- The tS edition was a 1 of 300 Forester never sold in North America. The final step will be purchasing the Asian DCCD 6-Speed and accompanying components to fix Subaru's massive short-coming by never offering this generation with a manual.

Sarah-OEM-Tuned. After watching years of your videos it’s hard to watch any other “build” video. They don’t clean before and after, they don’t use OEM parts and they skip over 80% of the steps. Honestly you have set the bar so high that no one can compete, especially when you add your jokes in. Keep up the amazing work.
Jay is one VERY lucky person. You did a fabulous job on that beautiful Celica and I'm seriously jealous.
Sarah - your editing skills are impeccable, and the time you put into your videos is noticed and appreciated! 😊
Hi sarah, all these ad on's you're doing are awesome & totally necessary to the vison you have in your mind , & yes it look's fuckin nice......the floor well's look mean...
Yeah.. I need to dial it back a tad. Lol I spent all of Thanksgiving day editing this one
@@SarahnTunedyour floor lights look brighter on screen because your camera was increasing exposure due to the mostly dark environment on your shot, your eyes were most likely asborbing light from your shop, this causes your eyes exposure to darkened to compensate for the additional light your camera didn't capture.
You're ability to source parts is bloody amazing and the gumpster diving under the dash... you're a contortionist as well!
After subscribing in 2020, I went back and watched all your previous Gump videos and I am convinced you could make a video of you removing the bumper blindfolded for as many times as you have removed it! Those tags you added showing the screen captures of the instructions pointing to your work are a cool addition… I can’t imagine all the time you put into editing. 😱 As always, thank you, Sarah. 👍👍👍
Yep one of my favorite things about this channel is the attention to detail. And your humor 🤓
Spot on with those lights, Sarah. 🔥 Bang-on with the discussion of the color temperature. Not everyone knows this, but every "white" LED is actually a blue LED with phosphor added. The phosphor fluoresces by the blue light emitted from the LED. Cheaper LEDs tend to appear blue-ish (high Kelvin temp) because the phosphors don't fluoresce in all the spectrum colors (causing the phosphor to seem dimmer), or don't shine nearly as brightly as the diode itself (allowing more blue to shine through). That causes cheaper parts to really show blue, and the Subaru OEM parts to look really sharp on Gump. 👍
Even with home LED light bulbs you have to be careful as to the 'temperature'. Higher Kevlin numbers (daylight 4000+) are best for basements, storage spaces, sometimes kitchens; the lower (2400) for living, dining, bedrooms.
You deserve car giveawayer of the year award for your detail attention effort and excellentness
Wow, life really is a box of chocolates for Forester, huh? So, maybe a little something for the holiday Bubba Gump fund? Congratulate on 600k, perhaps? Least I can do… 😊
You’re my absolute favorite automotive channel on TH-cam. Your sense of humor and knowledge is top shelf amazing!
I feel the same way.
Factory parts are the way to go 👍 they look so much better than aftermarket
Sarah, love seeing the skills you show while giving your most cherished auto family the most love and attention they deserve.
The joy you exude when doing these upgrades is contagious. Nice how Subaru makes it straightforward to install these parts (other than removing intercooler). I've always liked red interior accent lights, sharp looking. I put a red filter in my first new car, '78 Celica GT. Gump keeps getting better and better.
Removing the intercooler is only because I 100% would have broke a nail trying to press that rubber grommet back in at that angle.
@@SarahnTunedA smart move without a doubt. Hitting your head when under the lift is bad enough.
@@SarahnTuned Yes you don't want to break a nail, it can be painful as well as damage the color on them.
Sad to see the Supra go , hope the new owner appreciates the effort that went in to it. Loved part 2 of the Gump videos, waiting for part 3.
Thinking, the Supra was her best looking car so far.....
@@tt-rs1457 Would totally agree if I didn’t own a Mk1 TT similar to the one Sarah re-built in one of her first project. But the Supra was an absolute beauty by the time it was finished, thanks to Sarah hard work.
oh my! i'm first? just want to say much respect to you young lady! i get a kick out of your videos. thanks
Can't wait for the manual swap
You can see it in your eyes you didn't want to let it go. Onward and upwards from here!
Turkey salad from Australian fan 😊
Glad you got the leather center hood cover installed! It's such a nice upgrade, it should have been factory.
