Meaning that, when it comes to this transformation Vegeta achieved it by sheer will and training, whereas Goku indeed got it via some ritual. So maybe you should see the whole scenario before you try to prove some random person wrong. It's rather very sad that there is a toxic fandom, which you are very much representing with your out of context comments. Indeed the kind of fans who tend to make the fandom divided. Nah if anything Vegeta is the one with natural talent. The reason goku is so strong is because he was trained by the best teachers there are, literal gods of martial arts. Vegeta on the other hand trained on his own and refused help from anyone. Only up until recently, now that Vegeta is putting aside his ego and training with masters he's improving incredibly and is even stronger than ui goku in the manga right now. So in terms of raw talent I think Vegeta has it, he was just too prideful to let others help him while Goku did anything he could to get stronger. People forget that Goku is a lower class saiyan while Vegeta comes from a royal lineage, of course he'd be stronger naturally.

Blue is in fact stronger than red. But, SSB does in fact consume more energy while red consumes less. I think whis briefly explained it when Goku was fighting dyspo
Also think of SSG as the true base form if in fact when they internalize their ki a Saiyan just turns red. Despite what Whis teaches, he does not seem to put down this form change almost as if its the base form under internalized ki dubbed god ki. So in reality if Vegita or Goku actually mastered internal ki at all times. Then they would stay with red hair from an art direction. Really should just be their native color, but merchandise…

"Blue is superior to God in every single way." Except in stamina Geekdom. It is stated in both the manga and the Anime that you do get increased output/performance in Blue than in God, but it comes at the cost of increased energy consumption/stamina drain.
Remember in the android and cell saga when gohan and goku had accustomed themselves to keep super saiyan on at all times, yeah that’s gonna happen with vegeta and goku
At this point in the series, Super Saiyan Blue has very minor stamina consumption, considering the two Saiyans can use it for extensive periods of time without getting visibly tired. Though, from what we've seen in the DBS Broly movie, they only really use it if their opponent is stronger than them in their Super Saiyan God forms.
@@kizuuna Yeah it does. SSJ2 is a very underrated form and it's my favorite, next to SSJ4 and SSG. Fanboys don't talk about God either because Blue is more "powerful" and it's the most shown. I think Super would have been much better with only SSG. Having too many transformations makes the previous ones look wrongly weak and obsolete.

If you have read the manga you should know the the SSG is faster and uses less energy than Blue, and Blue's strength depends on a lot of factors so it is easy to not use the 100% of Blue's power

