I think hand to hand - I'd pick Vegeta. He has such a killer ruthless instinct, and analyzation for the battleground. I've seen the man throw dirt on Recoomes eyes lmao. But overall with so many techniques like solar flare, training from so many masters, I'd give Goku the edge there... Shit, I'm copping out and calling it a draw.
The most fearsome quality about goku is his unpredactability. In all the fights he starts as the underpowered goof, who does not seem to be inteligent or even premeditate anything. But there is just one scene that changed my mind, the one in that someone contracts hit to kill him. That thing grab my attention. The wierd way of thinking of goku makes him teerifying, you never know what his next move will be, because he fights on guts and instincts, figuring things out as soon as they show, not before they do, his Absolut confidence, makes him a netter tactician sometimes and his wierd way of thinking makes him a "special kind of tactician". Gokus fighting skills are totally diferent from vegeta and a little bit better. He might lack on all the other social abilities, but fighting he is the king on the top both in technique and strength.
Tactical: Vegeta Creative skills: Vegeta Independent learner: Vegeta Adaptability: Goku Deadly techniques: Goku Willing to get stronger: Both Either one could be stronger than the other. It goes back and forth.
@@verycalmgamer4090u denied everything that was said in the video then, but vegeta's pride is what stops him from surpassing goku, but vegeta has reached forms on his own that goku never did on his own training, like ssj and god ki, take away vegeta's pride and he could beat goku
@@verycalmgamer4090 u dont know anything if you say that, don't reply to this, cause I refuse to debate with a person who said this lol, its like talking to a 10yr old
I say it's even. Goku is too nice to get the job done sometimes. Vegeta is too arrogant to finish off the fight when he has the advantage. It really depends on the circumstances. I think Trunks & Piccolo is smarter than both. Great stuff
@john luther vegeta also would not except doing the ritual. The only explanation that fits is him unlocking it by himself, when he trained with whis by himself.
Vegeta didn't achieved ssj god on its own he trained with whis and if goku trained with whis without achieving ssj god by retual he could also achieve it to
I think Goku is a better tactical fighter. Remember guys, during the cell games arc Goku figured out the way to master the Super Saiyan 1 form by keeping it active the whole day ?? And then he was told by everyone to go to the time chamber a second time... Vegeta also agreed but he disagreed saying that it was also important too relax the body. That's a sign of a more tactical mind. Also, Vegeta in every fight just fights head on..with melee and ki blasts...and uses power...when he realizes that his opponent is more powerful than he is..he gives up.. remember the fight with Perfect cell ? And the first time with Black Goku..? He just approached him head on and didn't see the energy sword thing coming...so I would say Goku is definitely a better tactical fighter and a smarter fighter...the way he combines his different skills...kaioken and ssblue... instant transmission and Kamehameha.. awesome !
yeah i agree, goku also is the stronger fighter, he is the main character, if vegeta were the main character he would be stronger, if there were no writers and db/dbz/dbgt/dbs/dbh was real and we start at were they send goku to earth he would still be stronger than vegeta because of 5 things, friends - family - courage - martial arts/tactics - obsession to be stronger and fight stronger opponents, and probably a lot more reasons why goku is stronger.
Tough one, both are great warriors and pretty equal, but if I really had to choose one, I would give Goku a slight edge. Vegeta is overall smarter and a better tactican, BUT he tends to overthink things to much (as Whis said in RoF) and even though it has gotten much better, he is still to arrogant and prideful at times. Seriously, he has lost so many fights he could have easily won if it wasn't for his arrogance and inability to get the job done. People might disagree with me, but I think his pride hurts him more than it helps him, at least sometimes. Goku is a prick outside the battlefield and often does seemingly stupid desicions and moves, but he has these great natural battle instincts and the ability to see through an opponents fighting style and addapt to them during a fight. I think that is the one thing that makes Goku always being a step above Vegeta. Goku has already turned around countless fights where he was in a seemingly bad position but somehow found a away to see through his opponents moves and beat them in the end. This was never the case with Vegeta as far as I remeber. Whenever he had a disadvantage in a fight he lost it in the end and all he won he had a clear advantage. He even lost fights he had a clear advantage due to his pride like already said. I think that is the one thing that makes Goku a bit better, his ability to see through his opponents and their techniques and often even get to them with his nature and character. And last but not least, the best and most tactical fighter in all of Dragonball is arguable still Piccolo.
Goku's adaptibility in a fight is greater than Vegeta's, that I can agree. But people forget that Vegeta's attitude in a fight changes as his real-life character changes, his arrogance has taken a back seat nowadays in DBS, so that factor is really irrelevant. Plus, his arrogance only made him lose battles on *PLOT*, but there is no plot factor in a real fight. Vegeta and Goku's saiya-jin prides are the main reason they are this strong in the first place. But I don't think there actually a more justifiable answer than saying both are equally good fighters, just better than the other in different departments, all of which play out beautifully in a fight to death ( A.k.a Goku vs Majin Vegeta, where neither party could gain a decisive advantage) Piccolo and Vegeta are the most tactical fighters in the series IMO, Piccolo himself has admitted that Vegeta was a genius tactician though, the man himself says this.
sainandan anime Vegetas arrogance and pride are far less a factor than they used to be, I agree on that, but it's still there sometimes. What's with the fight against Frieza for example? He could have easily one shotted Frieza, but decided to torture him instead and ended up giving him the time he needed to pull a bitch move like blowing up the earth. I didn't say that (Saiyan)-Pride is a bad thing in general, it is was keeps Goku and Vegeta training and getting stronger and made them what they are, just in Vegetas case, it also often blinded him from seeing the situation and letting him addapt to it though it has become much better over time. Speaking of addabtility, Goku showed the ability to addapt to opponents and turning around seemingly lost fights on multiple occasions while Vegeta never really did. To me that is the one thing that might give Goku a very slight edge. Like I said, they are very equal, but if I had to choose one, I would give it to Goku. Goku could have gone SSJ3 against Majin Vegeta, but I get what you are saying, they are pretty equal when fighting on the same level. Piccolo and Vegeta are both great tactical fighters, but I still would give Piccolo the slight edge.
Edelweiss To me, the entire RoF ending still stands out to be the biggest plot induced stupidity in the entire fucking canon. There was no point at all to change the ending back to Goku, BY TIME REVERSING 3 minutes that too. Not only did they make Vegeta look like a helpless loser ( throwback to his speech as Majin Vegeta " He...He's even saved my life as if I were a small, helpless child" ), they also completely ruined the very sense of catastrophe of the earth getting destroyed. No problem, time reverse, let Goku pick up the win with 70 year old Masako yelling 'FREEEEEEEEEEEEEZA!!!!!' and end it with a Kamehameha. That's what I call poetic justice *sarcasm*
Edelweiss Toei is still improving though. They are not as big Goku wankers as they were back in the 90s. Nowadays, I don't know whom to blame. Toriyama or Toei. I am not whining that Toriyama still doesn't get what the fans want and shit, because I know he is doing a great job on Vegeta and has gotten over his bias against him, but still, the RoF bungle was a royal pain in the ass for anyone who respects quality of plot.
carlos lara Another reason why Goku is always a step ahead of Vegeta. Goku's been taught techniques and fighting styles. Goku pretty much just builds up raw power.