I just think that's it's so cool that I'm literally 5 miles away from all of this awesomeness!! Even though I wouldn't ever do this type of car work I do really appreciate your attention to detail on every aspect of your work!! I've used some of your work methods and how-to ideas from your channel!! Lastly I love seeing a former AF member do so well, I retired after 26 years in the AF as a Comm/Nav tech so I can appreciate your work ethics.
That's a little closer than my 5267 miles.
Love what you have done with Gump and am REALLY looking forward to the manual swap as I would love to manual swap an Outback Wilderness, but do it with a dual range transmission from Australia.
Also, I'm with you 100% on the 4300K lights as opposed to the blue hued ones. That's what I used in my truck when I swapped in HID projectors.
Love your work and exceptional attention to detail.
Hope you had a very happy Thanksgiving
I've done a little bit of video editing and I would not have Clue One on how to do that cute thing with the install diagrams zapping in and out. Nice work!
Aloha Miss Sarah! Next to the Ranger the Supra is my next favorite build of yours but that will change when the Celica is finished. Hope you had a nice Thanksgiving and have a great weekend.
Boy I hope the new owner doesn’t flip it right away. That would be totally effed up and suck at the same time.
Well, yeah, on the other hand even such a pristine top-notch restauration needs attention. If the lucky winner does not feel comfortable to do/organise a proper upkeep. Whatever is better to keep her work in the best order, is my take.
🏁
🤙🏻
Thanks!
Sarah Don't you just love working underneath a dashboard just like the rest of us 😅
Ya, a real back-breaker!
Hi Sarah! Love when the new videos drop :)
Great job! Your attention to detail is second to none.
I find my favorite channels are those which have a person sharing their passion. This channel is the epitome of that. I love that TH-cam exists for this type of content.
Your attention to detail is positively received by most of us that are the same. I also clean whole area when putting on new parts of the many motorcycles and cars that I have owned over my years of modifying vehicles. Thanks for the the upload and have an awesome weekend!
DAY 432 of waiting for Focus content... 😂
The finished Supra definitely justifies all the hours of effort you put in on it. There's you going to all that trouble and manufacturers are not even putting a list of what circuit each fuse covers in the owner's handbook these days. Love your videos.
Love your subtle, yet high quality upgrades to your vehicles.
Air Force training must be great. And you obviously paid attention.
I say rebuild another one Sarah. The Celica Supra was awesome :)
Thats awesome of you for shipping it. I missed that part or I would have put my hat in the ring. will know for future events. Your vids are awesome and so funny.
@Sarah what is the part number for the foglight bezel and DRL LED for the forester?
I think you may need new jeans 🤣😂🤣😂
which is your video of you putting a 2014 WRX/STi saloon Back Box Exhaust on the Forester XT?
FINALLY I hear a youtuber, (a serious one at that), call out the laughable misuse of the term "build".
In what galaxy does "build" mean bolting on some parts ordered from a website?! 😂 If you didn't cut, weld, paint, completely redesign & fabricate, have a drivetrain completely out & torn down, change suspension geometry (properly), etc then you didn't "build" a DAMN THING.
Exactly🫡
@@SarahnTuned and in your eternal display of humility, I somehow just realized I've watched you do all of those legit build things! You're a boss, Sarah ✌️🤘
I'm happy the Celica went to Texas and not the salt ridden roads in the northern states. Best of luck with it, Jay.
That was awesome hearing from the winner, fellow Texan. (Although I moved here for work just under 5 years ago. So I don't sound as awesome as him. My coworkers love my accent though!)
A little jealous of Jay, but also happy for him. I am continuously amazed at the level of detail on the mods you have done to Gump. Love that you make every effort to keep it OEM Subaru.
Funny, YT pays much better than active duty air force 😂 Sarah’s attention to detail seems above and beyond so well deserved…
Thanks!
I have no idea how you keep all that wiring straight. You're amazing.
If I ever win a car from you, I am coming over to pick it up personally.
Absolute 🔥. These upgrades are fantastic please continue with more Gump please 🙏🥺....🫶
I so thought you were going to straighten the fins in the intercooler ..
I really like how OCD Sarah is on cleaning and organization.
