I thought this was about immigration. Foreigner, struggling to speak the same dialect as locals, others don't respect him as he tries to establish a business and create a fresh start, sort of thing. But there will always be others in similar situations as you and it's the adversity each of face that bonds you even more.
Aww, a big, gentle-seadragon trying to make his way in an unfamiliar place, good to see he found a friend! :D This was absolutely spectacular! Animation, music, designs, the whole shebang! ^.^
oh i actually cried over how happy they are talking over the phone and everything throughout the credits, Just a beautiful short with wonderful animation and designs that made me feel something for the first time in a while,
The animation is great and very touching, though it's kind of bittersweet, since the only comfort the main character finds is in a limited group of others just like him, after all his effort to reach out and belong as equals with everybody.
This was so beautiful!! This is so reminiscent of how immigrants are treated when they first arrive in a whole new place, they can't speak the language and have trouble communicating with the locals. And as such, in some cases, seen as a "monster" the outcast. I really enjoyed how you conveyed those feelings with mythal creatures, and held on at the end with another dragon being kind to him and becoming close friends. Man I really needed to see this. Reminds us to never judge a book by its cover, especially if there a shy giant lovable dragon trying to fit in🥰💖🙏🏻

There will come a time, if humanity persists, when countless people will envy the era we live in. When all of us were together. Before we spread out so very far and wide, before the population becomes an unknowable number. And they will regret what impact they might have had, if only they had lived at a time when all of civilization was nestled here upon this cradle that is our Earth. And they won't understand how it was, really. They'd see the interconnectedness, the possibilities held within proximity, but probably not the divisions, prejudices, and stubbornness that keep people apart. I know that might not tie to the crisis that I know nothing about, except, maybe, in this one way: I hope we realize how precious this moment in time is, before we lose it. To be better. To come together to solve seemingly insurmountable challenges. And to be kind, wherever and whenever and however we can. Because a century from now, or two, or five, reaching all of our civilization will be an impossibility. And a distant recluse like me would never find an animation like this, and run into someone like you, if you all were so truly distant. Anyway. That sentiment came to mind. It doesn't make a crisis better, I know. It may only make it more bitter, seeing this era wasting so much potential. But that's the wrong way of looking at it, I think. Because we're still all in this together, even if far too many have yet to notice. And because the potential for an individual to shape and amend our civilization will only diminish from here on out, it means there's still time for us to get it right for /all/ who follow. And whatever we do, for good or for ill, we will never have more power than we do here and now. Case in point: Thousands of miles away, and a month later, I'm going to learn about what's going on with Peru. It's virtually certain I can't do a thing about it. But life has a funny aspect to it, where the littlest of gestures can end up changing entire life trajectories. And besides, with 8 Billion people on Earth, the sum of all human experience and knowledge increases 22,000,000 years worth of advancement, every single day; that's a billion human-years (like "man hours") of experiences accumulated every 45 days. Whatever problem one runs into, there's a virtual certainty someone, somewhere has solved it. And any solution you find, someone, somewhere probably needs it. It's just a matter of connections, and humans are great at that. ^.-

I love this film! It kinda hits close to me as an Autistic individual with a non-human complex. I’m glad I happened across this and got to see it in this limited window! It’s so wonderful! Sometimes, all you need is a friend to keep you anchored through the initial tough times.
What a such cute and wonderful animation! I really love that big, gentle, innocent seadragon making his way in an unknown place for him, and I almost cried when everyone laughed at him. But I ended up crying anyways when he made a friend of his same species, hanging out with his new dragon friend, and sitting together on the beach looking at the stars~♡ I hope to see more of this duo living in a human town. It deserves a long animation or more short episodes~
What a cute little animation, in just 4 minutes its already made me feel a connection and made me feel emotions, not many people can do that this well through their art but you have. Love the characters design too they are very nice on the eyes! Sometimes we always feel a little homesick and unwelcomed but remember that you aren't and there are always people there for you even if it feels like they're hidden away sometimes you just have to push yourself a little to find them.