Dorian J yeah but I dont think you should count that tho, it’s like saying Vegeta was stronger than goku in the cell arc because he went and trained in the time chamber first. Like it’s more impressive that goku didn’t even train a full year in the time chamber and blitzed a Vegeta that went in there twice
This is my take: Vegeta will be able to get the best out of the situation (given what he's aiming for) while Goku will be able to get the best out of himself and sometimes those around him.
Goku is the better fighter. Vegeta relies on his aggression and is willing to go all out to win a fight. While goku is more passive and he will adapt quicker in the fight. With vegeta's fight with hit he went blue at the start and hit ko'ed him with a few blows whereas goku adapted to hits fighting style and countered his time skip and note that goku holds back if he feels like his enemy is holding back
Vegeta is a tank, he can take so many hits. Like vs Goku, he got his tail cut off, crushed by a great ape and hit with a spirit bomb. Then you see against kid Buu where he would not give up and even Buu was impressed
Also I think a counter to Gokus instant transmission is his speed, because we see in the show characters disappearing and appearing back because of how fast they are
+Matheus Pinto If instant transmission can be caught up with speed why hasn't anyone done it yet. You vegetards always making things up to make vegeta seem better than goku. He isn't. Get over it
Goku is very tactical when he needs to be. On namek he was strategic and tactical against Frieza almost the whole time. Using ki different ways, adapting, etc.
I think Goku is a better fighter AND tactician. Vegeta was a prodigy, probably being stronger that everyone other than people like Frieza and the Ginyu force, probably never needing to train, or if he did, not tactically, just strength, another draw back of Vegeta's is his pride, only training on his own (up until Whis) almost purely strength training. Goku pretty much from day was taught strength isn't everything and you need to use your head more. Goku is a genius at fighting, which is why he's always one step ahead of Vegeta.
Always have liked Vegeta the most. Only reason I watch the show is for Vegeta. Of course I'm going to pick him. And right now in Dragon ball super he is a boss.
Eli B boyish attitude but he can get serious at times like when he turns mui he didn’t play games he was ready for Jiren and that’s just his personality so he would get goofy
@@hsarTsjhsarT yeah i think one of the reasons they made him so goofy was so that those times when he gets serious hold more weight and significance and are more badass
How to fight against a stronger opponent: 1. Assume you are stronger anyway (ignore that you can sense pl) 2. Attack head on 3. Get smacked around and lose your cool 4. Throw hunderds of ki blasts and hope you get lucky 5. Get K.O.ed This was Vegeta's MO in Z. Notable exeption: vs Recoome aka, the only battle where he assumed his opponent was stronger. Vegeta's arrogance makes him a terrible fighter period. However after accepting Goku is better, he seems to have become much better. He is smarter in super than he ever was in Z. This refers only to his fighting style, in terms of training and gaining power he is pretty much on par with Goku. Oh, and Goku? EVERY battle against a stronger opponent he tries at least one creative thing to turn the tide: feet-kamehameha, warp-kamehameha, blast-to-the-eye, distraction attacks etc.
Exactly what I'm saying where the hell is everyone getting the idea that vegeta is smarter??? He always overestimates himself and gets wrecked how is that tactical at all
utewbing Lmao the only time in Z that’s he’s actually won a fight it’s cause he sorely outmatches his opponent. Every other time he picked a fight he was grossly overconfident in himself and would get his ass handed to him. I mean shit for a few examples you got: Goku, Gohan, Zarbon, Android 18, Cell, Hit.
I beg to differ who is more tactic after watching goku vs hit fight. Goku figure out a way to counter attack time skip. Vegeta copied the gravity training. Goku was the one that realize it was pointless to enter the hyperbolic time chamber a second time in cell saga because the body also needs rest. Vegeta went 2 times and even then, goku was stronger. The second time didn't help vegeta at all. Goku is overall the better fighter as well. More and better technique. The problem with goku is that he doesn't take his opponent seriously unless it is very strong. He was basically playing on the tournament of power until jiren kick his ass but then he decided to play a little more with caulifla and kale
@@hadeskingoftheunderworld7010 Yes fusion is so great despite it having the potential to make them more arrogant and prideful than they ever was alone. All that power and speed can become useless when someone becomes to cocky and arrogant and underestimates their enemy.
@@hadeskingoftheunderworld7010 Yeah that's one flaw of Vegeta's personality but pride and arrogance has been strong with all fusion characters . This all only counts the fusion dance and the potara fusion and in the dub at least it said that was a side effect of fusion even though I don't remember what episode. This may not of been in the sub though because the dub changes things from the original jappanese.
better tactical fighter? Goku. He has way more techniques, and even though he is not as smart or calculating as Vegeta, he is always the one to figure out the weaknesses of his enemies and exploit them with his wide array of skills.
"even though he is not as smart or calculating as Vegeta" How is he not? "he is always the one to figure out the weaknesses of his enemies and exploit them with his wide array of skills." That means he's as Smart if not smarter than Vegeta.
Vegeta is the better fighter! Goku has always had more power and training from gods and Kai's,, vegetas never been trained (up until super with whis) by gods/Kai's like Goku has his whole life,, Goku has learned new techniques throughout his life that he would've never learned had it not been for his teachers Vegeta has always been the better fighter tho, If it had been ONLY Goku vs Vegeta in the saiyan saga Vegeta would've killed Goku, And then again when Vegeta fought Goku as majin and Goku as ssj2, Vegeta technically won that fight Those are my thoughts 👍🏾
The problem with thinking that Vegeta is the smarter or tactical fighter, are all his dumb maneuvers during the Cell arc. Not only did he engage the Androids solo without gauging their power first, he then allowed Cell to become "perfect" instead of vanquishing him when he had the chance? How is that tactical? While Goku may be accused of similar behavior (always wanting to engage the strongest version of their opponents). However, fast forward to Super. Goku was the one who was able to figure out Hit's time jump. He was smart enough to see what was happening and then counter it. Vegeta has not had any similar inspirational moments. While they may say that Goku drops his guard, there is never been any instance of Vegeta figuring out an opponent and winning. Goku is the "superman" (will never lose) of this series. Vegeta will always be the fall guy, the one who is considered so smart and strong, but always LOSES, to validate how powerful the villain is and then allow Goku to win.
