about the surrounding anymore. But we as a player, third person perspective really want to see what's going on in that world but we're stuck bc we're supposed to be in that kid's perspective. So what's happening around Six is a mystery and that's what make it's so creepy. The unknown
I feel like the way it was represented at the end was that the robot was actually nothing more than a delivered vesel, which is honestly so heartbreaking but so well done, really plays into existential horror type vibe Excellent work
@@Rowanthecartoon I'd consider being able to hibernate for an indefinite amount of time without the active need to consume resources nor degradation of the body to be in the "superpower" category. When we wait, we still age, our cells still die and rebuild, and we still need a decent energy source within hours before minimal negative effects begin to happen. From what I've noticed, that was not much of a factor for the little bot. And not to mention his - as far as we've seen - invincibility.
Came here from Capsules, MAN the consistency in your quality is unreal. I freaking love this, you’re doing an incredible job! I really think these are going to explode soon, brace yourself for even more love!
Incredible short film. I was drawn in the entire time by this cute lil' delivery robot and the whole concept of using time to his advantage. It was also interesting seeing the thing he took for granted choke him by the neck at the end of it all, but I'm glad he made it. Fantastic stuff!
Oh my god… that was genuinely beautiful. I find myself caring so much about the little robot getting to its destination despite not knowing why it even needed to get there. This story was told so beautifully and animated beautifully as well. You hit all the emotions and it’s truly incredible! So so inspiring.
I feel like this film was inspired by the flash game called 400 years where you are a stone statue that can sleep to pass time, (it being the main mechanic of the game to pass over obstacles).
I love the little man. My favorite characters are little robot guys that don’t speak, yet are incredibly cute. Good job! Oh, also… something about really good storytelling… some stuff like that. Definitely… definitely got here pretty soon after the video released…
This is amazing!! Beautiful animation, and you made me really feel for the little guy, all with no dialogue. I love the world this exists in too, very compelling 😁
This reminds me of that one game where you play as a stone statue and have to wait in place for the terrain to change around you. Can’t swim? Wait till the water freezes over. Can’t jump over this ravine? Wait till nearby village builds a bridge. I think it was called 400 years
It's finally out! Absolutely beautiful, the music, animation, backgrounds, and world, I love everything about this little short! I look forward to your next projects!
AGHHH this is so amazing. I loved every second of it. The robot is SO ADORABLE, the story was so compelling and interesting even though nothing was said... and aghhh the climax was just stunning. Thank you so much for making this film this really inspires me. ❤❤❤❤❤
Wow Just, wow Man, how do you manage to create such a compelling world with extremely loveable characters all while investing me in it in SUCH a short amount of time? I've just watched Capsules and it was already brilliant, but this? A whole emotional-rollercoaster story that felt like a full episode of some show? Without even a single word?! You have to be a very talented person to be able to do that Anyways, I just want to say that what you create is amazing, and I will definitely stay here for more!
little robot on a big and draining mission, in hopes of finishing it before time does, even though it'll have little impact. such an oddly bittersweet and intriguing concept :)
so fun! excellent expressions and character movement. I so loved the still of terror at the monster attack. Very playful use of trope and wonderfully limited information at the end
that was so interesting taking a simple idea of delivering something and making it so engaging to watch, you did a really great job, and I would love to see this idea materialize into a series
This short film is absolutely beautiful. The pacing is fantastic, the music is near perfection and the world building is immense. I would love to see much more from this world. Thank you for sharing this with us Shemmet. Have a wonderful day.
I find it so interesting that in your description you talk about polish and being able to do more granted time and how somethings could have been better and I don't doubt you could have, however I think what you have made is fantastic. I don't think I have ever seen a short film that has made me go WOAH WOW as much as this. I am awestruck by the amount of effort and skill this must have took I cannot stress how awesome this is. Keep up the good work you're doing great
