Christ almighty, look, I just got done watching a VICE documentary on the Mexican border, it broke my heart, this was the next video I watched, I can't do today.
This is the kind of stuff that happens when the characters aren't properly handled by writers who are think they can just do what they want with these characters. They write the characters for themselves and not the way they are intended. They want to fulfill some stupid fantasies they have for these characters that aren't going to go over well all because they have some fetish or desire they need to quench or something. I think the root of the problem is how sexually depraved society is and that inevitably finds it's way to comics resulting in them becoming more sex driven as per the writer's desire or the fan's or whoever. But all it does is result in bad character writing with characters like Bruce and Starfire and She Hulk acting inconsistent to their heroic ideals. I mean sexuality for sexuality sake isn't very heroic. It can be downright cruel and inconsiderate in fact.
Sexuality isn't supposed to be "heroic", it's just a burning natural desire that ALL people have, and there's nothing wrong with showing characters be sexual as LONG as it's handled well and not just some fetish or forced "shipping" from the writer to see to simple fulfill their fantasies in professional stories. Batman/Bruce Wayne is naturally sexual from being a womanizer but what he did with Barbara is ENTIRELY out of character as she's his adoptive son's ex-girlfriend, it's not something he would do especially when he's WAY older than her in this case and they work together. Starfire and She Hulk are VERY sexual characters but it fits well with their character as long as it doesn't undermine them at all as heroes, which luckily it didn't at all.

Oh yeah I remember reading this. I remember hating it. I remember wanting to erase my memory. I remember wondering what kind of drugs the writers were on. I'm pretty sure this is one the most infamous batman comics in history.
Batgirl always had an attraction to Batman (not specifically Bruce Wayne). It kind of like how in the 80's Black Cat loved Spiderman but not Peter Parker and that scene when Peter finally revealed his secret identity to her and she screams "put your mask back on". Dick was always the right person for Barbara but she could not get past the fantasy of Batman until what happened to Tim. Bruce "all that matters is the mission" personality could never truly understand the emotional side of relationships. There is no doubt he should have been more sensitive to the situation between Barbara and Dick. I just do not think that is how his tactical mind processes things...

You can see a phone call between Bruce and Barbara in the heat of their relationship in the Batman animated movie Mystery of the Batwoman. It also has a crazy cool origin of Batwoman.
Batman was THE best superhero of all time (in my opinion) when I was a kid. Especially the Michael Keaton version "Batman," and "Batman Returns." The 90's cartoon titled "Batman" was also my favorite. To this day. Now that I'm 35, I never realized how much of a dick Bruce/Batman really is. He's truly dark.

I think a lot of people like to forget that Barbara had a crush on Bruce in the New Adventures. Tim even teases Bruce about it in The Mystery of Batwoman. It really doesn't bother me because at the end of the day they're both grown adults; the only issue I really have is that it all happened at Dicks expense and it caused such a huge fallout.
I mean to be fair there have been hints over the years Barbara at one point or another had feelings for Bruce. Weather this happened before Dick or after they broke up the first time is up in the air but the feelings were there. Probably the most prominent example would have to be the film Mystery of the Batwoman where she was clearly flirting over the phone but people debate weather its canon or not all the time. It makes for good drama and you could say it's a very significant event to lead up to Batman Beyond. But me personally I've always been kinda indifferent, romantic drama happens all the time in comics as much as it does IRL.
Please do an episode on the UNWORTHY THOR storyline it seems to AWESOME and well-written to ignore P.S: part 3 on the POWER COSMIC THOR vs the BLACK BREATH would also be sweet.

This is the kind of stuff that happens when the characters aren't properly handled by writers who are think they can just do what they want with these characters. They write the characters for themselves and not the way they are intended. They want to fulfill some stupid fantasies they have for these characters that aren't going to go over well all because they have some fetish or desire they need to quench or something. I think the root of the problem is how sexually depraved society is and that inevitably finds it's way to comics resulting in them becoming more sex driven as per the writer's desire or the fan's or whoever. But all it does is result in bad character writing with characters like Bruce and Starfire and She Hulk acting inconsistent to their heroic ideals. I mean sexuality for sexuality sake isn't very heroic. It can be downright cruel and inconsiderate in fact.
Sexuality isn't supposed to be "heroic", it's just a burning natural desire that ALL people have, and there's nothing wrong with showing characters be sexual as LONG as it's handled well and not just some fetish or forced "shipping" from the writer to see to simple fulfill their fantasies in professional stories. Batman/Bruce Wayne is naturally sexual from being a womanizer but what he did with Barbara is ENTIRELY out of character as she's his adoptive son's ex-girlfriend, it's not something he would do especially when he's WAY older than her in this case and they work together. Starfire and She Hulk are VERY sexual characters but it fits well with their character as long as it doesn't undermine them at all as heroes, which luckily it didn't at all.

Oh yeah I remember reading this. I remember hating it. I remember wanting to erase my memory. I remember wondering what kind of drugs the writers were on. I'm pretty sure this is one the most infamous batman comics in history.
Batgirl always had an attraction to Batman (not specifically Bruce Wayne). It kind of like how in the 80's Black Cat loved Spiderman but not Peter Parker and that scene when Peter finally revealed his secret identity to her and she screams "put your mask back on". Dick was always the right person for Barbara but she could not get past the fantasy of Batman until what happened to Tim. Bruce "all that matters is the mission" personality could never truly understand the emotional side of relationships. There is no doubt he should have been more sensitive to the situation between Barbara and Dick. I just do not think that is how his tactical mind processes things...

Batman was THE best superhero of all time (in my opinion) when I was a kid. Especially the Michael Keaton version "Batman," and "Batman Returns." The 90's cartoon titled "Batman" was also my favorite. To this day. Now that I'm 35, I never realized how much of a dick Bruce/Batman really is. He's truly dark.

I think a lot of people like to forget that Barbara had a crush on Bruce in the New Adventures. Tim even teases Bruce about it in The Mystery of Batwoman. It really doesn't bother me because at the end of the day they're both grown adults; the only issue I really have is that it all happened at Dicks expense and it caused such a huge fallout.

I mean to be fair there have been hints over the years Barbara at one point or another had feelings for Bruce. Weather this happened before Dick or after they broke up the first time is up in the air but the feelings were there.
Probably the most prominent example would have to be the film Mystery of the Batwoman where she was clearly flirting over the phone but people debate weather its canon or not all the time.
It makes for good drama and you could say it's a very significant event to lead up to Batman Beyond.
But me personally I've always been kinda indifferent, romantic drama happens all the time in comics as much as it does IRL.
