Do you mean to record yourself drawing on a whiteboard? Then sure, you can use Camtasia. But otherwise, Camtasia is not so good as there really isn't any way to create a whiteboard animation directly in Camtasia, at least not that I know of. For that, you would have to look at some software dedicated specifically to whiteboard animation, such as Doodly, for example.

I guess you're talking about a trial for Camtasia, right? Our assets don't have a trial, it's buy once and have a lifetime license with unlimited use It's fine though - you use our video assets with another free software called HitFilm Express - check it out!
13:00 are those the approximate prices? 5-10 usd per scene, if I interpret it correctly. Ok, still easier and cheaper than most alternatives I bet but it is costly to make good video. Esoecially if there are a lot of scenes. Good tutorial though. I learned about the concept of stock animations.

Hi, I tried importing a free animation as a test (the PNG format) and I get a message when trying to import it to Camtasia that I need QuickTime installed for a .mov file to work. Any way around this? I’m using a corporate laptop where I can’t install QuickTime
Try importing the ProRes 4444 version instead, it's the modern codec. You will need the latest version of Camtasia for that, I think it worked fine for Camtasia 2020 and Camtasia 2021. For older versions such as Camtasia 2019 or Camtasia 9, you need the PNG version unfortunately, which is an old and deprecated codec. I just looked at the Videoplasty Stock site. I am embarrassed to ask but what is the difference between Stock Animation, Stock GIFS, and Stock Vectors?
We need to definitely address that somehow on our website, as we get this issue a lot. Those would all be different types of products we offer. 1) Stock Animation - intended for video editing. Compatible with Camtasia and recommended for all things video. 2) Stock GIFs - animated images, intended for PowerPoint/Keynote/Google Slides presentations and/or website design. 3) Stock Vectors - those are static images in vector format. No animation here. Vector means that they're basically infinitely scalable, without losing any quality. Hope this helps!

It's like asking what car to choose :p Personally, I enjoy Camtasia a lot more. It's user-friendly and allows you to record your screen as well, which is incredibly useful! In terms of pricing, I'm not 100% sure, but I think Filmora might be more affordable, so up to you. You can achieve this animation style using stock animation with either one of them :)

So did you download them already? Just to clarify, the issue is when importing the files into Camtasia, right? In that case, please make sure to use the PNG codec we have for the stock animation. I believe the prices we have on VideoPlasty are actually some of the lowest on the market, especially considering how much time and skill goes into making each animation. Not that I would mind recommending competitors, but I honestly don't know anyone else selling exclusively stock animation, which is why we launched VideoPlasty. There are bits of stock animation randomly available on big stock footage websites such as Pond5 or Shutter Stock, you can try there. Also, Pixabay has a lot of free stuff and potentially some animation too, but likely pretty low quality.
I'm afraid I have no experience with that so not sure where to point you. But if I were you, I'd start by searching for "Frame by frame animation tutorial" and see where that brings you :)

As far as I know, VideoPlasty (videoplasty.com) is the only such marketplace out there that focuses exclusively on stock animation. So the chances of finding anything like this for free are close to zero, I would say. As for a tutorial on how to do that yourself, it's not so easy. You would need the Adobe Creative Suite ($70/month) just for the software. Then a minimum of 300h or more of experience in graphic design, animation and character rigging to get started
That's a story for another day, which I won't get into - but just to get a general idea, you need a few hundreds of hours of experience in this learning: - graphic design (design concepts, Adobe Illustrator, color theory, etc.) - motion graphics (After Effects) - character rigging It's possible, but takes too much time and it's not something we are interested in teaching right now!