crying the little guys destination is called home and i honestly dont see that as a fond thing Im not sure if the robot knew its purpose, or why it needed to get there, but it did. and to name it home when the little guy might not be used again feels heartbreaking to me
reminds me of an old indie game where you are a stone golem traversing the world, every obstacle you would have to wait for it to dissapear or you would have to use time to your advantage. like planting a tree infront of a big mountian, that you would wait for it to grow, then you could climb the tree and get on top of the mountian, and so on. at the end of the game, you jumped into a volcano (sacrificing yourself)that was about to explode to stop it from destroying the entire world, its animals, plants, and humans! did i forget to mention you watch humans flourish too? if you wait too long while solving the puzzles the volcano explodes early killing everything but, ironically, you.
Holy smokes this and Capsules were both incredible. You've got some real talent for storytelling and worldbuilding - not to mention stellar animation quality, hot dang! Thank you for sharing this with us, this is awesome.
this reminds me of a game i played a long time ago where you play as a statue man that moves around and does this exact thing waiting till rivers dry or flow or vines to grow or die. its all within the essence of time which i find very interesting. i love your animations keep up the good work. yes ik I'm a year early but I'm compelled to say thank you for making such a good animation. and if you see this message even though you made this a year ago. thank you.
ahhh shemmet I love this! you've come so far since the #creative days, amazing to see these ideas literally in motion. This narrative is very cute and tense too, I love the juxtaposition of time trial with near-endless time to complete it, and it's utterly stunning how this story is told without words.
This is amazing! I am astonished that it doesn’t have more views. It’s very sad how the algorithm doesn’t know how to recognize and promote true talent.
Oh my god, that is genuinely amazing, i'd love to see this as a full series. Been searching for any media i could find with this vibe. Pure landscapes with an accent on them, appreciation of blending structures with unknown purposes into nature, thus implying there were there for a long time, and why - you can only think. And a irony of a simple character, about whose destiny you were thinking about. What is that so important thing he needs to do at the end of that timer? And, just a box delivery. Perfect breaking of a glass. Strong representatives of that "genre/vibe/whatever" is Blame!. Rain world. Reminds of Hyper light drifter and etc...
Because its titles sleep mode i at first thought it might have something to do with when we put our devices on sleep mode, but as far as the delivery aspect i imagine this is what it was like for pizza delivery drivers when they had those 30 minutes or its free offers.
Great job choosing where you needed to add a little motion and where you can leave still. Even the bits without any movement only lasted long enough to look at everything. The foliage changing color by location/season was great for making it feel like lots of distance has been traveled on an intuitive level instead of relying on the distance to the destination display changing.
This was insanely good in all aspects. I’m gonna be a freshman at ccs this fall majoring in entertainment arts (animation) and this is making me a lot more excited about going to the school!
i wonder if a game would ever be made with this kind of idea where you switch time to change reality so you can get past obstacles (ik there's a game out their like this but maybe one day their will be a game like that with this art style)
Stay tuned for my senior film coming this spring :D
It's gonna be great
:0
As it would turn out, it was better than great.
why does he need a caster
how did he make a caster without arms?
I came here FROM your senior project! I love this world you're building!

This was really compelling. It feels rare to find a solo animator that has such good storytelling instincts as well.
All the little guy did was deliver a package on time but that's its only goal so it means the world to it. So cute.
Out of all the places I expected to see an inv pfp, this is the last. Definitely welcome, though!
I love that his superpower is....waiting!
Not really a superpower. If it is a superpower we all have it. No it's ability is to go into sleep mode, not to wait.
Also have a nice day

Seems like a cool game concept
Not a single word said and yet I'm so intrigued by the little robot and the world that surrounds it. Phenomenal story.
This deliverybot deserved 10 of 5 stars.
Casually just drops a MASTERPIECE!!!
Took that little guy 12 wholeass years to deliver that package. Poor thing.
for context it'd take ~190 days to walk from the bottom of Africa to the most northeast part of Russia without sleeping.

Надо было сменить название на "почта России"