Vegeta landed the first blow to Jiren in the tournament arc by observing his fighting style. Remember the heart virus Goku lost to :P. If you go back and watch the series, both Goku & Vegeta have their strengths and weaknesses. There are times where Vegeta is stronger and there are times where Goku is stronger. Most of the time, they’re pretty much equal. And Vegeta does not ALWAYS lose, Goku just wins bigger battles usually so it’s easy to forget when Vegeta comes out on top. I feel like saying who is actually stronger is pretty damn difficult. It’s like comparing Call of Duty to Halo. Sure, they’re both FPS games, but they’re so different at the same time it’s difficult to say which game(s) are actually better. Additionally, canonically, both Goku & Vegeta have died twice, however, if you expand the story of DB to non-cannon, Goku has died a total of 5 times, where as Vegeta has still only died twice. That’s more semantics than anything but I still think it’s interesting to bring up.
That's the point.Goku is an excellent fighter. Vegeta is an excellent killer. In a tournament Goku would win.But in an all out battle to the death , Vegeta is definitely the winner
That's not necessarily true at all. Vegeta could beat Goku in a tournament setting, and being a killer means nothing since in a deathmatch if Goku is fighting to kill, he won't have a problem. He could just Solar Flare + Instant Kamehameha Vegeta (not saying that would necessarily work, but it has potential). Vegeta being a killer doesn't really help his case.
Hypnotic Elf 10 He could blink it, but considering that was an insignificant technique that Goku has used on him over two decades ago in the Dragon Ball world, there's no guarantee he'll do that.
refer to previous seasons. Goku always found a way to win. He transported cell to other world when everyone else was on the brink of accepting the end of the world. Vegeta blew himself up in and attempt to stop Buu. Vegeta let cell achieve perfect form. Vegeta was the one who decided to be arrogant with Hit whereas Goku decided to snoop around to learn about Hit. Although Goku is reckless, and even more so in super, hes a grinder. He finds a way. That in itself is tactical.
Goku's fights against jiren where he outsmarted jiren on more than one occasion shows that gokus is the smarter fighter, where vegeta went head first into everything. Goku, has an insane fight iq he just doesn't take much else seriously
Geoffrey Tasker facts and also during that fight with jiren Vegeta used up all his stamina in one final flash blast that jiren easily could’ve of moved out of the way of that’s why you here Vegeta tell jiren not to move and jiren took the blast but ended up getting up and blasting a very tired Vegeta. You’ll never see Goku do something that risky unless he absolutely had to and he knew the opponent was absolutely drained. That’s the difference between the 2.
The fight with Jiren had nothing to do with skill. Whis even said that ultra instinct is more if a mental ability than a physical skill. Vegeta on the other hand landed several good hits on Jiren after a second of two of analysing his style against Goku. The general rule of thumb for the show has always been: 1) If Goku and Vegeta stay in equal forms at equal power levels Vegeta wins 2) Goku will always have some new form that somehow helps him beat opponents and Vegeta. Think about it Vegeta in SS2 was able to land hits Goku couldn't in an improved SS3 form. Anger is the key to Vegeta's victories over Goku, especially if no new form comes out. Now we've seen that an almost dead and out of power Vegeta, post final flash, can enter a whole new form that supersedes the power and speed of SSB
You failed to remember when goku went in and got hit while vegeta analysed the attacks then vegeta came in and dodge every one of them and got a good kick in.
@@epicgreywolf5279 Goku did the exact same thing against Hit. The feats equal out. Fighting second is always easier, that doesn't make him a better fighter than Goku, it just means that the situation was in his favor. If Vegeta went in first, he would've gotten destroyed much faster than Goku did.
Hell no. You see it time and time again. He just gets angry and starts flailing if he’s out matched. Against frieza and cell he just started spamming energy attacks as soon as he started losing. On top of that he’s subject to being paralyzed by fear. Happened against broly, happened against cell, happened against frieza.
Geekdom, a few days ago, you posted a video of an interview with the two voice actor for vegeta. The Japanese one said something that you were going to get Herms to translate for us. What did he say?
I actually think Goku is more of a tactical fighter because Vegeta's arrogance gets in the way. Goku is more open minded to getting help from other people, as well as being more creative, so he learns things quicker, as well as exploring things for himself. Whereas Vegeta doesn't really come up with ideas of his own. He sort of just copies Goku.
Spider-man goku is ruthless too consider the dumb shit he's done putting the entire earth (or galaxy arguably) at risk just out of a necessity to fight the strongest and continue to grow as a fighter. He wont hold back honestly theres no chance he would hold back. Wouldnt even cross his mind
it sounds like that dude is giving a bunch if excuses to the advantages that goku has on vegeta. i think it would be a awesome fight, but goku would win. his ability to continuously adapt to a fight is unmatched. Then goku always has one trick up his sleeve that no one ever sees. Vegeta is awesome and will give goku a run for his money, however his adapting skills in combat come second to goku, look at the Buu saga, Frieza saga, universal tournament. Goku is the better surviver, vegeta is the better frontal assault. Goku is the comeback kid.
Yeah, whenever Vegeta fights he tends to favor just overpowering his opponent, and when he strategizes, it's usually before a fight ever happens, and has little to do with the actual fight. when he cooks up a strategy it's usually so he can boost his power so that he can go back to overpowering his opponent. He's very rarely the technical fighter the video makes him out to be.
I just wanna say thank you for having so many scenes from their original fight in this video. That battle was so crucial in so many ways, but on top of that it was so damn BRUTAL, it's really a defining moment in the whole series for me.
Goku has learned martial arts styles from Master Roshi, Kami, and King Kai. Vegeta just has brute power, no techniques, an is why he'll always be behind.
tactically vegeta is more precise. However, Goku is much more TALENTED. He has a more natural feel for fighting and understanding his body. Vegeta is able to analyze the playing field better than Goku. You can pick up on this even when Vegeta is just an onlooker of a fight. Vegeta knows what's going on and has suggestion of what each fighter should do. He remains comes and analyzes what the fighter is doing and even makes suggestions. Goku plays around a lot and is more childish. However, Goku is STRONGER when it comes to ABSOLUTE strength.
Vegeta does mess up on his calculations of him and his opponent's overall power because of his high level of pride. Vegeta overestimated himself and underestimated his opponent with Freiza the Android's cell Jiren and many of his opponent's. So I would say Vegeta is smart with tactics but his pride blinds him to his opponent's fighting ability.
wow...the guy read the manga and STILL says Vegeta is the better tactician? Dude, read it again. That's all I'll say. I like Vegeta as much as the next person, heck, his daughter has been my profile pix for years, but still no.I'm going with goku on this, on any day.
I believe Goku would win because not only does he have more techniques, he's more creative with them. Examples are the Instant Kamehameha, kamehameha to propel himself, Kamehameha from his feet, Super kamehameha, mastered super saiyan, super saiyan blue kaio ken, figuring out and conquering Hit's techniques. i think it's obvious
You guys forgot Vegeta going ape and almost killing Goku... That just blows my mind. How can you mention Kaioken being what let Goku survive the fight forgetting he lost? Vegeta beat Goku. Vegeta lost ad a result of Yajirobe, Krillin and Gohan's interference. Goku was incapacitated for an entire third of the battle.