Oh my goddess... when they were afraid and others were laughing, it hurt my heart, but the beauty of the ending made me cry all over again for the best of reasons! This is an incredibly lovely story, and it needs to be seen by more people! Be you an immigrant, on the spectrum, on the rainbow, disabled, or a minority of any other kind, you deserve kindness and decency, and finding others like yourself can be a beautiful blessing in a world that is often harsh and cruel.
I love the part at 1:59, just drawing attention to the physicality being a scaled creature for a second, with no reason other than to do so, it honestly just fills me with joy. I think this is one of my favorite animated shorts on the platform, mostly because of how much of the story and feeling is told through animation touches, like the one mentioned, or how the humans see the mc, or how the humans are portrayed in simplified way suggesting they are being seen by someone who isn't used to their faces. Even if the conflict and resolution isn't particularly sophisticated, it doesn't matter cause the story has already been told through its presentation.
I felt this animation almost on a personal level I was shunned and laughed for my job path constantly being dont "people with autism and ADHD can be chefs" because i was different Its been about 5 years now and im still standing strong
I know that the short is going offline on the 18th, but if you're able, please keep it online a bit longer. I's very lovely, and it would be a bit of a shame to see it leave so soon.
God, this is so heartwarming. Especially to people who are foreigners, feeling like you belong in an entirely new country is a lot harder than others give credit for. The language barrier, the customs, the people. Whenever I hear people making fun of certain accents it makes me so mad because they don’t understand what it’s like living in a new place and trying your absolute hardest to learn an entirely new language. I especially (personally) see this with some of the kids I’ve went to school with, usually white kids whose first language was English. They just can’t comprehend what it’s like for them, because a lot of them have lived in the same place their entire lives. Plus, a lot of the time English speakers are never expected to learn other languages, even if they are outside of English speaking countries. It just makes me frustrated when they feel others need to bend backwards for their needs, but not do the same for anyone else. Of course, that doesn’t apply for everyone, but it’s a frustrating pattern.
This has made me incredibly emotional incredibly fast over very small details, I applaud you, what a masterpiece I love these guys and would love to see more of them in the future!!
As someone possessing the experience of being high functioning, while being on the further end of the austin spectrum, this film really hit close to home. Anytime I step outside, I have to wear a hat and sunglasses to not be overestimated. This gives me an unorthodox apprence, people assume I'm just a sketcky character because of the hat and glassess, i just want to have community. It has been a long time since I've seen such related themes presented in media so incredibly effectively. Subbed
Your animation is incredible! I would love to see more! I relate to this so much. And the fact that it's a blue scaly creature means more than you think.
*"Some people... they'll never accept him..."* disappointed nodding turns to hopeful smiling~ *"But it seems like... he's found someone that'll help him find the good ones."* (Yes, LUCA, and this short is much closer to how I think the movie could/should have ended. Wonderfully executed, FER~CI. Mer~ci beaucoup~!)
I do thinks that this is a very good bit of animation storytelling piece and nice arts i likes seeing artist creative ideas good luck with your work and craft
Lovely designs and the story is touching, it is sad that only someone of his own kind reached out to him, however. It is unexpectedly a good example of how society ostracizes what it refuses to understand.
I would love a whole series building this kind of world. I love the Draconic language. It sounds like a mix of the dragonspeak from Dragons of Wayward Crescent/The Last Dragon Chronicles and something real.
I dont mind being late to the party-- this is very heartwarming and i love it!! As someone who grew up with a lot of Portuguese heritage, I've definitely been on the end of the red dragon before. an american butcher or baker can try, sure. but its not the same. its never the same... some of my fondest sociocultural memories have been at the fish market, its lovely to see, lovely to hear. Thank you so much for this now permanently public work of art
What a delightful little film! I'm glad I had this show up on my timeline. I made sure to share this with my own friends so they could watch it as well!
I think this has a point to make about immigrants. The feeling of loneliness and alienation but the meeting of a friendly face from a known world eases the pain one feels from Isolation. All in all, good film.

What a such cute and wonderful animation! I really love that big, gentle, innocent seadragon making his way in an unknown place for him, and I almost cried when everyone laughed at him. But I ended up crying anyways when he made a friend of his same species, hanging out with his new dragon friend, and sitting together on the beach looking at the stars~♡
I hope to see more of this duo living in a human town.
