  • Learn to create custom shapes and complex, compound annotations in Camtasia, from simple, elementary annotations. Camtasia doesn't have a vector drawing tool, but using the procedures from this Camtasia tutorial, you can combine shapes to create more complex shapes that you can use in your projects, reuse them, add them to the Library and even customise their colour.
    Learn how to take basic shapes and combine them into complex ones, with just a little bit of imagination and a new effect introduced in Camtasia 2021.
    Of course, if you need far more complex shapes than these, you can create them in an external vector graphic tool, but for simple graphics and illustrations, you can stay 100% within Camtasia.
    Chapters:

    Yes, simple explanations for what seemed to be an impossible task. Have made and saved and will use the arrow

      It really is! I try to think first if I can quickly draw a shape in Camtasia and not have to do it in an external program.

    Hi Christi, another great video, thank you very much.
    One request, could you also make a video about the creation and use of voice over in Camtasia and about scripting for Camtasia videos? Thank you very much.

    • @Graphicious
      @Graphicious  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you! Do you have a specific scenario in mind for the voiceover? What are you struggling with? It would help in order to create a good video about it. Also, as far as scripting, I don't usually script my videos, what you see is usually recorded in ONE go, start to finish.

    Thank you for the great video! Is is possible to save the custom shape for future use? Can you show how?

    • @Graphicious
      @Graphicious  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, you can. Just group the parts (CTRL + G) and add it to your Library. Then you can reuse it in other projects easily.

    I'm very much liking your videos as I am considering purchasing Camtasia. Does your disount link work for US viewers? And then my questions is this: If I made my own custom shape, can I simply import that into a new file/timeline/video? So the goal here would be to create the shape one time, but use it quickly and easily on multiple other videos. TIA!

    • @Graphicious
      @Graphicious  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, yes, the link should work for all customers. It should take you to the US store. And yes, if you create a shape one time, add it to your library and then you can reuse it in any project going forward, straight from your library. Thank you!

    Very helpful. Can the custom shapes be added to the Annotations section of Camtasia? Where do you store them in Camtasia to have access to them for future projects and how do you store them - I didn't see you do this in the video. I don't want to recreate each time, you said you can reuse but I didn't see how or where to physically store the new annotation creations. thank you.

    • @Graphicious
      @Graphicious  ปีที่แล้ว

      You can add them to your library - on the timeline, group them and then right-click to add