Goku is a master martial artist and Vegeta is a warrior, so Goku in the end. I also don’t get why people think vegeta’s a better tactician, last time was during the namek saga and when he was bluffing about beating Android 20. While goku mastered ssj, countered Hit’s time skip, mastered ssgss first (manga), nearly knocked off jiren, and when he used ki mines against jiren.
I favor vegeta but have to give it to Goku. his fight with Frieza and Cell show him as a better tactician. With Frieza he realized he couldn't sense ki and strategically released two ki blasts from underwater as a distraction to gain the upper hand. With Cell instant transmission Kamehameha.
During the Cell Saga yes I agree with you 100% in DBS not so much. During the Resurrection F arc the first thing either fighter did was Vegeta killing Captain Ginyu which Goku disproved of (if I remember correctly).
RememberRobbyKrieger because Goku "Like killing" its not a rocket science to figure it out. And not to mention be found out Freeza weakness before vegeta.
That’s what every vegeta fans say but if vegeta became the star and Goku was in his shadows and vegeta still lost what would say you might just say toriyama like Goku more but think about vegeta pride is the reason he’s left behind and if Goku wasn’t so loose he would beat vegeta
The TOP argument is the room of spirit. Goku and Vegeta have the "same" time to figure out how to increase power. And Vegeta have a ssj Trunks as a partner. Goku have to, first, train Gohan to become a ssj, than think how to increase power. And was successfull.
Geekdom's grandma Why didn't Piccolo combine his elastic arm with his SBC? He could attack from strange angles and at close range with a charged penetrating attack!
Well if you think about it, Vegeta did beat Goku during the Sayian arc. If it was not for Krillian, Gohan, and Yajurobi the earth would have been destroyed. Even during the Buu arc, Goku and Vegeta could not continue their fight because of Majin Buu problem. If I had to choose which one would win in a Goku vs Vegeta. Goku will win hands down. Reasons down below. Goku would always almost all the way wins the battles. He may be dumb in book smarts, but when it comes to battles, he always thinks ahead. During the Cell Arc, Goku thought ahead on how to beat Perfect Cell. He did not know how strong Perfect Cell was, but he figured out how to beat Perfect Cell. He made SSJ as his base form in order to get to the next stage. Before that, during the Freiza Arc, Goku decides to train in gravity to increase his power limits. Then there are the techniques he uses, Goku uses these difficult techniques, kio-ken and Instant transmission. Then there are Goku's feats, he defeated Freiza and Majin Buu. That makes him the winner hands down. Vegeta maybe a tactician, he doe not use that brain of his to think on how to actual win the battle. Just look at the Freiza Arc, Vegeta had the idea of getting stronger faster, because he knows of his Saiyan heritage, but that did not help him. Then after that, while waiting for Goku's return, he did not know how to transform into a SSJ. Then in the Cell Arc, he let Cell become Perfect Cell, pride or not a tactician knows that you do not give the enemy the upper hand. Then he decides to train, but does not consider that there might be a way to increase his power to get to the next stage. He does not think about how to actually defeat Cell. Then into the Majin Buu Arc, he wants to fight Goku, even though it might awaken Majin Buu. What happens, he helps Buu get out of his prison, even after hearing pleas of Goku. Vegeta ends up dying in the end of him facing Majin Buu. Then there is the fact that Vegeta could not even get to SSJ3. Now sure people say he got to SSB, but that was with the help of Whis training him. That is why Vegeta will always come in second fiddle when it comes to Goku.
@@WarElephantTactical - Vegeta caught Goku off guard. That is why Goku was knocked out. Goku was not even at full power, nor did he go SSJ3. It has been proven several times that you can defeat any opponent when they are off guard.
the most tactical fighter is Yamcha! he acts so weak, he gets others to do the dirty work and thus saves the world. (plus it appears he even manipulates Mr. Satan!)
No, he meant Goku's entire outlook on life is better. Goku trains to better himself, while Vegeta trains just to beat Goku. That's the reason Vegeta couldn't catch up to Goku. He says that. Then he says Goku is simply the best.
I bet you're a new sub of geekdom. He explained infinite times on his vids and replies. say-yian is derived from the dub, and it was then said by that because of slang. But the correct one is the one that geekdom uses.
I think without question it's Goku. Numerous times he has bested an opponent of similar or greater strength, vegeta has been beaten to a pulp time after time when fighting stronger opponents. Also I think kendamu's perception of technicality is a little bit off. Technical isn't how cool or clean a move is. It just means more efficient. How many times has begets just rapidly thrown out ki blast, or wailed on an opponent and getting gassed out?
goku is a genius, a natural athelete.and know martial arts and is adaptive in the battle field.vegata is smarter then goku .but he does not use ,his brain he believes in brute force and domination .like for example he underistamtes his opponents.like with hit
Thad lindor yea overall goku is pretty dumb but when it gets to fighting goku is a genious. and you just have to think about both fights vs hit. specially in the forest. he is a head of the curve, imagine predicting the energy ball to shock himself back to life. goku is always 1 step a head during a fight
Vegetas biggest strength and weakness is his ego. As with Kakkorots overly laid back nature, and seeming lack of care in battle. Which is also Kakkorots strength. They both have a double edged sword working with, and against them.
youngsteve no they mean like when goku went super saiyan god he went god technically before vegeta did but yes they both figured out super saiyan blue at the same time *NEVA FORGET DE W A E*
thats not true, theyre running the same race and gokus just hitting checkpoints before vegeta is. He wouldve hit them with or without him. Vegeta just mow started branching out to his own limits by mastering the super saiyan royal blue while goku learns ultra instinct. Eventually Vegeta gives up on learning it, hes his own person
Zachary Cox vegeta wouldn’t have ever gotten as strong as he is now without goku. Without goku vegeta would’ve just died under freeza the reason he’s as strong as he is now is because he has followed in gokus steps.
BLaCkKsHeEp Vegeta is stronger than Goku in terms of raw power. His style of fighting is to pummel and punish his opponent till defeat. Although Goku is weaker when it comes to raw power, his control of body and mind is unmatched. He’s a craftier fighter, relying more on technique than power. Goku isn’t stronger than vegeta, but he’s waaay more effective than vegeta. Not a drop of Goku’s power goes misplaced, but Vegeta is more prone to getting too arrogant and not fully utilizing all his power.
Goku is so much better at adapting and improvising, the kamehame ha torpedos on namek, the instant transmition Kamehameha, the ki mines against jiren, Vegeta really doesn't show many tactics other than on the namek arc but Goku is so consistent and creative.
Has Goku ever developed his own attack? Seems to me, off the top of my head, he only excels at comboing learned techniques. Vegeta has so many signature attacks that he personally created while having so much less screen time in the whole of DragonBall.