I believe my theory about Zenkais works here. I believe that Saiyans are constantly responding Ki from their opponents. This is part of their on-the-fight adaption. But when brought to near death, their body adapts to and against the Ki they've absorbed. So the stronger/more alien the Ki, the stronger the effect. My evidence? 1: Vegeta lost against another Saiyan (similar Ki) who was weaker than him, and gained a small Zenkai (33%). 2: After almost dying against a Somewhat stronger Zarbon with an alien Ki, he showed an impressive growth in power, barely struggling against Zarbon the second time, even having time to stop Krillin from escaping. 3: Vegeta would later be badly hurt by Racoome, with a far strong Ki which was alien to his own, and came back with a 733% growth in power. 3: Goku almost died while a powerful (stronger than his base) and alien Ki actually inhabited his body, seeing a 3,333% growth in power. A Saiyan's growth during Zenkai seems to be related to the opponents Ki, rather than how beat down they get. If that is the case, Vegeta training with someone overwhelmingly stronger with Godly Ki for an extended period would have certainly caused him to adapt to and with that Ki. So why didn't Goku acquire the Ki training with King Kai? Because King Kai was far weaker and likely didn't train Goku with fisticuffs. Vegeta's trainer was vastly stronger and trained him and Goku hand to hand. Now, I know this might sound like the theory that Zenkais are the body responding to the threat around them. The difference is that it isn't necessarily the threat, but rather the strength and nature of the Ki itself. Now what about Cell's growth into Super Perfect Cell? It was his own Ki afterall. Yes, but also consider that the growth wasn't as big as we may think. He went from firmly stronger than Gohans SSJ1 to likely matching his SSJ2 form (although that is up for debate), which means his growth had to fit well within Gohan's X2 multiplier for SSJ2. Also consider that Cell's big boost appears to be gaining his own version of SSJ2, meaning he likely saw little actual growth in base power.
Cell got stronger after he blew himself up because of saiyan's gene within him. Saiyans believed to got much stronger when they survived in near death or death itself, Vegeta explains that on Frieza arc in Namek.
@@danjiro1508 He didn't really get much stronger. Remember, Gohan's powerup was only x2. Even after Gohan was badly injured (literally the loss of an arm an alot of blood), he was able to match Cell, and ultimately able to overtake him with morale support. Cell was already stronger than base SSJ. I'd say he is about 1.25x SSJ (remember that he was far more outclassed by SSJ2 than how he outclassed SSJ). At best, Gohan may have been only 1.5X ssj with his injuries, so Cell's growth would have been probably 20% growth at best. Even if you disagree with my numbers, the fact is, he went from strong enough to decidedly beat SSJ to strong enough to barely tie a very badly injured SSJ2. It wasn't a big increase for him. His Zenkai never kicked up when he was badly injured before, such as against Goku. I think the Zenkai here was more due to him having faced a greater SSJ2 power, as some people theorize that his super form was his "SSJ2." Remember that he showed a form similar to SSJ Level 3 against Trunks without ever using SSJ, so many believe he has a permanent access to it in a sort of "Not fully saiyan but rather a monster using Saiyan DNA" kind of way. So it would make sense if his "Zenkai" was really his Saiyan energy replicating SSJ2 instead of SSJ. Of course, since he is only partly Saiyan, it wouldn't have a similar multiplier.
That does make sense, I always saw it as the body reacting via some sort of saiyan Epigenetic function like working a muscle to near failure to to failure to maximize its growth. Pardon me for making this about something like the gym but working a muscle group out in a different way then what it’s used to does work out the muscles associated with it differently, with the smaller muscles getting focused and forced to grow in order to adapt as compared to the larger adapted muscles being the main movers in the normal way, we can then compare saiyans to something like a muscle…the more trauma they receive the more power they will gain after surviving the encounter, with encounters farther then what they are used to giving a new demand to grow stronger. Just using a muscle analogy to try and solidify your concept. The saiyan biology is truly impressive
3 years late, but there seems to be a common theme with Vegeta, every "1st time" we see him go into a new form, it's never Vegeta's first time, he always does it off screen, then later explains how it happened to us the audience.

Having multiple writers isn't that bad. We are in a modern dragon ball era, so toriyama isn't going to be around forever and the franchise can be on-going. I think they learned this move from American Comicbook writers; hence, the multiverse addition to the series, so there is always someone stronger. Also toriyama cannot singly handle the series demand and fifty million spin off series would just annoy people. If you read about cell arc--the demand made the producers push toriyama and made him have harder things to draw. If dragonball was an indie anime/manga, yeah I get that, but no its pop culture icon competing against worldwide icons. Moreover, Dragonball Super is an economic force for Japan with the new Broly movie generating 88 million. Just a new perspective for anyone reading the comments.

After watching Broly, I smell a new transformation brewing for Goku and Vegeta. Broly can harness the power of the great ape in human form. Sounds a lot like SS4 and I would love to see Goku learn that from Broly...with a reimagining of SS4.
Whis also said one of the key details to getting stronger is not letting your ki leak out. The more ki you can trap in, the more you can put towards energy. So Vegeta learned how to conserve his ki more through training with Whis

I thought it was a fusion when Vegeta get same amount of power as Goku. When Vegeta and Goku fusion then Vegeta got Super Sayian God from Goku in fusion. But I guess I was wrong.
There is one advantage of SSG over blue, and it was stated in super. SSG is less physically draining then blue is, allowing it to be sustained for longer.
For me SSB is more like a stronger form if you wanna brute force your way to your opponent and SSG red is like a sustained attack, power, speed and more like balanced and less energy draining.

I don't remember him using it in the first tournament, almost 100% certain he didn't use it in the Goku Black arc, and then he pulled it out once or twice in the Tournament of Power. Honestly I agree that holding Blue until the first tournament or Goku Black would've been better but I understand disagreements with that.

