  • How to create a rotating 3D logo in Camtasia 2021, from a flat image file? In Camtasia 2021, although you don't have 3D effects and 3D space, you can still simulate the 3D movement or rotation of objects and with a little bit of creativity, we can import a flat image (such as a logo, avatar, etc) and move it in 3D, rotate it, add motion and light effects to it, to make it look quite realistic and professional.
    In this Camtasia logo animation tutorial, I'm showing you how to create a spinning 3D logo effect with a nice transition in, transition out, light beam effect for a glossy aspect, from two spotlights, motion blur, everything. The spinning logo created in this tutorial can be superimposed onto any other clip or image and it will show through the image because it's a transparent / PNG image that you import the first time.
    I am also covering how to make this a reusable asset and how to replace the logo so that you only create the animation effect once and you can reuse it with other logos or objects, to create brand animations, intros, overlays and more.
    Chapters in this video:
    00:00 Introduction
    00:22 What we will create
    00:31 Importing the logo
    01:27 Source logo requirements
    03:27 Creating the main animation
    08:42 Creating 3D extrusion or depth
    18:02 Adding the glossy glass light effect
    27:22 Replacing the logo with another one

      @@Graphicious I saw that at the end. Great tutorial. Long one but if you spend time on creating 1 asset it is easy and fast to duplicate in future productions. That is why I don’t mind the long form videos. It is a force multiplier.

    Hey Cristi, is it possible in Camtasia to do a horizontal scroll of text on the screen? Like when you watch a news channel there is a bar at the bottom of the screen with news updates.

    Hey Cristi, The logo animation you created in this video is AMAZING!!
    Have you done a video showing how to play video in reverse with Camtasia? I've been interested in that feature for years but, other than getting some other editing software to reverse individual clips to be imported into Camtasia, haven't seen anything. I'm glad to have discovered a true Camtasia guru... thanks for your excellent Camtasia content!

      Hi Matt, thank you for your kind feedback! Unfortunately, Camtasia does not do reverse video yet. I know a lot of people ask for that functionality but they have not added it yet. Maybe it makes it into Camtasia 2022, who knows? In the meantime, like you, I also use external tools when I need that but it's quite rare as I don't need it that much. Just curious, what scenarios would you need the video reverse functionality?

    • @NextLevelCarpentry
      @NextLevelCarpentry 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Graphicious I was playing around with reverse video for projects like this: th-cam.com/video/r_yEwlsYGbU/w-d-xo.html I obviously need more practice producing the clips to be reversed but, since the reversing process is so cludgy outside Camtasia, gave up on the idea. Here's another one that shows potential IMHO but, lacking ability to iterate efficiently, is still pretty rough:
      th-cam.com/video/r_yEwlsYGbU/w-d-xo.html
      Thanks for your 'interest' in this obscure feature...

    • @Graphicious
      @Graphicious  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      To save some time and needing to watch the whole two videos at 10 PM, could you indicate the timestamp where you have the reversed segments? I can't see it.

    • @NextLevelCarpentry
      @NextLevelCarpentry 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Graphicious Sure... should have already done that for you! Immediately after I snap my fingers at this point I transition between forward video and reverse: th-cam.com/video/TYQaauKEPVI/w-d-xo.html
      One problem I was having was degradation of image quality because it ended up more pixelated after going though the reversing process... reversing seems like such a simple thing to do from a coding standpoint that I've been surprised that Camtasia hasn't added it as an upgrade by now. BTW there's no urgency to my question here so don't throw off you schedule on my behalf, OK? 😎

    • @Graphicious
      @Graphicious  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you! I just tested and the motion blur effect requires 3D graphics hardware. If your hardware acceleration is turned off or you don't have a good graphics card, it won't work. Go to Edit > Settings > Advanced and make sure the graphics card is on. Restart Camtasia and then see if it works. If you only see "software-only mode" or that's the setting, it won't work.

    I would love a video of moving from Camtasia Windows to Camtasia Mac. Is there an easier way? What do I need to know to flatten the learning curve.

    • @Graphicious
      @Graphicious  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Scott, I don't think there should be a massive learning curve in this transition from Windows to Mac. Techsmith seems to favor the Windows variant more, because it seems to have more features and more polished, but for the features that the Mac version does have, they should behave pretty much the same way. And the interface is almost identical.
      Feature parity is an issue, as some things are missing or different, but nothing in a major way.
      If you already have projects that you created on Windows and want to open on Mac, you must go to the Windows version and export those projects 'for Mac'. Then you should be able to open them.
      Are there any problems you have encountered with the Mac version that are not solvable yet?

    Everything works great - except I have a background on my logo, and I can't for the life of me get rid of it. The Png I used did NOT have a background, so what did I miss? Can't I save the project as an mp4 and use it on other videos without a background?

    • @Graphicious
      @Graphicious  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Did you perhaps add a background to the logo group by mistake? Like an annotation? I can't say without seeing what's in there.
      As far as exporting, Camtasia does not support exporting video without background (with alpha channel). You can maybe try to set a bright green background for the whole video, export it like that from Camtasia, then use the green screen removal tool in the other application to remove it (if it has it). That's one thing I wish Camtasia did.

    hello brother when i rener the video my background white how can i save without background video please tell me

    • @Graphicious
      @Graphicious  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Do you mean you want to export with transparent background so you can put the video on top of something else? I’m afraid Camtasia can’t export video with Alpha channel. Maybe make the background green like the chromakey and remove it in your other software?