Drew Hernandez Maybe if you only look at DBZ. I'm talking all of DragonBall. Even Extended Universe stuff. Also Vegeta was the one who thought of SSJ2 early on after getting rekt by #18. Without him envisioning that, Cell rapes everyone.
Tactic- “..a strategy carefully planned to seek a specific end” Id give that to goku, sure the galactic king told him about the time skip, but goku was able to figure out how to get around the time skip, vegetal May be a brute and relentless but he’s no tactician, he couldn’t of even figured out how to beat Hit to save his own life
Thats where u wrong vegeta already beaten few people than there is fact vegeta went fight hit without knowledge where goku got see vegeta fight wich gave him knowledge of time skip if roles where reversed i am sure goku would had lost and vegeta might had won
SwtorBro But at the start of his fight Goku still didn’t know how to counter the time skip. He felt it out and then proceeded to counter after learning how it really works. He did the same type of shut in the original DB, he would get his ass beat at the start of a fight but would use that to gather info on his opponents fighting style, and proceed to come up with counters on the spot.
Goku is smarter in combat, but often is caught off guard. Vegeta is ruthless and doesn't flinch when it comes to kill, but acts by impulse. Both are great in their way... So I will go with Vegito/Gogeta that has the best of both 😁
sharad rawal learning everything by yourself doesn't make you better lmao with help you get even better because you have other opinions from diff people...
? Vegeta was the Prince of all Saiyans, a Super Elite with a royal bloodline, who was taken hostage by Frieza. No picknick, but he must have picked up a lot of useful stuff. Ofcourse Goku is the better fighter. Multiple people within the series (including Vegeta himself) have stated Goku has more talent. Both have a major drive towards getting stronger, though their motivations are different. Goku is clearly driven be a need to be challenged. To explore the limits of his power and meet and fight strong(er) opponents. Vegeta started off caring about nothing more than power for the pleasure of possessing it. After meeting Goku, his only objective is to catch up with Goku. To be one step ahead of him. Even later on, when Vegeta enters a more calm state in his life, he's still chasing that goal. There are just more people who are Vegeta-fans, hence this never ending brawl. If anything, perhaps the discussion should be who the better fighter is: Goku or Gohan?
Why so ppl keep throwing cell in the mix...it wasn't unstratregic to let cell reach full power because this wasn't a fight where vegeta was trying win a life or death...
Goku is the stronger fighter, Vegeta is the better fighter. Vegeta had the upper hand the whole time during their SS2 fight in the Buu saga; Vegeta had better tactics so he was smacking Goku around. Vegeta's only flaw is constantly letting his ego get in the way.
AL3Xgaming203 3 I think you're missing the point. This is not an issue about who has more transformations, this is an issue about technicality, when you level the playing field, as in, when you make both of them fight in their level two forms, their differences are magnified. Goku can get away with a lot of recklessness simply because he had ss3 and kaioken (both of which are Reckless inefficient techniques).
Warren Wilson But didn't he say he let him win that could even mean by giving Vegeta some hits on him and i my self think even if Goku didn't use SSJ3 he could win but hope some day there will be a last Show Down Goku v Vegeta but no Ties or something like that but a Close fight and with Even strenght and Speed maybe the Last Episode of DBS and why not Future Trunks v Gohan and Kid Trunks v Goten the 2 last wont probably happen but maybe a nice End
Warren Wilson Vegeta's only the better fighter, because he fought warriors from other planets since he was a child, while Goku fought people on earth, who are no where near as strong as an average saiyan.
Going based on Dragon Ball Z (Not Super), Goku is the better all around tactician and fighter. As far as training goes, they both have massive motivation to do so, but I think Vegeta trains harder than Goku just so he can surpass him. Goku however has special abilities to learn new levels of Ki and transformations quicker than Vegeta, which is why there is a decent gap between the two most of the time. Goku is the best and will always be the best.
Vegeta is the better thinker, but that doesn't make him the better fighter, even excluding power and speed. The entire point of tactics is to put them to use, right? Goku doesn't think as much before he strikes. He does so naturally. Whis himself said that that is the way to fight. You don't think about your next move, you let each part of your body think for itself, you move instinctually. If you've fought long enough it should be possible to do this and be more effective than you already are. In terms of thinking about moves and hitting weak points through analysis, Vegeta wins. In terms of putting it to use, Goku wins easily.
Skill = Equal ( Watch the Goku vs Vegeta, Boo Arc fight for god's sake ). More gifted = Son Goku . Smarter Tactician = Vegeta. Better with Ki = Vegeta. Hand to Hand = Equal. Techniques = Son Goku . Resilience = Equal ( Initially I would have taken Vegeta, but Goku impressed me in the HIT battle in the Anime ) . Mentality = Vegeta ( slightly ) . Thinking in battle = Son Goku ( slightly )
Vegeta has shown that he can excel more with less. I think if he and Goku shared an equal skillset, on equal power, it goes to Vegeta more often than not. That being said, the reality of the situation is that two of Goku's greatest strength are his willingness to get stronger with the help of others, and his innovation when he's outmatched -- learning from more masters, picking up more techniques, finding ways to close the gap between himself and bigger enemies. Vegeta is more tactical, but Goku is the innovator.
@@-Genki The first time he lost fair and square. In the Buu Saga Vegeta won only because Goku was off guard. Goku was far stronger than Vegeta during the buu saga.
@@Xeno574 vegeta lost against multiple people so it's not really that fair and square. And how much someone trained doesn't matter and if they could win that doesn't matter either, they lost either way even if they could win.
Tactics: Vegeta. He was a soldier in an intergalactic empire where he was regularly employed to wipe out entire civilizations. He was not the most powerful among Freeza's forces so he had to make up the difference somehow. Conditioning: Equal. The big factor here is Vegeta discovered the God form on his own and trains in heavy gravity constantly vs all the things Goku has done. Techniques: Goku. Kaio Ken and Instant Transmission ftw. Big Question: Are we going to ever see SSJ3 God Vegeta use Kaio Ken?
You just said it yourself....STRONGER. the debate wasn't about strength but a better fighter. If their power was equal who would win tactically or by their smarts
goku adapts to his fights as with vegeta goes in thinking he's the best. so goku takes a beating and figures out a way to overcome and win. vegeta will go all out until there is no more gas in the tank and lose.
Goku never gives up. When fighting with broly goku knew that he can't defeat broly then though he was fighting with him. On the other hand Vegeta was scared of broly and was hiding somewhere. So this proves that goku is real Saiyan.
Thanks for correcting me Nilesh adav but please tell me if Goku wasn't able to beat cell at his own why he accepted to take a rematch with cell after Gohan was defeated please tell me
@@treysimpson9279 Because Goku know basic maths Vegeta doesn't even know basic maths, all he knows is war plus the dude can't even clean one plate without breaking it, and then he can't crack an egg into a big metal mixing bowl while Goku can but Goku can't even screw a light bulb.