@@ricofed439 Actually, SSJ3 uses more stamina than SSB, mainly because Blue requires perfect Ki control, which means less Ki leakage. So SSJ3 is actually worse than SSB. SSJ2 might even too, but there's not much evidence to that effect.
I just realized this is technically the complete opposite to SSJ4 Goku needed help with SSG while Vegeta did it alone Goku achieved SSJ4 on his own while Vegeta needed the blutz waves
1:42 I actually wish this was true, it would be great to explain it like this. When doing the ritual, a link is established in the saiyans, so they are all connected, it's just that Goku got most of the power. Everybody else HAS God ki after that they just have to work harder to draw it out and use it. This would be interesting so u could give everyone something to do, as they would all have their individual "God moments" where when they come to a certain realization of self or work hard enough, they unlock the form. I think of it like unlocking your "true potential" from the Ninjago cartoon.👍🏽💯 Even Gohan could get it, and mix it with his ultimate form, his hair would be black still but his aura would be white with red/blue tinges in it👍🏽 Goten and trunks could have their own God forms and when they go God and THEN fuse there's a red/blue burst and boom, their fusion would last longer as it's being held together by God ki, it's like putting a band aid on a cut and then wrapping gauze around said band aid👍🏽💯

For me How vegeta learnt super saiyan god So first super saiyan god is basically god essence and power up in base form (like the plain white aura in normal state) So when vegeta train with whis he got the feeling of god ki and he train to attain god essence
He didnt learn it on his own if whis taught him. The moment he has access to God Ki, aka before he fought Golden Frieza, he had access to it. Basically, to achieve SSB, one must know how to obtain and use SSG. Once you do the latter, you can use the power of it to augment and change Super Saiyan into Super Saiyan Blue.
The first time we see a flash of blue is when whis is teaching Goku and Vegeta how to contain their ki. They both tap into blue during this scene for a split second... Way before Vegeta has used SSG.

real_g 30 no wiese made this clear, god ki is fully internalized ki in the body and not gathered. Essentially just because you can fully internalize the ki, the body has to train to handle the PRESSURE. Thus Yamcha in theory could internalize the ki, but not necessarily his full potential or greater than his current fathered power level. Though once mastered the user can now fully power up but containing all their ki and beyond but are much more efficient. The efficiency is also mentioned by wiese as well.
@@N.N01 God Ki base is "God-like Saiyan" or "Saiyan beyond God" - it's when Goku and Vegeta basically have a White Aura in their base form. Even then in the Super anime they aren't actually using God Ki during this state, but it's sort of the precursor to it, where they start raising their energy to get to the point where if they used God Ki they can transform to a Super Saiyan God.

I love that it's so well established that goku is this brilliant savant of a fighter and vegeta is always portrayed as just brute forcing his way through life and gains then belts out straight 200 IQ fight understanding, but only very rarely. A bit hard to say, but the manga and anime state that Red has more balance, akin to Full Power SSJ. Wonder if Goku would have went Super Saiyan God Kaioken.
Red CAN'T be faster than blue, because blue is red WITH super saiyan, not a completely different transformation. It combines red and super saiyan, and ends up getting the speed and power boosts from BOTH forms.
I like to head cannon Vegeta was the first to turn SSJB. He went to train with Whis and at some point unlocked SSJG. He trains to master the form but is told by Whis that he's still weaker than Goku when he fought Beerus. After some training sessions Vegeta has an emotional moment (something like how he's always playing "catch up" with Goku), gets pissed and, similar to how Gohan tapped into SSJ2 while he was training with Goku, briefly turns SSJB before going back to base exhausted. Whis notes how his power just skyrocketed, far surpassing Goku's, giving Vegeta drive to train harder. After Goku joins and they begin training together he notices how he can't quite keep up with Vegeta, so he challenges Vegeta to a match to see how much stronger he has gotten. They fight, cycling through their transformations until they reach SSJG. They have an all out brawl but Goku can sense that, while he's going all out, Vegeta's still holding back. Goku tells Vegeta he wants to fight him at his best, and with some encouragement Whis, Vegeta reveals his new transformation and bodies Goku. Maybe he even fights Beerus I thought of this head cannon because in my book Vegeta needs a "first". I mean Goku was the first to turn SSJ, SSJ3, SSJ4 ( if you count GT), SSJG, and mastered UI. As a Vegeta fan I feel good knowing he has a "first person to reach a new transformation" achievement to call his own. Whether or not you agree, or even like my head cannon is completely fine.😁

Nah if anything Vegeta is the one with natural talent. The reason goku is so strong is because he was trained by the best teachers there are, literal gods of martial arts. Vegeta on the other hand trained on his own and refused help from anyone. Only up until recently, now that Vegeta is putting aside his ego and training with masters he's improving incredibly and is even stronger than ui goku in the manga right now. So in terms of raw talent I think Vegeta has it, he was just too prideful to let others help him while Goku did anything he could to get stronger. People forget that Goku is a lower class saiyan while Vegeta comes from a royal lineage, of course he'd be stronger naturally.