10/10!!! BEST MONSTER LOVE SHORT! Its so refreshing to see an animation where the monster/ creature finds peace and belonging.
i love how they the dragon...hehe.their word are pretty good
2:58 the dragon crying had me crying :( poor dragon. Just trying to make a living and being kind and wanted a friend ;-;
WE'RE SO BACK
funnies aside, this animation is so amazing, i love it to bits
Why is this only being recommended to me now? This is the kind of content I want to see!
An amazing metaphor for anyone othered by society
This is so god damn cool, I want to buy every fish he got just to make him happy
I want more of him it’s such a good story so far and I would love to see more
I felt this animation almost on a personal level
I was shunned and laughed for my job path constantly being dont "people with autism and ADHD can be chefs" because i was different
Its been about 5 years now and im still standing strong
0:30 “oh no. Your one of the, furrys aren’t you” I bet they said
BAHA
THIS IS SO CUTE, OH MY GOODNESS!! Definitely one of my favorite animations ever!! ❤
Congrats to eveyone involved!!
This is amazing! I honestly wanna see another part to it. Please continue making animations like this one! ❤
Tbh at first I thought at 3:37 the reason he looked down and was scared was because he realized he had no pants on-
I know that the short is going offline on the 18th, but if you're able, please keep it online a bit longer.
That goes straight to the Animation Inspiration playlist!
That ending, muh heart...
The sound, art, voices, everything just clicks so well together
Hope you make more wonderful works of art like this in the future
this is. aboslutely amazing and describes how social anxiety is perfectly, i want more of this character now
This has made me incredibly emotional incredibly fast over very small details, I applaud you, what a masterpiece I love these guys and would love to see more of them in the future!!
i would watch a movie like this
Beautiful, would love to see this as a series lol. Dragon just running his small business trying to get by, would be epic ngl.
I cannot explain how much I love this
As someone possessing the experience of being high functioning, while being on the further end of the austin spectrum, this film really hit close to home.
2:48-3:00 is how my head feels all too often in public places. Its interesting to see that from an outward perspective.
I would honestly love for this to be turned into a series such an amazing work of art
They should make this a series by the way these characters designs are awesome love the art style
Goodbye to this masterpiece of an animation in less than a minute from now
This makes my heart melt. I keep rewatching it so I can remember as much as I can before it goes down for a whole year!
This was so adorable! The doodle-y style of animation looks really smooth and I adore it!
Man... This is so good. Idk what to say
*"Some people... they'll never accept him..."*
disappointed nodding turns to hopeful smiling~
*"But it seems like... he's found someone that'll help him find the good ones."*
(Yes, LUCA, and this short is much closer to how I think the movie could/should have ended.
This video made my night so much better. Thank you!
I would love a whole series building this kind of world. I love the Draconic language. It sounds like a mix of the dragonspeak from Dragons of Wayward Crescent/The Last Dragon Chronicles and something real.
What cool animations and story!!!
The animation is very impressive! Great job! And the story is pretty great, I just like how these cute dragons intact with one another.
I love these tiny animated films i find every once in a while on TH-cam each one is always great to watch
That’s so damn amazing! Best animation I have seen all year!
This is super cute and very cool. I adore thr colour and the emotion this carries. Awesome job!
I've gotten here just a few minutes before it looks like this is gone and I'm glad to have seen it, the algorithm got it right just in time
Its sad that this short will go offline in a day, so please keep it up!
This is more emotional in 4 minutes than a lot of movies manage in 2 hours. I want to be his friend and hug him.
Beautiful! I hope this continues.
Amazing and cute animation!! I loved it so much. Poor guy just wanted to fit in
What a delightful little film! I'm glad I had this show up on my timeline. I made sure to share this with my own friends so they could watch it as well!
This was so precious I LOVE IT and the sound design is amazing!
I relate to this a lot. It is so heartwarming. Wonderful animated video ^^ Thank you for making it!
I want this to be a series so bad oh my god-
I think this has a point to make about immigrants. The feeling of loneliness and alienation but the meeting of a friendly face from a known world eases the pain one feels from Isolation. All in all, good film.