I love Vegeta, but he is never really shown how he can be a smart fighter outside of the Frieza saga. He does seem more technically sound in a fighting sense as he always seems to land blows in a match even when he's out matched, but he doesn't have the creativity of Goku
Goku. because has trained under different masters. knows way more moves like Instant transmission,Kaioken,SS3,Solar flare, spirit bomb and Kamehameha always figures out a way to win in a fight. isn't scared of anyone for example wasn't scared of Frieza,Cell,Buu,Beerus,Hit and Omi King
After the Hit fight Goku wins hands down
but who took recoome out just saying
I agree with you Madara
+Alex Loya good Alex
Goku has more techniques up his sleeve
I couldn't have said this any better! Awesome!
Ramiro Ibarra yes you said it, I couldn't had said any better. Props to you

He just approached him head on and didn't see the energy sword thing coming...so I would say Goku is definitely a better tactical fighter and a smarter fighter...the way he combines his different skills...kaioken and ssblue... instant transmission and Kamehameha.. awesome !
also when he realized frieza couldn't sense ki and used those blasts from under water as a distraction was really tactical.
yeah i agree, goku also is the stronger fighter, he is the main character, if vegeta were the main character he would be stronger, if there were no writers and db/dbz/dbgt/dbs/dbh was real and we start at were they send goku to earth he would still be stronger than vegeta because of 5 things, friends - family - courage - martial arts/tactics - obsession to be stronger and fight stronger opponents, and probably a lot more reasons why goku is stronger.
But I don't think there actually a more justifiable answer than saying both are equally good fighters, just better than the other in different departments, all of which play out beautifully in a fight to death ( A.k.a Goku vs Majin Vegeta, where neither party could gain a decisive advantage)
Piccolo and Vegeta are the most tactical fighters in the series IMO, Piccolo himself has admitted that Vegeta was a genius tactician though, the man himself says this.
sainandan anime
Vegetas arrogance and pride are far less a factor than they used to be, I agree on that, but it's still there sometimes.
That's what I call poetic justice *sarcasm*
sainandan anime
Blame Toei, Goku >>>>>>>>>>>> all if it goes after them.

Goku relies on people to train him while Vegeta trains himself
carlos lara Another reason why Goku is always a step ahead of Vegeta. Goku's been taught techniques and fighting styles. Goku pretty much just builds up raw power.
Anelyin Ramos if vegeta was trained by the same masters he would be leagues above goku....he wouldn't be near vegeta
Vegeta himself admit that " kakaroot you are the best"
Yes he did say kakaroot you are the best haha
psycho and in super when he said I acknowledged you are the best but I won't sit by or something along those lines
As in power not skill
@john luther what's with everyone having broken English?

Hallelujah
Kumbi holy is dumb Vegeta is a way better tactical fighter

Totally as kid i watched this show for goku but now growing up i see this solely for Prince Vegeta
Vegeta is just realer than goku . nobody has time for his foolish games and boyish attitude about everything
So you pick up someone due to feelings? How pathetic!
How to fight against a stronger opponent:
1. Assume you are stronger anyway (ignore that you can sense pl)
2. Attack head on
3. Get smacked around and lose your cool
4. Throw hunderds of ki blasts and hope you get lucky
5. Get K.O.ed
This was Vegeta's MO in Z.

And thats why vegetio is the best hes the best parts of them both

Vegeta is the better fighter! Goku has always had more power and training from gods and Kai's,, vegetas never been trained (up until super with whis) by gods/Kai's like Goku has his whole life,, Goku has learned new techniques throughout his life that he would've never learned had it not been for his teachers
Vegeta has always been the better fighter tho,
If it had been ONLY Goku vs Vegeta in the saiyan saga Vegeta would've killed Goku,
And then again when Vegeta fought Goku as majin and Goku as ssj2, Vegeta technically won that fight
Those are my thoughts 👍🏾
Yes to the saiyan saga fight, no to the majin vegeta ss2 goku fight.
bro love you videos man!
If Vegeta beat Goku in the Saiyan saga, it would have been a WAY different series
In the making buu saga, Goku was leaving out ssj 3 so honestly Goku would have ended Vegeta right there
I agree though Vegeta is a better fighter. Goku just has more tricks. Take away Gokus teleportation and kao ken then he will lose.
Look at the way Goku sit up jiren when he almost knocked him off the stage
That tactics
& when he set a mine of lol blast around jiren. Smart thinking. Although it didn’t effect jiren it was smart
Vegeta will always be the fall guy, the one who is considered so smart and strong, but always LOSES, to validate how powerful the villain is and then allow Goku to win.
it was just his pride and being below goku he just wanted to prove himself
Justin Batez that’s his point
Adam Burch not true Goku may figure things out but he doesn't always win like Cell Buu goku black and he didn't beat hit
Goku better fighter. Vegeta better tactician imo, and Goku has the solar flare too which can be very dangerous if it's used correctly
AGREE I'M A GOKU FAN
That's the point.Goku is an excellent fighter. Vegeta is an excellent killer. In a tournament Goku would win.But in an all out battle to the death , Vegeta is definitely the winner
That's not necessarily true at all. Vegeta could beat Goku in a tournament setting, and being a killer means nothing since in a deathmatch if Goku is fighting to kill, he won't have a problem. He could just Solar Flare + Instant Kamehameha Vegeta (not saying that would necessarily work, but it has potential). Vegeta being a killer doesn't really help his case.
vegeta knows that technique and he can just blink it
Hypnotic Elf 10
He could blink it, but considering that was an insignificant technique that Goku has used on him over two decades ago in the Dragon Ball world, there's no guarantee he'll do that.
refer to previous seasons.
The general rule of thumb for the show has always been:
1) If Goku and Vegeta stay in equal forms at equal power levels Vegeta wins
2) Goku will always have some new form that somehow helps him beat opponents and Vegeta.
You failed to remember when goku went in and got hit while vegeta analysed the attacks then vegeta came in and dodge every one of them and got a good kick in.
keilante taylor goku and vegeta in equal turns goku would win actually
@@epicgreywolf5279 Goku did the exact same thing against Hit. The feats equal out. Fighting second is always easier, that doesn't make him a better fighter than Goku, it just means that the situation was in his favor. If Vegeta went in first, he would've gotten destroyed much faster than Goku did.
Vegeta. He’s made more progress on his own (until super) as well as being more calculated in fights.
Yes but his stubbornness and unwillingness to adapt or accept help could be the reason why he will always be behind goku
Hell no. You see it time and time again. He just gets angry and starts flailing if he’s out matched. Against frieza and cell he just started spamming energy attacks as soon as he started losing. On top of that he’s subject to being paralyzed by fear. Happened against broly, happened against cell, happened against frieza.
He achieved all that after figuring out that its possible through Goku...
