It’s about her body language. She also manages to carry her comedic energy really well while singing which I find impressive. Thank you for explaining why I loved this more than any of the others I’ve seen. 😭
Can you imagine... Phantom meeting Cinderella like I just can't keep thinking about it Phantom: I'm your angel of music! Cinderella: That makes no sense :)
Sierra is amazing!! Guess what would have been amazing?? If she turned that D5 at the end to a D6!!! She can hit it, she's been one of the best Christines on Broadway
Just because you can doesn't mean that you should. I actually think Sierra showing off and doing that would have ruined her characterization. Cinderella is not a showoff, she is incredibly humble and grounded. Bringing out a random high note just because you can would not work for this character or performance. Plus, changing what Sondheim has written is just blasphemy. Lol
Annika Wheble she literally originated Ariel. And she’s done belty roles like Fantine in Les Mis and Sarah in Guys and Dolls. Also, Phantom isn’t really an opera.
BRAVA! That was wonderful. She really brought herself to the role, something all these parts really need if they're going to shine. Great job and God bless 🙏👏🏽

What I wouldn’t have given to be at this show. Which is a funny thing to say for a girl who has lived in NYC all her life. Usually, the only thing standing in my way of a truly great Broadway performance is budget. But this time, no. I needed a flight ticket to California this time. Lol

i love that she's all slumped and wobbly. she's not a princess she's just dressed like one and i love that this actress really showed that.
Or could be she’s only wearing one heel
Or because she's technically not moving, this is her thought-process.
THATS MY GIRL SIERRA BOGESS MY DUUUUDE
Because she's lost one of her glass slippers on the sticky step.
It’s about her body language. She also manages to carry her comedic energy really well while singing which I find impressive. Thank you for explaining why I loved this more than any of the others I’ve seen. 😭
this is performed so differently than all other Cinderella’s I’ve seen, it’s very refreshing. also she makes Sondheim music sound effortless
And it often is not effortless---that she can do such is a gift.
I was expecting her to sing it really high - it's very surprising (AND COOL) to hear Sierra sing almost an entire song in a lower range
OH yeah she’s the best! You should hear her as Christine, it’s the best performance I’ve ever watched!
Oh yeah her names Sierra Boggess
Scarlett Flower yes ik she’s amazing :,)
This was so comically and intelligently performed
I love the way she seems like she’s never worn a ball gown before. It’s funny and real. So well acted.
She made this role a lot more comedic than I have seen before
Laura Benanti was pretty funny and clumsy in the 2002 revival.

how young and innocent we were

She’s playing this as a completely reaction to something so ridiculous. I love it. Not to mention she sounds phenomenal. Wow.
Can you imagine... Phantom meeting Cinderella like I just can't keep thinking about it
Phantom: I'm your angel of music!
Cinderella: That makes no sense :)
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 when I read your comment I heard them in my head
Especially because in "Into the woods" she already has an Angel - it's her mother's shadow...
Omg i died laughing at this 😂😂😂
She does a brilliant job with a difficult melody and tough phrasing.
Sondheim songs seem hard to memorize to me
@@silentsmurf Likely so-they are written in free verse, so real rhyme scheme
This is just beautiful and so effortless I love her so much
This might be my favorite version of this song. I just love her.
Sierra is amazing!!

She was born to play the naive soprano princess. She just soars in those roles. :)
This was sooooo clean though! I think it sounded great!
I think it’s better to leave it how Sondheim wrote it
@@elizatoponce9375 It’s truly just high note whores being high note whores

I'm so used to seeing her singing Christine, it's nice to hear her not singing opera

Phantom of the Opera is not opera FFS 🙄😒😓
KingofMeereen yeah Christine is literally the only soprano role she’s played so far, she usually does mezzo stuff and is very good at it
@@melissam597 She played Cosette, which is a soprano role too.
@@elizabethtan2116 are there any bootlegs or videos of Sierra as Cosette?

She is ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS
beautiful, beyond talented
She kinda reminds me of a theatre teacher performing for her students
PERFECT in every way. My fav Cinder since the original, the great Kim Crosby. LOVE Sierra.
Kim Crosby is an icon 😭
I looked at the tumbnail and went " when did she do Elizabeth? There is an English version?" and clicked in. I am stupid 😂
why has sierra played every role I dream of
Remember. You are enough. You are more than enough. It is unbelievable how enough you are.

I really love the way Boggess approached this song; however I still really enjoy the way Anna Kendrick sings this song as well