Sarah, nice pro job at 12:45 combining the two power & two ground lines into one plug. Definitely better work than what I've seen with some 'pro shops' installing automotive accessories. 😡
Haha thanks! To be fair I probably have vastly more education from a background in aerospace than the average “pro” working at a car shop.
Yeah, front lights do look better worth the effort sourcing OEM parts👌, it's all the little details, which we all appreciate. Also the graphics and pictures in the Mercedes AMG review vid, I guessed I'd be too late with the comment on that one hopefully you see this one, I appreciate the extra time and effort you put in to do that.❤
Sorry......I'd love to be a firewall grommet 😮
Hi there! I have a 2015 XT and I was wondering what head unit you have installed? Do the steering wheel controls still work with it? Thank you!
It’s one Subispeed used to sell, It’s made in China but acceptable quality. Few issues that bug me about it though.
Your video productions are awesome. Your understanding of vehicles and skills to work on them are awesome. Subaru and their vehicles are awesome. Your spine is awesome. The rest of you is also awesome. In summary, this channel is awesome.
Sarah, I love these mods/ updates/ improvements you are putting on your Gump. They look awesome! and I agree on your opinion on LED light temperature. I honestly hate the bright-blue look of any LED. Those types actually impeed vision, washes out any colour and texture differences while trying to drive at night with them.
You know, it is so crazy that car manufacturers still make cars/trucks with chrome on it. I completely agree with you on disliking chrome. In addition, I absolutely love your attention to detail Sarah. Can’t wait to to see you get your own Barnominium with your car collection.
Congratulations on the 600k subscribers, Sarah..
Those OEM front bumper lights looks sick! Do you happen to have a link to them? i need some now for my XT. ha ha
Subaru of Japan. You can get them through Japanparts.com
yay, Gump!!!! plus Sarah singing........fun!!!!
Perfect Timing!!!
Perfection is in the details, however discreet. Great new inserts with diagrams and icons from the previous one on the Mercedes 👍
Those subtle changes made quite a big difference on forester gump's look and I do agree with you the terms build/mod get thrown a lot around the web. Enjoy your weekend ❤❤❤
The highest of quality of voice over removing that bumper hahaha! Your videos have came a long long way! Loving the Gump-Mobile!

I had some bad aftermarket wiring to remove from my Golf R - the previous owner installed a cheap dash/rear cam setup, which was powered off the 12V tap directly from the fuse panel. I was wondering why the 12V tap didn't work when I got it.
Sadly, when they ran the wiring for the rear one, they broke some of the clips on the rubber wire conduit going to the rear hatch. I may have to use some silicone to seal it up for now until I can remove all the rear hatch wiring and replace the rubbers.
Your Forester is badass! I got a 2018 cuz of you Sarah 😊
Congrats again to Jay for winning the Supra. So mint! 👏🏻
Nothing beats OEM fitment. Replicas are alright but they do “cheapen” the overall affect. Gump is now truly STi. 👏🏻😎
ATD is not a bad thing to have at all: attention to detail. Congrats on breaking the 600,000 subs point, and to your continued success. Happy Thanksgiving also!
No mechanic pays the loving attention to detail like you do.
I recently did the OEM LED headlight conversion on my 2016 6speed + XT front bumper. I totally went with the ebay inserts but after seeing the OEM ones. HOLY! I love that they match the CLights and not the awful blue! Any way you could link where you sourced it from?!
❤
Sarah has the cutest twisted mind all around YT!
Im pretty new your channel, its up there with my fav watches, just wondering if you have a link or vid to the supplier's you use for the older Japanese cars? I use a 40 year old mitsi 4x4 van for my full time work vehicle just for the fun factor,, any links for parts supply is always helpful.
Its actually my favourite channel to be honest.
I literally find stuff everywhere, it’s not just one place 🤷🏻♀️
@@SarahnTuned
Cheers, I was hoping you had found someone buying up nos and stashing it in his/her basement looking at some of the nice things you've found for the Celica,
Back to adventure buying then.
👍
Hey Sarah, I recently came across your videos and they are like a 5 car wreck...I can not seem to look away...I went to bed around 2:45 a.m. as I had to stop myself. Your videos are from a perspective of the enthusiast with some mechanical knowledge, which is kinda where I am right now. I acquired a 2013-2013 Forester XT SJ 2.0 Turbo RHD back in 2019 from some friends who migrated for work. I am interested in making some incremental improvements to it and wanted some guidance. Would you be able to assist? Thanking you in advance..