Goku would win but vegeta is ruthless so he won't hold back
Spider-man goku has ultra instinct
Spider-man goku is ruthless too consider the dumb shit he's done putting the entire earth (or galaxy arguably) at risk just out of a necessity to fight the strongest and continue to grow as a fighter. He wont hold back honestly theres no chance he would hold back. Wouldnt even cross his mind
Gaming Ledgens- Not anymore
it sounds like that dude is giving a bunch if excuses to the advantages that goku has on vegeta. i think it would be a awesome fight, but goku would win. his ability to continuously adapt to a fight is unmatched.
Is Qaaman still alive?
i know right
No
I'm also wondering that
+Ryuk The Shinigami Well, this is as good as a confirmation can be.
He's chilling out with DBGT Piccolo in the other world lol
tactically vegeta is more precise.

+Vyom Dutt Sharma mhm :) it's from DB Multiverse, she's fighting King Cold curently...in his *6th* form.
+Kobil Shakur Both names are used.
Bra is the Japanese term, Bulla is the fake one which is a dub-only term.
+Vyom Dutt Sharma That's Sports Bra
True dat
You should make one of these every year,
showing the progress of both fighters!
In my opinion, Goku.
He thinks before he fights.
Vegeta is reckless.
vegeta is the better strategist. goku on the other hand is the better fighter seeing how has been trained by like 8 different people
Goku is a master martial artist and Vegeta is a warrior, so Goku in the end.
Sounds like the battle with pikkan
During the Cell Saga yes I agree with you 100% in DBS not so much. During the Resurrection F arc the first thing either fighter did was Vegeta killing Captain Ginyu which Goku disproved of (if I remember correctly).
Nigga vegeta knew freiza could sense energy how tf you think he got away with the dragon balls.
Disaprovement of something doesn't mean that Goku is less of a fighter.
RememberRobbyKrieger because Goku "Like killing" its not a rocket science to figure it out.
And not to mention be found out Freeza weakness before vegeta.
imo vegeta is better overall but goku is the main star of the show so they will make him look stronger n better.
ssjblue vegeta Who the fuck is holy?????
Jesse Robinson lol goku fucking auto correct.
Pretty much.
That’s what every vegeta fans say but if vegeta became the star and Goku was in his shadows and vegeta still lost what would say you might just say toriyama like Goku more but think about vegeta pride is the reason he’s left behind and if Goku wasn’t so loose he would beat vegeta
FlurryOfStyx EXACTLY
The TOP argument is the room of spirit.
Goku and Vegeta have the "same" time to figure out how to increase power. And Vegeta have a ssj Trunks as a partner.
Goku have to, first, train Gohan to become a ssj, than think how to increase power. And was successfull.
piccolo is the better fighter
Geekdom's grandma Damn right!
Amen.
Geekdom's grandma no of teknicks yes but at strong, trasforms and smart is Goku
If only...
Geekdom's grandma
Why didn't Piccolo combine his elastic arm with his SBC?
He could attack from strange angles and at close range with a charged penetrating attack!
Vegeta is a better tactician? he sprays ki blasts
He sprays it at nobody either, it generally misses most of the time and he still spams it.
ATTACK ATTACK ATTACK ATTACK as he’s throwing ki blasts everywhere
Goku is some shit
And then he blows himself up
@@DarkAcolyteNZ a move that is 1-1. Would be undefeated if boo couldnt regenerate from nothing .so put respect on his name..
When you say “Cyan” to make it sound different
Was thinking the same thing like why is you saying “cyan” slim 😂😂😂 tryna be different
I hate when he does this lol he does the same with the “hyperbolic time chamber”. At this point pick one Sub or Dub damnit lol
Majin vegeta legit knocked goku the fuck out
@@WarElephantTactical - Vegeta caught Goku off guard. That is why Goku was knocked out. Goku was not even at full power, nor did he go SSJ3. It has been proven several times that you can defeat any opponent when they are off guard.
Roman Reigns would beat them both. To bad he's suspended.
Lmao
Batman would win !
John Cena would win
+Keith Howards shaq 4 rings 3finals mvp > Lebron
all of u shut up we all know the rock is cooking

Goku the dumber, vegeta the smarter
goku is dumb but not when it comes to fighting
+Geekdom101 but he's curious
+Geekdom101 imposter
JimmyBao Gaming 😜
+Geekdom101 Quick Question: Can the spirit bomb work against Vegeta, doesnt it only hurt those with evil in their heart?
the most tactical fighter is Yamcha!
he acts so weak, he gets others to do the dirty work and thus saves the world.
(plus it appears he even manipulates Mr. Satan!)
Happalula but one day the fucking saibamen would arrive.
@Geekom101 Do that video again.. Now with goku and vegeta's new Techniques and Abilities..
Vegeta himself admits Goku is better in the Buu saga. /thread
In strength not technique
In fighting. So yeah, technique.
Eric Staples that is aftet Goku goes ssj3. I think
No, he meant Goku's entire outlook on life is better. Goku trains to better himself, while Vegeta trains just to beat Goku. That's the reason Vegeta couldn't catch up to Goku. He says that. Then he says Goku is simply the best.
Eric Staples I guess that was retconed in dbs
WHY?!?! (*ahem*) why Mr. Geekdom do you constantly call them Sai-yans instead of Saiy-yans? Wanna give me an explanation for that please?
PLEASE??!!!
He's out here saying cyan lol
IKR?
+adam stewart (untamable treecko adhd) It's the proper way to say it. Like Saiya-jin.
I bet you're a new sub of geekdom. He explained infinite times on his vids and replies. say-yian is derived from the dub, and it was then said by that because of slang. But the correct one is the one that geekdom uses.
Goku is patient and waits for the appropriate time to counter.
Vegeta*
goku is a genius, a natural athelete.and know martial arts and is adaptive in the battle field.vegata is smarter then goku .but he does not use ,his brain he believes in brute force and domination .like for example he underistamtes his opponents.like with hit
What about in namek when he was fighting that ugly green dude with his tactics
Thad lindor after T.O.P your perspective of vegeta should be diffeent.. Hes grown alot
Vegetas biggest strength and weakness is his ego. As with Kakkorots overly laid back nature, and seeming lack of care in battle. Which is also Kakkorots strength. They both have a double edged sword working with, and against them.
The way i see it in terms of tactics and techniques goku has a more adaptive and creative style while vegeta is more strategic and analytical
I thought Ssb was discovered by both vageta n goku at the same time while training with Wis
youngsteve no they mean like when goku went super saiyan god he went god technically before vegeta did but yes they both figured out super saiyan blue at the same time *NEVA FORGET DE W A E*
Vegeta reached to where he is now is by copying Goku so how can anyone call him superior to Goku?
Preach brother preach !!!!
thats not true, theyre running the same race and gokus just hitting checkpoints before vegeta is.