If you have read the manga you should know the the SSG is faster and uses less energy than Blue, and Blue's strength depends on a lot of factors so it is easy to not use the 100% of Blue's power

I believe my theory about Zenkais works here. I believe that Saiyans are constantly responding Ki from their opponents. This is part of their on-the-fight adaption. But when brought to near death, their body adapts to and against the Ki they've absorbed. So the stronger/more alien the Ki, the stronger the effect. My evidence?
1: Vegeta lost against another Saiyan (similar Ki) who was weaker than him, and gained a small Zenkai (33%).
2: After almost dying against a Somewhat stronger Zarbon with an alien Ki, he showed an impressive growth in power, barely struggling against Zarbon the second time, even having time to stop Krillin from escaping.
3: Vegeta would later be badly hurt by Racoome, with a far strong Ki which was alien to his own, and came back with a 733% growth in power.
3: Goku almost died while a powerful (stronger than his base) and alien Ki actually inhabited his body, seeing a 3,333% growth in power.
A Saiyan's growth during Zenkai seems to be related to the opponents Ki, rather than how beat down they get.
If that is the case, Vegeta training with someone overwhelmingly stronger with Godly Ki for an extended period would have certainly caused him to adapt to and with that Ki. So why didn't Goku acquire the Ki training with King Kai? Because King Kai was far weaker and likely didn't train Goku with fisticuffs. Vegeta's trainer was vastly stronger and trained him and Goku hand to hand.
Now, I know this might sound like the theory that Zenkais are the body responding to the threat around them. The difference is that it isn't necessarily the threat, but rather the strength and nature of the Ki itself.
Now what about Cell's growth into Super Perfect Cell? It was his own Ki afterall. Yes, but also consider that the growth wasn't as big as we may think. He went from firmly stronger than Gohans SSJ1 to likely matching his SSJ2 form (although that is up for debate), which means his growth had to fit well within Gohan's X2 multiplier for SSJ2. Also consider that Cell's big boost appears to be gaining his own version of SSJ2, meaning he likely saw little actual growth in base power.
Cell got stronger after he blew himself up because of saiyan's gene within him. Saiyans believed to got much stronger when they survived in near death or death itself, Vegeta explains that on Frieza arc in Namek.
@@danjiro1508 He didn't really get much stronger. Remember, Gohan's powerup was only x2. Even after Gohan was badly injured (literally the loss of an arm an alot of blood), he was able to match Cell, and ultimately able to overtake him with morale support.
Cell was already stronger than base SSJ. I'd say he is about 1.25x SSJ (remember that he was far more outclassed by SSJ2 than how he outclassed SSJ). At best, Gohan may have been only 1.5X ssj with his injuries, so Cell's growth would have been probably 20% growth at best.
Even if you disagree with my numbers, the fact is, he went from strong enough to decidedly beat SSJ to strong enough to barely tie a very badly injured SSJ2. It wasn't a big increase for him.
His Zenkai never kicked up when he was badly injured before, such as against Goku. I think the Zenkai here was more due to him having faced a greater SSJ2 power, as some people theorize that his super form was his "SSJ2." Remember that he showed a form similar to SSJ Level 3 against Trunks without ever using SSJ, so many believe he has a permanent access to it in a sort of "Not fully saiyan but rather a monster using Saiyan DNA" kind of way. So it would make sense if his "Zenkai" was really his Saiyan energy replicating SSJ2 instead of SSJ. Of course, since he is only partly Saiyan, it wouldn't have a similar multiplier.
That does make sense, I always saw it as the body reacting via some sort of saiyan Epigenetic function like working a muscle to near failure to to failure to maximize its growth. Pardon me for making this about something like the gym but working a muscle group out in a different way then what it’s used to does work out the muscles associated with it differently, with the smaller muscles getting focused and forced to grow in order to adapt as compared to the larger adapted muscles being the main movers in the normal way, we can then compare saiyans to something like a muscle…the more trauma they receive the more power they will gain after surviving the encounter, with encounters farther then what they are used to giving a new demand to grow stronger. Just using a muscle analogy to try and solidify your concept. The saiyan biology is truly impressive

3 years late, but there seems to be a common theme with Vegeta, every "1st time" we see him go into a new form, it's never Vegeta's first time, he always does it off screen, then later explains how it happened to us the audience.
Same with Goku, though. The only transformation we see first time is SSJ and SSG.