NO ONE ELSE DOES THIS. Hats off Sarah, so so cool!
Sarah, it’s your attention to detail that sets you apart. Cleaning included.
Is anybody else as pissed with Subaru as I am? I have owned many Subis and still own two. I have been begging for an STi with a paddle shift. Subaru replied "True sports cars have manual transmissions". I replied "So Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche, Audi, Chevrolet, Dodge and Ford are wrong?". Now they discontinued the STi.
Your attention to detail is incredible.
YES more jdm parts! When Is the sti 6 speed swap happening?
I need a bigger shop first, that’s my only holdback. Gotta tear apart two cars side by side.
We're here specifically for the finer things! Don't ever feel like you need to apologise for it. It's what sets you apart. That and your fabulous personality and hilarious sense of humour. Love what you do, so keep doing it. Also, a while back you mentioned not doing adverts & sponsorship deals etc. If it makes your life easier, and keeps you in 'business', I for one wouldn't object to it if it ensures that the top quality content keeps coming. Don't sweat about it.
Just realized that yours, are the only builds I can watch anymore. Some of these people could at least role play a semi normal budget build. Not everyone wants 1000hp in a vehicle worth more than a house, that will be broken 99.9% of the time. And you can't drive unless the planets line up and it's dry enough, prepped enough, etc.. it's funny. Most of us just want a bit better than stock, better looks, better audio. It's not complicated, driving it to work and the grocery. Not SEMA
I love the subtle changes Gump gets........it's done tastefully.
6 spd manual swap will be a blast to watch.
Love your jeans.
I will miss the giveaway Celica. I didn't like it when you first got it but then you worked your magic on it and now I love it! I almost wish that it was the one you were throwing a V8 into and keeping. 😔 I am intrigued to see what you work on as a give-away car next. If you would consider suggestions, maybe a '90s to 2000 model Nissan 300ZX? Or maybe a '70's model Datsun 280Z?
While I am all for OEM, I wouldn't hold my breath for domestic parts with experience. I can see imports like the Toyotas, Scooby-dos, being more quality over slightly less than quantity. GM is quantity and very little quality.
As a commercial artist, I have to tell you I love your new graphics. Have you had a lot of "EXTRA" and decided to spend more time on each video...just kidding! they look GREAT!
Youre such an inspiration
Speaking of Celicas, I'm out driving around (Hudson Valley NY) and what should drive by me.....I swore it was your car but the louvers were a little wonky so I knew it wasn't but, a twin to yours ( Jay's).
Great job on the video Sarah! Thanks for making it. I'm loving your video-captured B-roll lately. It's pretty genius.
I would 1000% upgrade that display; such a rare cross-gen compatibility! Of course, that's if it was my oNLy baby... you have soo many parts on the wishlist i'm sure 😅
You have to change the STEERING WHEEL!!! I love following this project!
"...When I put a clutch in here" YEEEEESSSSSSS!!!! I was really hoping you were going to manual swap Mr. Gump!!!
Sarah N Tuned is one of the best parts of my day. Such a work ethic and attention to detail!
No new Sarah-isms today but my OCD has been properly satisfied.
Yes, Sarah and I should probably get help . . . . . . . . . but we won't.
Hey Sarah, I got a 2017 Forester XT, I plan on modding it, where do you get all these jdm sti parts for it ? Is is there a specific website? Im going to japan in november 2024 so maybe its better if i just buy the parts there. Thanks
Your attention to detail during the electrical process is amazing. I'm only mechincal. Only I mess with electrical, is if it's a under 5 min diy plug and play.
When I tried installing fog lights on my wrx base model I fried my ECU in the process. Ya a 50 min install became an 800$ repair
Damn I wish I was Jay 💯💯
I had a giggle moment... did you take inspiration for your makeup from Bittany Spears for a day?
While your down there... how's the Cabin air filter?
Nice job nice OEM+ look
i just bought myself a 2013 xt forester. my first car to buy when i started working overseas in Australia. Im gonna look back at this and try when i have enough money. Thank you for having this idea. i love your channel
Want what?.. alibaba parts?. My glow UP can,'t handle this, (screaches and falls to the floor , fainted) 😮😢😊❤😂
