excellent explanation & demonstration!!! I am 30 years old and I started playing badminton just 3 months ago. your videos is really helping me a lot. Thank you! 谢谢!
Hi Sir, excellent video for backhand learners, you are the best coach out there on the internet and your videos are always to the point for everyone who wants to learn the game. Its just not the technical aspects, you also discuss the mental aspect of the game. I thank you a lot for all your clips on youtube. Please make some videos on how to teach young kids, basics in badminton so that they can learn right things when they are young. Thanks
Thanks for another useful clip, coach Lee. I always love your great enthusiasm for teaching badminton. Well, you might be little bit getting older just like me. However, your mind will be only getting stornger than anyone else each year..!! cheers.
Thank you very much for your warmest comment. I am very pleased with your comment and thank you. Yes I shall continue till I upload all I know and hope they can be a little help to badminton lovers. Lee
Dear Coach Lee! For this practice would you suggest to use heavier racket (improve muscle power) or the light one i play with (improve the feeling)? Many thanks for all of your clips and yr kind answer. Rgds Attila
Please don't thank me..... Sir you are doing a great job I highly esteem you!! We students who wants to learn this sport......... But do not have proper coaching Thank you so much sir!!!
Hi sir, I am always afraid when I hit clear I will hit too far out and 7 out of 10 time i hit hit. How can I know how much further i have to hit to avoid hitting out. Thanks
Coach Lee! Great to see you are active on the channel again! We all missed you! Is it possible you can do a review of different ways of backhand grips/styles? You introduced us to the "wave," but you also showed us the finger power. Another one is with the regular grip with thumb resting on the side. It would be great if you could differentiate the pros and cons of each.
Thank you very much for your kindest comment. Yes I shall make clip for it and your question is a very good item for many players. I will do it on my next recording. Possibly in this month. Thank you. Lee
In doubles , how to move into position after a rear court player during a front-back combination plays a drop (cross / straight) , who should go in - if the reply is also a drop. If possible do a clip on this. Thanks For Everything.
Sir Lee I have started my career in my 1st standard till now with many breaks it had been 11 full years but my quality in play had never increased but watching your videos for 2 months only related to my problem in the court made my play better seriously. Talking about the breaks I had took a lot many just for my studies now I had a lot of time for badminton now I am 17 years old and now I can spear a whole 4 hors or a bit more for badminton daily so can you please tell me if I can make a good badminton career or totally leave it because I can't in clubs because the club players are not serious one in playing game and can't waste my time with them as they are not a good competition to me and this way I can't enjoy a game too and first point I am not a beginner and somehow a good player with a good footwork and reachability and the second point is that I can't play in clubs so what would you suggest sir? Should I continue hard for a good career at this age and is 4 hours daily sufficient enough to improve my badminton career please let me know. If there is a chance then please reply how to train hard to train atleast for national level iam serious about this so please give me a detailed information thank you sir.
Thank you for your comment. Please let me confirm. You have about 4-5 hours training daily but the players arround you are not competitive or good players. You also do not have good level practice partner. But you have desire to be one of the top/best players in the world. Am I right? Before I advise me I need to know the condition arround you clearly. Please let me know if I miss anything else. I can feel and see you really like badminton and desire to achieve something in badminton. Lee
Coaching Badminton Yes sir and I want to know how hard I need to do to reach That top standard like, foot work practice ,fitness training, daily feeding with shuttles and every thing properly because iam into it and I am ready to sacrifice anything so please try to solve my problem by replying or making a video for people like me or please give me your contact details so that I can reach you during my holidays using my time for badminton rather than wasting my time and as you said there are no good players for competing so that I can change my game remarkably and aslo no good coach who is as good as you like giving tips , correcting my mistakes ,giving good fitness etc etc .Hoping for a positive reply Thank you sir
I understand. There are few other players like you who would like me to provide detail training program to be a serious badminton training. I am going to make clips for you and others. I am fully booked until the end of August but from September, you will be able to see detail training program and clips for it. Until then please do general fitness training such as running, weight training and so on. Please use this comment session so other people can benefit from it. Lee
Yes your thumb position has to be changed. I am going to make clips for it later. Depending on how you late where is shuttlecock your thumb position has to be changed. Lee
I am thankful that I have a powerful backhand (i practice using a bottle of water..of course still full body drill) but my issue is that i have a hard time controlling the power.. :(
Will do coach. :) Been practicing a lot with my backhand aiming these past few days..since i think im good with it..i should focus more on power..backhand drops are improving..just the lobs that im having issues..hehe
Yes flexiblelity is very important factor for badminton players. Players who have it can move easy and lightly and move deeper. Which racket to use is not easy to say as there are many factors to be considered. Lee
Then, I shall sell my home, and walk the million (or so) miles to China to become your pupil. Along the way, I will meet countless people who will spur me on my quest, I will train along the way. A bit like what Batman did.
OK. Then I shall sell my home and all worldly possessions and walk my way to Canada (via Korea) and pay homage to your birthplace, accompanied only by a Victor Jetspeed 10 badminton racket and spurred on in my quest to be by your side as we take on the filth of this world by playing exceptional badminton.
