There is nothing cheap about utilizing 3D. Tools are tools. An artist's comparitive value shines in what they are able to communicate through their art, and you got that part covered
Capsules was easily one of my favorite indie animated concepts I stumbled upon this year, and I'm so excited for what stuff you cook up next! This BTS is bound to be great, strapping in for this one.
As someone whos currently still in the middle of art school this was such a nice condensed behind the scenes of your film!! I look forward to a future series of CAPSULES and getting to know more about the world Hudsen and Led live in. All very cool, keep up the amazing work man!
Hey man, not to get sappy, but I want to say thank you for everyone who enjoys capsules. This has been my biggest inspiration by far for both my art school journey and my stories. Thank you ❤
I absolutely love this film and I really love getting to learn about this world. I'm really excited to see more from this world. The little bits of story we have gotten are very interesting. I would definitely watch this as a full show. I also love the fact that you use Wii sports resort island backgrounds. I’m also a big fan of robots with non-humanoid faces which is one of the reasons I love this short film so much. And also using 3D tools to help make your art is not “cheap” whatsoever, trust me I suck at angles and constantly need to use 3D rooms I build either in something. Very simple rooms but still there’s nothing “cheap” about it! ^_^
Tysm for answer my question about the lore! I would love to see Capsules as a show that would be amazing! It was also so good to see your creative process since I’d hope to do something similar someday
capsules is my favorite animation I've ever seen and i hope this does continue and you would get many people loving it and actually get the subscribers you disserve for all this hard work
Super cool to get some insight into how you tackle such a big project! As a Blender user, you using a brick game for keeping geometry consistent is very clever! I love the fish title cards, too!
I know you probably hear this a lot but i love capsules!! and it deserves the attention it gets. it was exiting to hear a little about the world, and also they have names !! (at one point you show a clip of the short fim meowmix, anyone reading, it’s worth the watch!!)
this was so inspiring to watch!! i've been struggling for the past week to finish my uni short film storyboard but this has restored my motivation, thank you sm for showing your process! capsules is such an incredible project I can't wait to see more of your world
Genuinely your work inspires me so so much I relate to you incredibly on having a big dream of being able to create a whole show with my own characters the thought of it gets me so happy I love your characters and the thought of how much worldbuilding behind them excites me so much and I cannot tell you how invested I am in your creations and personally I am the biggest robot fan ever I have rambled for actual hours about how much I love robots as a concept and their infinite potential for character designs and writing philosophy and to see an entire world completely populated by robots where the main premise is losing yourself in favour of optimization that idea just gets me so giddy and I cannot wait to see more of what you have in store
I have been waiting for this video without knowing it, and I'm so happy it's out! :D I'm so impressed by the care and thought put into the animation. One of my top favorites on youtube. Thank you for your masterpiece :D
Dude, it's been so long since I watched Capsules, but now I just want to go back and watch it all over again. I remember loving it and finding it super cool! The characters were great, the world was beautiful, and well, honestly I really am hoping that I'll get to see more stuff for it from you soon. I wish I was fluent enough in other languages, but I might just give that other dub a try. Might be fun! Keep it up, I hope I can do something similar when my own senior project rolls around - though I'd be designing a video game instead. I gotta say too, I love it when I get to see what goes in to cool stuff like this. Neat that you used the block game, I'll have to check it out sometime. And honestly, I think that made for some pretty cool designs!
It is so cool to see your process, I'm going into thesis soon, and while I'm not creating a short it's still unbelievably helpful to see how you go around time management and organization. Looking forward to seeing more from you in the future! :)
Really really really REALLY love your stuff hope you make it far man. Everything you make is a massive inspiration to me and others. Can’t put it into words but thank you for creating animations and all of this, I really love your stuff.
Thank you so much for taking the time to make this video to show fans and fellow artists like me your process! I cant watch the entire video at the moment but this film is the one thing that gave me the last push into deciding to do an art career despite how badly things are looking in the industry right now, becuase theres people out there like you who are insanely passionate about what they do and put out these amazing animated films, and I hope to do that too!! I cant wait to see what the future holds for these silly robo bois,,
Loved the video! I recently finished Mob Psycho 100 season 3 and I'm overjoyed to see that you like it too. Very informative and I think I will be adopting some of your processes for projects of mine in the future, I hope that you continue to make great things :D
Hello! For the dub... i think... french could be cool. Im french/English and my friends are mostly french... if i want them to apreaciate your film (Which i aspire to do something a like one day) i think its probably a good idea to do it in french too... anyways, i probably want to try voice acting one day, and a friend of mine as well. So uh... idk.. FRENCH DUB? I could help writing the translation to french if you wanna ✌️😝👍
was going to say the same thing but my voice does not really match Hudson's and I don't have any decent recording device :'( I wish you luck if you ever do work on it!
i wanna start a series on my yt channel where i anilize animations on yt to help teach animation. i wanted to ask if its ok if i anizlize some parts of capsules (as a yt vid)
Just out of curiosity, have you considered Krita for animation? it has a huge variety of features you can use such as onion skins, storyboarding and timeline! its really helpful and easy! Obv stick to what brings your best work, however krita does have a lot to offer in regards of animation purposes!
i've actually uesd krita a couple times in the past, it's nice but i think i'm gonna stick with CSP and TVPaint, it's just what i'm used to and they seem to be a little more capable. thank you for your kind words!
Capsules reminds me of something I’d find as a child and would constantly talk about only to be met with a blank stare
its like those old anmations that you dont even understand until u remember it randomly years later
There is nothing cheap about utilizing 3D.
Tools are tools. An artist's comparitive value shines in what they are able to communicate through their art, and you got that part covered
wise words, very much appreciated

love the short, can't wait for more!
The capsules video is genuinely an amazing short film and I would love to see something one day that continues this universe or idea.
I certainly intend on continuing it!
Using REFERENCE is NOT cheap. It’s smart. Doesn’t matter if it is photo video or 3D.
obligated by law to immediately sit down and watch whatever capsules content comes my way
As someone whos currently still in the middle of art school this was such a nice condensed behind the scenes of your film!! I look forward to a future series of CAPSULES and getting to know more about the world Hudsen and Led live in. All very cool, keep up the amazing work man!