As a Jiu jitsu guy I recognized all of the techniques you mentioned
"who is the smarter fighter? who is the more tactical fighter?" Vegeta.
now if the question is "who is more powerful?" its definitely Goku.
This is untrue goku is weaker in same form always but goku use transformations
BLaCkKsHeEp Vegeta is stronger than Goku in terms of raw power. His style of fighting is to pummel and punish his opponent till defeat. Although Goku is weaker when it comes to raw power, his control of body and mind is unmatched. He’s a craftier fighter, relying more on technique than power. Goku isn’t stronger than vegeta, but he’s waaay more effective than vegeta. Not a drop of Goku’s power goes misplaced, but Vegeta is more prone to getting too arrogant and not fully utilizing all his power.
@@JJ-hg9bb na bro his power finishes the time he decides to attack. he uses all his power without thinking
Gorky is the better tactically as vegeta just rushes in at times and loses his temper more than goku
Goku is so much better at adapting and improvising, the kamehame ha torpedos on namek, the instant transmition Kamehameha, the ki mines against jiren, Vegeta really doesn't show many tactics other than on the namek arc but Goku is so consistent and creative.
Vegeta. Goku has never really developed his own techniques or attacks. Vegeta has. Even Piccolo does.
+Adveshan Hell, he even says his original fighting stance was a traditional one used by most saiyan warriors.
Has Goku ever developed his own attack? Seems to me, off the top of my head, he only excels at comboing learned techniques. Vegeta has so many signature attacks that he personally created while having so much less screen time in the whole of DragonBall.
+BlackAngel66678 I believe King-Kai stated the Goku was the first ever person to MASTER the Kaio-Ken.
+BlackAngel66678 Vegeta only has the Final Flash that's signature.
But he had more knowledge of it and dint go in blind like vegeta
Goku is smarter in combat, but often is caught off guard. Vegeta is ruthless and doesn't flinch when it comes to kill, but acts by impulse. Both are great in their way... So I will go with Vegito/Gogeta that has the best of both 😁
Goku fights better, but Vegeta tries more.
Iria I kinda see where you're coming from on that.
sean patrick harrington nah in Martial arts and techniques Goku is better and in being cautious Vegeta is better
sean patrick harrington Name me one form Vegeta worked for that Goku didn't. Vegeta has just as many if not more asspulls bro.
Vegeta didn't get SSG in the anime. As for the manga, it was an asspull, because he literally broke the rules to get it.
Yeah well in the anime, Vegeta didn't get SSG. I asked you to give me a form Goku didn't work for, but Vegeta did. And Anime Wars is traced trash.
vegeta was reckless everytime. he usually used his brain when gokus fighting the main villain.
do they still gain zenki boosts when they come back from near death
I think vegeta is the better fighter cause no one actually taught him anything . He learned everything by himself and you know he is the best.
sharad rawal só you think while planet vegeta and King vegeta were a thing, vegeta never got training by the elite sayians?
sharad rawal learning everything by yourself doesn't make you better lmao with help you get even better because you have other opinions from diff people...
Daishinkan Sama when he was older no goku got trained by legends while vegeta did it all by himself
U fool vegeta nappa and the rest were trained in planet vegeta and as friezas loyal saiyans and trained in harder gravity
Reads latest DBS manga: Vegeta trains on Yardrat.
Hahahahaha and he knows the move too 🤣

Why so ppl keep throwing cell in the mix...it wasn't unstratregic to let cell reach full power because this wasn't a fight where vegeta was trying win a life or death...
Goku is the stronger fighter, Vegeta is the better fighter. Vegeta had the upper hand the whole time during their SS2 fight in the Buu saga; Vegeta had better tactics so he was smacking Goku around. Vegeta's only flaw is constantly letting his ego get in the way.
emmanuel hoyos true but then again Goku was holding back alot so that he wouldn't power up to super saiyan 3
Warren Wilson
But didn't he say he let him win that could even mean by giving Vegeta some hits on him and i my self think even if Goku didn't use SSJ3 he could win but hope some day there will be a last Show Down Goku v Vegeta but no Ties or something like that but a Close fight and with Even strenght and Speed maybe the Last Episode of DBS and why not Future Trunks v Gohan and Kid Trunks v Goten the 2 last wont probably happen but maybe a nice End
Warren Wilson Vegeta's only the better fighter, because he fought warriors from other planets since he was a child, while Goku fought people on earth, who are no where near as strong as an average saiyan.
I know i'm really late but when Goku tries to go into ssj3 couldn't Vegeta just draw him of focus by beating the shit out of him?
Going based on Dragon Ball Z (Not Super), Goku is the better all around tactician and fighter. As far as training goes, they both have massive motivation to do so, but I think Vegeta trains harder than Goku just so he can surpass him. Goku however has special abilities to learn new levels of Ki and transformations quicker than Vegeta, which is why there is a decent gap between the two most of the time. Goku is the best and will always be the best.
Goku was taught all of his best techniques, but Vegeta created all of his.
I don't recall Vegeta thinking about moves and hitting weak points, except in Super maybe and i'm basing that on Whis' comment
Skill = Equal ( Watch the Goku vs Vegeta, Boo Arc fight for god's sake ).
More gifted = Son Goku .
Smarter Tactician = Vegeta.
Better with Ki = Vegeta.
Hand to Hand = Equal.
Techniques = Son Goku .
Resilience = Equal ( Initially I would have taken Vegeta, but Goku impressed me in the HIT battle in the Anime ) .
Mentality = Vegeta ( slightly ) .
Vegeta is more tactical, but Goku is the innovator.
um what in dbz super vegeta keeps fighting because goku is stronger than him
"What Goku does is not nearly as defined" as Goku defeats vegeta😂🤔 #GetBetterCoHosts #ThisGuyIsDumb
3 years later and I'm sure you know by now but goku never actually beat vegeta or atleast on his own

@@Xeno574 oh ok makes sense.
But my second point still stands.
Big Question: Are we going to ever see SSJ3 God Vegeta use Kaio Ken?
whos watching in 2019? VEGETA ON YARDRAT
Vegeta admits goku is stronger why can't you?!
You just said it yourself....STRONGER. the debate wasn't about strength but a better fighter. If their power was equal who would win tactically or by their smarts
Salil saxena besides that was in the buu saga. they are essentially equals now
goku adapts to his fights as with vegeta goes in thinking he's the best. so goku takes a beating and figures out a way to overcome and win. vegeta will go all out until there is no more gas in the tank and lose.
Goku never gives up. When fighting with broly goku knew that he can't defeat broly then though he was fighting with him. On the other hand Vegeta was scared of broly and was hiding somewhere.
So this proves that goku is real Saiyan.

I love Vegeta, but he is never really shown how he can be a smart fighter outside of the Frieza saga. He does seem more technically sound in a fighting sense as he always seems to land blows in a match even when he's out matched, but he doesn't have the creativity of Goku