Having multiple writers isn't that bad. We are in a modern dragon ball era, so toriyama isn't going to be around forever and the franchise can be on-going. I think they learned this move from American Comicbook writers; hence, the multiverse addition to the series, so there is always someone stronger. Also toriyama cannot singly handle the series demand and fifty million spin off series would just annoy people. If you read about cell arc--the demand made the producers push toriyama and made him have harder things to draw. If dragonball was an indie anime/manga, yeah I get that, but no its pop culture icon competing against worldwide icons. Moreover, Dragonball Super is an economic force for Japan with the new Broly movie generating 88 million. Just a new perspective for anyone reading the comments.

There is one advantage of SSG over blue, and it was stated in super. SSG is less physically draining then blue is, allowing it to be sustained for longer.
For me SSB is more like a stronger form if you wanna brute force your way to your opponent and SSG red is like a sustained attack, power, speed and more like balanced and less energy draining.

@@tomasfawcett8653 To be fair SSG comes up way less than Blue in the anime, like 95% Blue / 5% SSG max. I don't remember him using it in the first tournament, almost 100% certain he didn't use it in the Goku Black arc, and then he pulled it out once or twice in the Tournament of Power. Honestly I agree that holding Blue until the first tournament or Goku Black would've been better but I understand disagreements with that.

I actually wish this was true, it would be great to explain it like this.
When doing the ritual, a link is established in the saiyans, so they are all connected, it's just that Goku got most of the power.
Everybody else HAS God ki after that they just have to work harder to draw it out and use it.
This would be interesting so u could give everyone something to do, as they would all have their individual "God moments" where when they come to a certain realization of self or work hard enough, they unlock the form.

Essentially just because you can fully internalize the ki, the body has to train to handle the PRESSURE. Thus Yamcha in theory could internalize the ki, but not necessarily his full potential or greater than his current fathered power level. Though once mastered the user can now fully power up but containing all their ki and beyond but are much more efficient. The efficiency is also mentioned by wiese as well.

@@N.N01 God Ki base is "God-like Saiyan" or "Saiyan beyond God" - it's when Goku and Vegeta basically have a White Aura in their base form. Even then in the Super anime they aren't actually using God Ki during this state, but it's sort of the precursor to it, where they start raising their energy to get to the point where if they used God Ki they can transform to a Super Saiyan God.

Red CAN'T be faster than blue, because blue is red WITH super saiyan, not a completely different transformation. It combines red and super saiyan, and ends up getting the speed and power boosts from BOTH forms.

I like to head cannon Vegeta was the first to turn SSJB. He went to train with Whis and at some point unlocked SSJG. He trains to master the form but is told by Whis that he's still weaker than Goku when he fought Beerus. After some training sessions Vegeta has an emotional moment (something like how he's always playing "catch up" with Goku), gets pissed and, similar to how Gohan tapped into SSJ2 while he was training with Goku, briefly turns SSJB before going back to base exhausted. Whis notes how his power just skyrocketed, far surpassing Goku's, giving Vegeta drive to train harder. After Goku joins and they begin training together he notices how he can't quite keep up with Vegeta, so he challenges Vegeta to a match to see how much stronger he has gotten. They fight, cycling through their transformations until they reach SSJG. They have an all out brawl but Goku can sense that, while he's going all out, Vegeta's still holding back. Goku tells Vegeta he wants to fight him at his best, and with some encouragement Whis, Vegeta reveals his new transformation and bodies Goku. Maybe he even fights Beerus
I thought of this head cannon because in my book Vegeta needs a "first". I mean Goku was the first to turn SSJ, SSJ3, SSJ4 ( if you count GT), SSJG, and mastered UI.
As a Vegeta fan I feel good knowing he has a "first person to reach a new transformation" achievement to call his own. Whether or not you agree, or even like my head cannon is completely fine.😁
